Time of trouble and tribulation for believers too....

The more lively faith is, the more intimate the connection with God will be and the more noticeable the supply of strength will be that allows people to endure everything that is imposed on them. For the coming time will make great demands on all people and the believers, too, will have to pray earnestly for strength. And it will come upon them like a storm which threatens to overthrow them, and only intimate contact with God will allow them to stand firm. Yet the adversity is never greater than the one Who sends it, Who is also always willing to help if He is faithfully called upon for assistance. Yet for the sake of the whole of humanity the coming adversity is inevitable and understandably the believers will not remain unaffected by it either, only they can reduce it themselves through faithful prayer. People are driving themselves towards the climax, they will stop at nothing if it brings destruction to the one they regard as their enemy, and thereby they plunge themselves into great guilt which cannot be atoned for in any other way than that they themselves have to suffer from what they want to inflict on others. And that is why the adversity will affect everyone, for there are guilty people everywhere, even if there are believers in their midst who now also have to take the heavy fate upon themselves. Their faith will strengthen them and the more lively it is, the easier it will be to bear the hardship. And they will also be able to influence their fellow human beings and lead some of them back to faith in God. For this is why God sends the adversity, so that it will still have an educational effect on the few who can still be saved. And that is why the great coming adversity is a mercy before the end, it is still a means to win souls who become thoughtful through the heavy pressure, through tribulation and misery and seriously seek to change. The living faith of fellow human beings should help them onto the right path, it should also help them to believe and allow them to come into contact with God.... And the believers should always bear in mind that they are needed in this time of need, that God does not call them beforehand in order to have living witnesses on earth in them who stand up for Him and His teachings, who are obvious evidence of God's power flowing from a deep faith and who are to speak and work on earth instead of Him among those who are far from God. Only people can act as mediators on earth, only people can receive and pass on the word of God, because God Himself cannot obviously express Himself in order not to endanger freedom of faith and will. And these must be people who are able to believe in a living way themselves and who do not allow themselves to be depressed by suffering and tribulation but always provide the unbelievers with the proof that the strength of faith flows through them and makes them resistant to all earthly tribulations. They must take the adversity of the times on their shoulders, they must arm themselves with the strength that comes to them from fervent prayer to God. They must always and constantly be ready to serve God as a willing instrument when and where He deems it good, and they must therefore humbly take everything upon themselves and patiently wait for the help of the one Who has assured them of His support, Who will not leave them in adversity if they faithfully trust Him....

Tijd van nood en droefenis ook voor de gelovigen

Hoe meer het geloof levend is, des te inniger zal de verbinding met God zijn en des te merkbaarder ook de toevoer van kracht, die de mens alles laat verdragen wat hem is opgelegd. Want de komende tijd zal grote eisen stellen aan alle mensen. En ook de gelovigen zullen innig om kracht moeten vragen. En als een storm, die hen dreigt omver te trekken, zal het over hen komen. En alleen het innige contact met God zal hen doen standhouden. Maar nooit is de nood groter dan Hij, Die hem stuurt, Die ook steeds bereid is te helpen als Hij gelovig wordt aangeroepen om bijstand. Doch ter wille van de gehele mensheid is de komende nood onafwendbaar. En begrijpelijkerwijs zullen ook de gelovigen er niet door onaangeraakt blijven, alleen kunnen ze zelf voor zich deze minder maken door gelovig gebed.

De mensen gaan de climax tegemoet. Ze schrikken voor niets terug, als het degene verwoesting oplevert, die ze als vijand beschouwen en ze steken zich daardoor in grote schuld, die niet anders kan worden goedgemaakt, dan dat ze zelf moeten lijden onder dat, wat ze anderen willen aandoen. En daarom zal de nood allen treffen, want overal zijn schuldigen, ook al zijn er onder hen gelovigen, die nu ook het zware lot op zich moeten nemen. Het geloof zal hen sterken en hoe meer levend dit is, des te gemakkelijker zal de nood te dragen zijn. En ze zullen ook in staat zijn op de medemensen in te werken en vele van hen terug te brengen tot het geloof in God. Want God stuurt de nood, opdat hij nog een opvoedende uitwerking heeft op de weinigen die nog te redden zijn.

En daarom is de grote komende nood een genade voor het einde. Hij is nog een middel om de zielen te redden, die door de zware druk, door droefenis en ellende gaan nadenken en serieus proberen zich te veranderen. Dezen moeten door het levende geloof van de medemens op de juiste weg worden geholpen. Hij moet hen ook helpen te geloven en ze contact laten leggen met God. En dat moeten de gelovigen zich steeds voorhouden, dat ze dringend nodig zijn in deze tijd van nood. Dat God hen niet tevoren wegroept, om in hen levende getuigen te hebben op aarde, die voor Hem en Zijn leerstellingen opkomen, die duidelijk bewijzen zijn van Gods Kracht Die door een diep geloof in hen stroomt, en die in Zijn plaats moeten spreken en werkzaam zijn op aarde onder diegenen, die ver van God afstaan.

Alleen mensen kunnen als tussenpersoon op aarde werken. Alleen mensen kunnen het Woord Gods ontvangen en doorgeven, omdat God Zelf Zich niet openlijk kan uiten om de vrijheid van geloof en wil niet in gevaar te brengen. En dit moeten mensen zijn, die zelf bij machte zijn levend te geloven en die zich ook niet door leed en rampspoed terneer laten drukken, maar steeds de ongelovigen het bewijs leveren dat de Kracht van het geloof hen doorstroomt en hen in staat stelt weerstand te bieden aan alle aardse kwellingen. Ze moeten de nood van de tijd mede op hun schouders nemen. Ze moeten zich wapenen met de Kracht, Die uit innig gebed tot God in hen groeit. Ze moeten telkens weer bereid zijn als gewillig werktuig God te dienen, wanneer en waar Hij het voor juist houdt. En derhalve moeten ze alles onderdanig op zich nemen en vol geduld wachten op de hulp van Hem, Die hun Zijn bijstand heeft verzekerd, Die hen niet in de nood zal laten als ze Hem gelovig vertrouwen.
