Measures against love work....

The world will make demands on you which you will never be able to fulfil if you respect God's commandments. You should indeed be subject to the worldly authorities, yet if you are openly demanded to act against His divine will, that you thus disregard the commandment of neighbourly love and sin through unkind actions, then you should acknowledge God alone as your authority so that you will not let your soul perish for the sake of earthly advantage. And therefore you should firmly memorize God's will, you should know why you have to fulfil it and what consequences you will receive if you act against His will. You should know how extremely necessary the activity of love on earth is and that only love alone can redeem you.... furthermore, you should know how unstable earthly goods are and what an unfavourable exchange you enter into if you sacrifice your salvation for the sake of these goods. You will be hard pressed and it will not be easy to resist the world's demands, yet you will be able to do so as soon as you appeal to God for strength and join God the more the world wants to separate you from Him. For this alone is the purpose of its plans and measures, that the christian teaching of love is eliminated and thus God Himself is alienated from people, Who can only be found through love. People know nothing of the power of love or they would try to acquire it. They only know self-love and seek to increase their possessions at the expense of their neighbour. And thus they pay no attention to the commandment of neighbourly love, and they demand the same from fellow human beings instead of inspiring them to love. And they will severely harass people who make God's commandments their guiding principle because the latter are not in harmony with the commandments of the worldly authorities. And then they shall seriously examine to what extent the will of God is recognizable in the requirements of the worldly authorities.... What is harmful to the neighbour must never be done if it can be avoided, i.e. if the person is not incapable of defending himself through coercive measures. And the body should take suffering and tribulation upon itself if it can thereby avert a sinful act. For his soul will thank him one day by assisting him in his later upward development. Moreover, the body's adversity is not long-lasting, but the soul will have to atone in the beyond if it does not observe the commandment of neighbourly love on earth and, for the sake of earthly advantage, submits to the world's desire which demands unkindness from people. For if this rules, then the devil rules people and you must not submit to him. You must resist him even if you are severely harassed and have to fear for your physical life, for by doing so you will save your soul from destruction and through your example also that of your fellow human beings if you practice love, even if the world wants to prevent you from doing so....

Disposizioni contro l’agire d’amore

Il mondo esigerà da voi delle pretese, che non potrete mai adempiere, se badate ai Comandamenti di Dio. Dovete bensì essere sottomessi all’autorità mondana, ma se da voi viene preteso apertamente di agire contro la Sua divina Volontà, che quindi lasciate inosservati il Comandamento dell’amore per il prossimo e peccate tramite l’agire disamorevole, allora dovete riconoscere unicamente Dio come la vostra Autorità, affinché non lasciate andare perduta la vostra anima per via di un vantaggio terreno. Perciò dovete imprimervi saldamente la Volontà di Dio, dovete sapere perché la dovete adempiere e quali conseguenze vi procura un agire contro la sua Volontà. Dovete sapere, quanto oltremodo necessario sia l’agire d’amore sulla Terra e che soltanto l’amore vi possa salvare, inoltre dovete sapere, quanto instabili siano i beni terreni e quale svantaggioso scambio fate, se per questi beni rinunciate alla salvezza della vostra anima.

Verrete gravemente oppressi e non sarà facile prestare resistenza alle pretese del mondo, ma lo potrete fare, appena chiedete a Dio la Forza e vi unite perciò di più con Dio, più il mondo vi vuole respingere da Lui. Solo questo è il suo scopo con i suoi piani e disposizioni, che venga estraniata agli uomini la Dottrina cristiana dell’amore e con ciò Dio Stesso, il Quale può essere trovato solamente tramite l’amore. Gli uomini non sanno nulla della Forza dell’amore, altrimenti cercherebbero di conquistarselo. Conoscono solamente l’amor proprio e cercano di aumentare il loro possesso a spese del prossimo. Quindi non rispettano nessun Comandamento dell’amore per il prossimo e pretendono lo stesso dai prossimi, invece di stimolare all’amore. Opprimeranno duramente gli uomini che si fanno una linea di condotta dei Comandamenti di Dio, perché questi ultimi non sono in sintonia con i comandamenti dell’autorità mondana. Allora devono esaminare seriamente, quanto sia riconoscibile la Volontà di Dio nelle pretese dell’autorità mondana. Quello che è a danno del prossimo, non deve mai e poi mai essere eseguito se lo si può evitare, almeno fino a quando l’uomo non è incapace di difendersi da disposizioni di costrizione. Il corpo deve prendere su di sé la sofferenza e l’angustia, se con ciò può allontanare un’azione peccaminosa, perché la sua anima glielo ringrazierà un giorno, mentre più avanti lo assiste nel suo sviluppo verso l’Alto. Inoltre la miseria del corpo non è di così lunga durata, ma l’anima deve espiare nell’aldilà, se sulla Terra non ha rispettato il Comandamento dell’amore per il prossimo e per via di un vantaggio terreno si è piegata al desiderio del mondo che pretende il disamore dagli uomini, perché se questo domina, allora il diavolo governa gli uomini, ed a costui non dovete sottomettervi. Dovete opporgli resistenza, persino quando siete fortemente oppressi e non dovete temere per la vostra vita corporea, perché così salvate la vostra anima dalla rovina ed attraverso il vostro esempio anche i vostri prossimi, se esercitate l’amore anche quando il mondo ve lo vuole impedire.
