‘Test the spirits....’ False Christs and prophets....

Test the spirits whether they are of God.... When you accept spiritual knowledge it is very important to seriously examine its origin.... You should and need to scrutinise it because you are responsible for your soul yourselves, which can only benefit from the truth but whose higher development is endangered by misguided spiritual information. If you are offered spiritual concepts, i.e. knowledge which cannot be earthly verified, you need to subject it to serious investigation. You should know that light and darkness fight each other, that the prince of darkness fights against pure truth, that he will try anything to lead people into wrong thinking and not even shy away from shrouding himself in the garment of an angel in order to deceive people....

But you can expose him yourselves, you can test which spirit conveys spiritual knowledge to you. And the criteria you should consider with serious examination are: that the conveyed mental information proclaims Jesus Christ as Son of God and Redeemer of the world, that its message consists of His doctrine of love and that you are reminded to follow Jesus.... Then you may unconditionally accept it and address God Himself as the source of knowledge conveyed to you, then you may endorse it as divine truth. You need not fear to be pushed into misguided thinking by the spirit of darkness, for he will never acknowledge Jesus Christ, Who has delivered the world from sin.

False Christs and false prophets will arise, and particularly during the last days before the end.... They will speak the name of Jesus Christ with their mouth and yet they will not be true messengers of His divine teaching of love, because they themselves will not do as they preach or their teachings are of a worldly nature, they will not be recognisable as true Christians. And this verbal confession is frequently a disguise which hides the enemy of truth. They will not truly believe in Jesus’ Words, which He spoke on earth, in his promises, for they lack love, the sign of a true follower of Jesus....

Consequently their words will be without spirit, they will be without strength, they cannot be considered as purely divine truth and need also be seriously scrutinised. But you can make this test anytime if you, in the sincere desire for truth, ask God Himself for His help to enlighten your spirit, to guide your thoughts right and to teach you to always differentiate between truth and error, and everyone who desires the spirit of God will receive it....

„Esaminate gli spiriti.... “ – Falsi cristi e falsi profeti

Esaminate gli spiriti, se sono da Dio. E’ necessaria una seria critica, quando ricevete del bene spirituale, da dove questo bene spirituale ha la sua origine. Voi potete e dovete esaminare, perché voi stessi avete la responsabilità per la vostra anima, alla quale serve soltanto la Verità, che però è a rischio dal bene mentale errato nel suo sviluppo verso l’Alto. Se ora vi viene offerto un bene spirituale, cioè un sapere, che non è dimostrabile nel modo terreno, allora lo dovete sottoporre ad un severo esame, dovete sapere, che la Luce e le tenebre si combattono, che il principe dell’oscurità lotta contro la pura Verità, che tenta di tutto, per guidare gli uomini nel pensare errato e non ha nemmeno paura, di avvolgersi nel manto d’un Angelo per ingannare gli uomini. Ma voi stessi lo potete scoprire, potete esaminare, quale spirito vi apporta il bene mentale, e questi vi siano i segni di riconoscimento, che dovete osservare nel severo esame: che Gesù Cristo viene annunciato come Figlio di Dio e Redentore del mondo attraverso il bene mentale guidato a voi, che di ciò è il contenuto della Sua Dottrina d’Amore e che siete ammoniti alla successione di Gesù. Allora lo potete accettare assolutamente rivolgervi a Dio Stesso come la Fonte del sapere apportatovi, allora lo potete sostenere come Verità divina, non avete da temere, di venire spinti nel pensare errato dallo spirito dell’oscurità, perché questo non riconosce mai e poi mai Gesù Cristo, il Quale ha redento il mondo dal peccato. Sorgeranno falsi cristi e falsi profeti e particolarmente nell’ultimo tempo prima della fine. Condurranno in bocca il Nome di Gesù Cristo e non saranno comunque veri annunciatori della Sua divina Dottrina dell’Amore, oppure orienteranno i loro insegnamenti in modo mondano, non saranno riconoscibili come veri cristiani. E quest’affermazione con la bocca è sovente un mantello di copertura, sotto il quale si cela il nemico della Verità. Loro stessi non avranno una vera fede nelle Parole di Gesù, che Lui ha espresso sulla Terra, nelle Sue Promesse, perché a loro manca l’amore, il contrassegno dell’autentico seguace di Gesù. E perciò le loro parole non porteranno in sé nessuno spirito, saranno senza forza, non potranno essere pronunciate come pura Verità divina e richiedere contemporaneamente un serio esame. Ma voi potete eseguire in ogni tempo questo esame, se nel profondo desiderio per la Verità chiedete a Dio Stesso il Suo Aiuto, affinché illumini il vostro spirito, guidi bene il vostro pensare ed insegni in ogni tempo di distinguere la Verità dall’errore, ed ognuno, che desideri lo Spirito di Dio, lo riceverà.
