Lauheit.... weakness of will.... slackness in prayer....

The more lukewarm a person is, the stronger the influence he has to fear from the adversary. He then neither offers resistance nor strives for God's strength and is therefore in the greatest danger of becoming weak and succumbing. He should always bear in mind that the ascent to the heights is arduous and that a slackening of his willpower very easily results in a step backwards, which requires renewed effort in order to catch up. The adversary is vigilant, i.e. he does not miss a single moment of a person's weakness, but the latter should also be vigilant so that he does not expose his soul to the danger of being oppressed by the adversary. And the weaker he feels, the more fervently he should pray for strength. But even if he begins to become lukewarm in prayer, the adversary's power over him is great. And yet he cannot be spared the struggle against this power. Spiritual beings certainly stand by him, but their help has to be requested because they cannot become active without the call. And in hours of weakness of will the human being often omits this call as well, and then he is defencelessly at the mercy of the adversary's power. And he has to fight the battle against him himself, which is often very difficult. And it is always the weakening of prayer that causes his willpower to weaken. The more often and more intimately a person unites himself with God, the less he is exposed to the influences of the enemy, because both at the same time, the power from God and the power of the adversary, cannot be effective. But the power from God is always stronger and excludes every activity of evil forces. In hours of need, of lukewarmness and weakness of will, a heartfelt call for the support of good beings suffices and the work of those beings will already be stopped. Only the will to do good must still be present in the human being, and soon the fervour of prayer will also increase again and the human being will have escaped the danger....

MLAKOST.... SLABOST VOLJE.... POPUŠTANJE U MOLITVI....

Što je čovjek mlači to mu veći utjecaj prijeti od strane protivnika. On tada niti pruža otpor, niti traži Božju snagu, pa je tako u najvećoj opasnosti da postane slab i da podlegne. On si pred očima uvijek treba držati to da je uspon mukotrpan i da popuštanje njegove snage volje vrlo lako ima za posljedicu nazadovanje, koje da bi se nadoknadilo opet zahtjeva upotrebu snage.

Protivnik je budan, tj. ne propušta ni trenutak slabosti čovjeka, ali isto tako i ovaj treba biti budan, kako svoju dušu ne bi izložio opasnosti da bude tlačena od strane protivnika. I što slabijim se on osjeća, to revnije on treba moliti za snagu.

No ako on i u molitvi počne biti mlak, moć protivnika nad njim je velika. A borbe protiv te sile tad ne može biti pošteđen. Doduše njemu na raspolaganju stoje dobra duhovna bića, no njihova pomoć mora biti zatražena, jer ona bez poziva ne mogu biti aktivna.

No čovjek često u trenucima slabosti volje zapostavlja i taj poziv, a tad je moći protivnika izložen bez ikakve zaštite. I on sam protiv njega mora izboriti boj koji je često vrlo težak. A uvijek je popuštanje u molitvi ono što čini da slabi njegova snaga volje.

Što češće i intimnije se čovjek povezuje s Bogom, to rjeđe je on izložen utjecajima neprijatelja, jer oboje istovremeno, snaga iz Boga i moć protivnika, ne mogu biti djelatne. A snaga iz Boga uvijek je jača i protjeruje svako djelovanje zlih sila.

U trenucima nevolje, mlakosti i slabosti volje dovoljan je iskreni zov za podršku dobrih bića, pa će djelovanje zlih sila biti zaustavljeno. U čovjeku mora biti prisutna još samo volja za dobrim, pa će uskoro i dubina molitve opet porasti, te je čovjek umakao opasnosti....
