Abuzul de putere al celui mai puternic.... Lipsa de iubire....

Spiritul discordiei domină lumea și acest spirit din nou nu poate produce decât discordie și lipsă de iubire. Iubirea nu se va putea dezvolta niciodată acolo unde oamenii se tratează fără iubire. Dimpotrivă, ura și răzbunarea vor înflori în cel mai înalt grad. Iar acest lucru înseamnă o distrugere tot mai mare a ceea ce este posesia celuilalt. Aceasta înseamnă, de asemenea, că dezvoltarea spirituală a ființei umane, care este scopul și obiectivul vieții pământești, va scădea tot mai mult, că ea se va scufunda tot mai mult și, în cele din urmă, va părăsi lumea într-o stare care poate sau trebuie să fie numită aproape mai imatură decât la începutul întrupării sale pe Pământ. Căci lipsa de iubire este opusul a ceea ce duce în sus. Omenirea este prinsă într-o teribilă iluzie; ea se crede chemată să-i suprime sau să-i extermine complet pe cei slabi și consideră că acesta este dreptul celor mai puternici. Ea se revoltă împotriva ordinii divine, care asociază pe cei slabi cu cei puternici, pentru ca aceștia din urmă să se testeze pe sine, dar într-un mod diferit de cum o face.... Căci cel puternic ar trebui să fie cel care dăruiește și să-l îngrijească pe cel slab și care are nevoie de ajutor, el ar trebui să fie alături de el în nevoia și în slăbiciunea lui; cel puternic nu ar trebui să abuzeze de puterea și de tăria sa pentru a-l asupri pe cel mai slab, ci ar trebui să-l apere de asuprire. Dar acolo unde există răutate, ordinea divină nu mai este respectată. Fiecare se iubește doar pe sine însuși, caută să-și sporească propria bunăstare și să se îmbogățească cu bunurile celor slabi care nu-i pot oferi suficientă împotrivire. Iar această stare de lucruri este intolerabilă pe termen lung, deoarece are întotdeauna un efect distructiv, dar niciodată unul constructiv, așa cum tot ceea ce este îndreptat împotriva ordinii divine înseamnă ruină. Este adevărat că în natură se poate observa o luptă constantă, care are ca rezultat întotdeauna o creștere a puterii celui mai puternic. Această luptă duce cu siguranță la transformarea perpetuă a formei exterioare a ființei, dar atunci este voită de Dumnezeu, deoarece Dumnezeu Însuși dirijează voința creaturii și fiecare proces este necesar pentru dezvoltarea superioară a spiritualului în orice formă. Dar ființa umană a depășit toate aceste forme și în timpul vieții sale pământești a primit liberul arbitru pe care acum trebuie să-l folosească pentru dezvoltarea superioară a sufletului. El trebuie să lupte, dar numai împotriva lui însuși și a instinctelor rele din el. El ar trebui să lupte pentru ceea ce este bun, nobil și să încerce să depășească tot ceea ce este josnic, iar aceasta este o luptă constantă..... Și ar trebui să-și ajute semenii în această luptă împotriva lui însuși. Și astfel, ființa umană trebuie să-și reprime orice dorință, trebuie să învețe să disprețuiască ceea ce lumea îi prezintă ca fiind de dorit, astfel încât să nu caute să-și sporească bunurile, ci să le dăruiască cu plăcere și cu bucurie. Dacă face acest lucru, atunci va putea în curând să se lepede de cătușele pământești și să intre nestingherit în împărăția luminii.... Dar ce scopuri urmărește ființa umană în acest moment? Toată gândirea și toată strădania sunt îndreptate doar spre sporirea bunurilor pământești, el vrea să posede atunci când el ar trebui să renunțe.... El se agață cu tenacitate de bunurile pământești și, de asemenea, încearcă să le obțină în mod ilegitim, de îndată ce profită de slăbiciunea semenilor săi și îi învinge în virtutea puterii sale. Și aceasta este consecința lipsei de iubire, care este acum deosebit de evidentă în omenire și care este cauza unor suferințe de nedescris.... căci iubirea nu poate fi trezită decât prin aceasta....

Abuse of the power of the strongest.... unkindness....

The spirit of discord dominates the world, and this spirit can produce nothing other than discord and lack of love. Love will never be able to develop where people treat each other without love. On the other hand, hatred and vengefulness will blossom to the highest level. And this means ever greater destruction of what is the possession of the other. It also means that the human being regresses more and more in his spiritual development, which is the purpose and goal of earthly life, that he sinks deeper and deeper and finally departs from the world in a state that can or must be called almost more immature than at the beginning of his embodiment on earth. For unkindness is the opposite of that which leads upwards. Humanity is caught up in a terrible delusion; it believes itself to be called upon to suppress or completely eradicate the weak and sees this as the right of the strongest.... It rages against the divine order, which associates the weak with the strong, so that the latter may test itself against it, but in a different way than it does.... For the strong should be the giver and provide for the weak and needy, he should stand by them in their need and powerlessness; the strong should not abuse his power and strength to oppress the weak, but protect them from oppression. But where there is unkindness, the divine order is no longer respected. Everyone only loves himself, he seeks to increase his own well-being and to enrich himself with the possessions of the weak, who cannot resist him enough. And this state of affairs is intolerable in the long run, for it always has a destructive effect, but never a constructive one, just as everything that is directed against the divine order means downfall. A constant struggle can certainly be observed in nature, which always results in an increase in the power of the strongest. This battle certainly leads to the perpetual remodelling of the external form of the being, but then it is God-willed because God Himself directs the will of the creature and every process is necessary for the higher development of the spiritual in every form. But man has overcome all these forms, and free will is given to him during the time of his walk on earth, which he is now to use for the higher development of the soul. He should fight, but only against himself and the evil instincts within him. He should strive for what is good and noble and try to overcome everything that is low, and this is constant fighting.... And he should help his fellow human being in this fight against himself. And so man must suppress every desire, he must learn to despise what the world presents to him as desirable, so that he does not seek to increase his possessions, but gladly and joyfully gives them away. If he does this, he will soon be able to cast off his earthly shackles and enter the kingdom of light unencumbered.... But what goals are people currently pursuing.... All his thoughts and endeavours are only aimed at increasing earthly possessions; he wants to possess, whereas he should renounce.... He clings tenaciously to earthly possessions and seeks to gain them even by unlawful means, as he exploits the weakness of his fellow human being and overcomes him by virtue of his strength. And this is the result of unkindness, which is now particularly evident in humanity and which is the cause of unspeakable suffering.... for love can only be reawakened through such....
