Admonition regarding the end....

In view of the near end you will be admonished time and again to remember your actual task, which concerns your soul's full maturing and not only the fulfilment of your bodily needs. You should always be aware of the fact that every day might be the last one for you, that the next day you might no longer be able to use earthly goods and that you will only keep that which the soul had acquired in earthly life. And how deprived will you then feel if you have no spiritual possessions to show for, how poor you will be despite your great earthly wealth and reputation.... None of it will follow you into eternity; spiritual goods, however, cannot be taken from you, they are your possessions and will make you exceedingly happy when you enter the spiritual realm. And all of you can count on having only a short lifetime left, regardless of how old you are. Thank God for it if the grace of a long life on earth was granted to you already, but also bear in mind that you could die any day, for no-one knows the day and the hour of his passing away from this earth. However, in view of the end many people will lose their life prematurely, and this will always be God's will, Who tries to save what can still be saved.... Not everyone will be able to survive the events which will yet happen on earth before the end, and besides, it can also still be an extraordinary blessing if the human being is allowed to leave the earth sooner in order to still find an opportunity in the spiritual realm for the maturing of his soul, because he is negligent in his psychological task. Were you able to foresee, you would truly not accomplish your earthly work so keenly, you would.... if you are of good will, focus on the work of improving your souls, for you would recognise that all earthly efforts and worries are useless in view of what lies ahead of you. But your way of life may not be enforced upon you, you must choose the right path voluntarily, you must accept the admonitions and warning presented to you by God through His Word and comply with them, and it will only be a blessing for you. And anyone with open eyes and ears can see for himself what is happening in the world and how chaotic everything is, which irrevocably must lead to a catastrophic end.

And if he listens to God's Word, if he listens to His servants' message, it should be easy for him to lead an appropriate way of life.... if he merely believes that he is close to the end and believes the information God conveys to him through his messengers....Not much time is left but it would be sufficient for your soul to still attain the necessary maturity, providing you seriously tackle this work.... of being good, of making an effort to treat your fellow human beings with love, of accomplishing selfless works of neighbourly love, of looking towards God and of opening your heart and ears for Him when He speaks to you.... You should only want to do what is right and appeal to God for strength and grace.... And truly, He will look after you and grant you an abundance of strength and grace, for He will leave no-one alone and without help who turns to Him for help and wants to live a right way of life according to God's will. He will be seized by God's love and guided such that everything approaching him will contribute towards attaining maturity of soul. But he must seriously reflect on his actual purpose of existence and not hesitate, for there is not much time left for any of you.... He should listen to what God's messengers reveal to him and arrange his life accordingly.... And he will surely do the right thing, for the time you were granted for the maturing of your souls is approaching its end....

Eindvermaning

Met het oog op het naderende einde wordt u steeds weer vermaand u op uw eigenlijke opdracht te bezinnen, die het rijp worden van uw ziel betreft en niet het vervullen van lichamelijke behoeften. U moet zich er steeds van bewust zijn dat iedere dag voor u de laatste kan zijn, dat er u de volgende dag reeds geen aardse goederen meer van dienst kunnen zijn en dat dan alleen voor u over blijft wat de ziel zich verworven heeft in het aardse leven. Hoe jammerlijk kunt u daar dan staan wanneer u generlei geestelijke goederen kunt laten zien, hoe armzalig kan het met u gesteld zijn ondanks groot aards aanzien en rijkdom. Niets daarvan kunt u meenemen in de eeuwigheid. Geestelijke goederen daarentegen kunnen u niet ontnomen worden, zij zijn uw eigendom en zij zullen u bovenmate zalig maken bij het binnen gaan in het geestelijke rijk. En u allen hebt nog maar op een korte levensduur te rekenen, ongeacht hoe oud u bent.

Had u de genade dat u reeds een lang aards leven mocht afleggen, dank dan God daarvoor. Maar houd ook elke dag rekening met uw overlijden en bereid u er op voor, want niemand weet de dag en het uur van zijn afscheid van deze aarde. Maar vanwege het einde zullen veel mensen vroegtijdig hun leven verliezen en steeds weer zal dat volgens Gods wil zijn die probeert te redden wat er nog te redden valt. Want niet iedereen zal in staat zijn dat, wat zich voor het einde nog op aarde zal afspelen, te overleven. Bovendien kan het ook nog een bijzondere genade betekenen als de mens vroegtijdig de aarde mag verlaten, om in het rijk hierna nog een mogelijkheid te vinden voor het rijp worden van zijn ziel - omdat hij op aarde nalatig is in zijn zielenarbeid.

Kon u vooruitzien, dan zou u waarlijk niet meer zo ijverig uw wereldse arbeid uitvoeren. U zou, wanneer u van goede wil bent, uw ogen alleen maar gericht houden op de arbeid voor uw ziel. Want van alle wereldse moeiten en zorgen zou u dan inzien dat ze nutteloos zijn ten aanzien van wat voor u ligt. U mag echter niet gedwongen worden tot uw levenswijze. U moet vrijwillig de juiste weg inslaan en tevreden zijn met de vermaningen en waarschuwingen die God u door Zijn woord voorhoudt. En u moet ze ook opvolgen, want dat zal voor u tot zegen zijn. Wie zijn ogen en oren open houdt kan zelf zien hoe het in de wereld toegaat, hoe overal chaos te zien is wat onherroepelijk een uiterst noodlottig einde tot gevolg moet hebben. En hoort hij nu Gods woord, luistert hij naar wat Zijn dienaren hem verkondigen, dan zou het voor hem gemakkelijk moeten zijn dienovereenkomstig zijn levenswandel te leiden, als hij maar gelooft hoe dicht hij voor het einde staat en als hij gelooft wat God hem door Zijn boden zeggen laat.

Er is niet veel tijd meer, maar toch zou zij voldoende zijn om uw ziel nog de nodige rijpheid te laten verkrijgen als u deze arbeid maar ernstig ter hand zou nemen. Als u zich bezig zou houden met goed te zijn, uw medemensen liefde te schenken, daden van onbaatzuchtige naastenliefde te verrichten, tot God uw blik te wenden en voor Hem hart en oor te openen wanneer Hij u aanspreekt.

U moet alleen het juiste willen doen en tot God bidden om kracht en genade, dan zal Hij zich ook waarlijk om u bekommeren en u bovenmate bedenken met kracht en genade. Want Hij laat niemand alleen en zonder hulp die zich tot Hem wendt om hulp en die een juiste levenswandel wil leiden naar Gods wil. Deze wordt vastgepakt door de liefde van God en hij wordt zo geleid dat alles wat hem overkomt, zal bijdragen tot het verkrijgen van zielenrijpheid. Alleen moet hij zich ernstig bezinnen op zijn eigenlijke bestaansdoel en hij mag niet aarzelen, want er blijft u allen niet veel tijd meer. Hij moet luisteren naar wat Gods boden hem verkondigen en zijn leven daarnaar inrichten. En hij zal daar zeker goed aan doen, want de tijd die u werd toegestaan tot het rijp worden van uw zielen loopt ten einde.
