Measures against love work....

The world will make demands on you which you will never be able to fulfil if you respect God's commandments. You should indeed be subject to the worldly authorities, yet if you are openly demanded to act against His divine will, that you thus disregard the commandment of neighbourly love and sin through unkind actions, then you should acknowledge God alone as your authority so that you will not let your soul perish for the sake of earthly advantage. And therefore you should firmly memorize God's will, you should know why you have to fulfil it and what consequences you will receive if you act against His will. You should know how extremely necessary the activity of love on earth is and that only love alone can redeem you.... furthermore, you should know how unstable earthly goods are and what an unfavourable exchange you enter into if you sacrifice your salvation for the sake of these goods. You will be hard pressed and it will not be easy to resist the world's demands, yet you will be able to do so as soon as you appeal to God for strength and join God the more the world wants to separate you from Him. For this alone is the purpose of its plans and measures, that the christian teaching of love is eliminated and thus God Himself is alienated from people, Who can only be found through love. People know nothing of the power of love or they would try to acquire it. They only know self-love and seek to increase their possessions at the expense of their neighbour. And thus they pay no attention to the commandment of neighbourly love, and they demand the same from fellow human beings instead of inspiring them to love. And they will severely harass people who make God's commandments their guiding principle because the latter are not in harmony with the commandments of the worldly authorities. And then they shall seriously examine to what extent the will of God is recognizable in the requirements of the worldly authorities.... What is harmful to the neighbour must never be done if it can be avoided, i.e. if the person is not incapable of defending himself through coercive measures. And the body should take suffering and tribulation upon itself if it can thereby avert a sinful act. For his soul will thank him one day by assisting him in his later upward development. Moreover, the body's adversity is not long-lasting, but the soul will have to atone in the beyond if it does not observe the commandment of neighbourly love on earth and, for the sake of earthly advantage, submits to the world's desire which demands unkindness from people. For if this rules, then the devil rules people and you must not submit to him. You must resist him even if you are severely harassed and have to fear for your physical life, for by doing so you will save your soul from destruction and through your example also that of your fellow human beings if you practice love, even if the world wants to prevent you from doing so....

Măsuri împotriva muncii din dragoste....

Lumea vă va impune pretenții pe care nu le veți putea îndeplini niciodată dacă respectați poruncile lui Dumnezeu. Într-adevăr, trebuie să vă supuneți autorității lumești, dar atunci când vi se cere în mod deschis să acționați contrar voinței Sale divine, să nesocotiți, prin urmare, porunca iubirii aproapelui și să păcătuiți prin acțiuni lipsite de iubire, atunci trebuie să-L recunoașteți doar pe Dumnezeu ca autoritate, astfel încât să nu vă lăsați sufletul să se piardă de dragul unui avantaj pământesc. Și de aceea trebuie să memorați cu fermitate voia lui Dumnezeu, să știți de ce trebuie să o împliniți și ce consecințe veți suferi dacă acționați împotriva voinței Sale. Ar trebui să știți cât de extrem de necesară este activitatea iubirii pe Pământ și că numai iubirea vă poate răscumpăra.... De asemenea, ar trebui să știți cât de impermanente sunt bunurile pământești și în ce schimb nefavorabil intrați dacă vă sacrificați mântuirea sufletului vostru de dragul acestor bunuri. Va fi greu și nu vă va fi ușor să vă împotriviți cerințelor lumii, dar veți putea face acest lucru de îndată ce îi veți cere putere lui Dumnezeu și vă veți alătura lui Dumnezeu cu cât lumea vrea să vă despartă mai mult de El. Căci acesta este singurul scop al planurilor și măsurilor sale, ca învățătura creștină a iubirii să fie eliminată și astfel să fie înstrăinat de oameni Dumnezeu Însuși, Care nu poate fi găsit decât prin iubire. Oamenii nu știu nimic despre puterea iubirii, altfel ar încerca să o dobândească. Ei nu cunosc decât iubirea de sine și caută să-și sporească bunurile în detrimentul aproapelui lor. Și astfel, ei nu respectă porunca iubirii aproapelui și cer același lucru de la semenii lor, în loc să-i încurajeze să iubească. Și îi vor hărțui pe oamenii care fac din poruncile lui Dumnezeu principiul lor călăuzitor, deoarece acestea din urmă nu sunt în armonie cu poruncile autorităților lumești. Și atunci ei ar trebui să examineze serios în ce măsură voința lui Dumnezeu este recunoscută în cerințele autorităților lumești.... Ceea ce este dăunător aproapelui nu trebuie să fie niciodată pus în aplicare dacă poate fi evitat, adică dacă persoana nu se poate apăra prin măsuri coercitive. Iar trupul trebuie să accepte suferința și greutățile dacă astfel poate evita un act păcătos. Căci sufletul îi va mulțumi într-o zi, stând alături de el în dezvoltarea sa ulterioară ascendentă. Mai mult, suferința trupului nu va dura mult timp, dar sufletul va trebui să ispășească în lumea de dincolo dacă nu respectă porunca iubirii aproapelui pe Pământ și, de dragul avantajelor pământești, se conformează dorinței lumii care pretinde lipsa de bunătate din partea oamenilor. Căci dacă aceasta domnește, atunci diavolul îi conduce pe oameni și nu trebuie să vă supuneți lui. Trebuie să vă împotriviți lui, chiar dacă sunteți puternic asupriți și trebuie să vă temeți pentru viața voastră fizică, căci astfel vă salvați sufletul de la distrugere și prin exemplul vostru și pe cel al semenilor voștri, dacă practicați iubirea, chiar dacă lumea vrea să vă împiedice să faceți acest lucru....
