Food for the soul.... spiritual food....
Purely spiritual food is the nourishment of the soul, which can only be offered to you from above. It is a favour from God, which man cannot measure, for He gives man something undeserved, as it were. He gives him loving means for the soul's higher development, He makes everything available to him through which the human being can attain perfection. He pours out divine grace upon the earthly child in the most abundant measure in order to make the path upwards passable for him, and thus He instructs people. And this instruction is the bread of heaven, spiritual nourishment for the soul. Man also needs nourishment to maintain his body, and this is always and constantly imparted to him through God's goodness. But the nourishment the soul needs is of a different kind. The soul can only be considered spiritually because it is the union of spiritual potencies, which are therefore of spiritual origin. These soul potencies must now be supplied with something which is supernatural, which is taken from the spiritual kingdom and can only be perceived by the soul with the spiritual eye. And so the soul is now fed with a nourishment that contributes to the increase of the spiritual, the soul is spiritualized as it were, which was previously turned towards the earthly. For if the soul is only given earthly sustenance it starves and suffers terribly from its meagerness. However, if it is offered spiritual nourishment, its condition is freer.... (interruption)

Alimento del alma.... Alimento espiritual....
El alimento puramente espiritual es el alimento del alma, que solo se os puede ser ofrecido desde arriba. Es una gracia de Dios que el hombre no puede evaluar, porque Él le da al hombre algo inmerecido, por así decirlo. Le da los medios amorosos para el desarrollo superior del alma, y le pone todo a su disposición por lo que el hombre puede lograr la perfección. Derrama la gracia divina en la medida más abundante sobre el hijo terrenal, para hacerle posible el camino hacia las alturas, y entonces instruye a los hombres. Y esta enseñanza es el pan del cielo, el alimento espiritual para el alma.
Para el mantenimiento del cuerpo, el hombre también necesita alimento, y éste le es dado siempre y constantemente por la bondad de Dios. Pero el alimento que necesita el alma es de otro tipo. Al alma sólo puede ser considerado espiritualmente porque es la unión de potencias espirituales, que por tanto son de origen espiritual. Ahora hay que suministrar algo a estas potencias del alma que es sobrenatural, que es tomado del reino espiritual y que solo puede ser percibido por el alma con el ojo espiritual. Y así el alma se alimenta ahora con alimentos que contribuyen al aumento de lo espiritual, el alma está como espiritualizándose, que antes se volvía hacia lo terrenal. Porque si el alma sólo recibe consideración terrenal, muere de hambre y sufre terriblemente por su pobreza. Sin embargo, si se le ofrece alimento espiritual, su estado es más libre....
