Fulfilment of the commandment of love demanded of all....

I have given you a commandment that you should love one another, and if you keep this commandment you fulfil My will. But I have not made your maturity of soul dependent on the fulfilment of earthly commandments, which, however, is clearly taught to people. But it is far better to disregard such humanly decreed commandments than to obey them without remembering My commandment of love, for I don't value the former even though they are scrupulously obeyed. It is of such great importance that people are enlightened as to what My will consists of and what is pleasing in My sight. For they have long since ceased to have a standard for this, and they do not recognize their spiritual shortcomings. Therefore it is advisable to comply with My commandment with all diligence and perseverance, to make My will their own and now work on themselves so that My love can permeate them and they will only accept My will.

(23.5.1947) The more the human being makes My will the guideline for his way of life the more he conforms to My nature, whereas the fulfilment of humanly issued commandments does not result in a change of his nature. But My will is to fulfil the commandment of neighbourly love, by which he also testifies to his love for Me at the same time. And this neighbourly love should always and constantly be practiced.... A person can shape himself into love, he can be so permeated by love for his neighbour that it will cause him to be constantly active, that it will therefore be the driving force of his thinking, speaking and acting. Then he will also be an example to his fellow human beings, he will not only exemplify to them the right life on earth which is pleasing to Me but the effect of his life of love will also be recognizable.... He will be filled by My spirit, that is, he will receive truthful knowledge from Me and be able to pass it on to his fellow human beings. But the effect of active neighbourly love is at the same time evidence of increasing maturity of soul and also proof of the significance of fulfilling My commandment of love. People do not take My commandment seriously enough, and yet it is the most important thing of their earthly existence, for their whole life in eternity depends on its fulfilment. So what is more understandable than that I gave this commandment to My disciples with the instruction to go into the world and teach all nations, to enlighten them about the effect of a life of love and the bad consequences of unkindness, so that they could reach maturity of soul while still on earth? I Myself preached love on earth, I Myself exemplified a life of love to them, and I Myself demonstrated to them the wisdom and miraculous power I attained through love.... And I admonished all who took it seriously to follow Me.... Yet people do not comply with it, yet with fanatical zeal they observe what people have added to My commandment of love but which has not the slightest connection with unselfish neighbourly love. And they consider My commandments unworkable.... and thereby prove to themselves that they don't believe in the truth of My word, in My wisdom and My love, otherwise they would have to accept and also obey every word from My mouth without doubt. What I demand of people must always and forever also be feasible and able to be accepted by all people. And only free will can prevent them from practicing the unselfish neighbourly love I demand. And therefore the human being should first inform himself of My will, he should make it his own, thus give up his own will and completely merge into My will, but then he will also be able to carry it out, and that in every situation of life, because My commandment is not only given to individual people but to everyone, to the whole of humanity, which lives far away from love and is therefore also in greatest ignorance, because knowledge is only the result of a life of love which I have made a commandment to those who want to ascend and stand in brightest light....

Cumprimento do mandamento de amor exigido de todos....

Dei-vos um mandamento de que vos ameis uns aos outros, e se guardardes este mandamento, cumprireis a Minha vontade. Mas não fiz depender a vossa maturidade de alma do cumprimento dos mandamentos terrenos, que, no entanto, é claramente ensinado às pessoas. Mas é muito melhor ignorar tais mandamentos decretados humanamente do que obedecê-los sem me lembrar do Meu mandamento de amor, pois não valorizo os primeiros, apesar de serem escrupulosamente obedecidos. É tão importante que as pessoas sejam esclarecidas sobre aquilo em que consiste a Minha vontade e o que é agradável à Minha vista. Pois há muito que deixaram de ter um padrão para tal, e não reconhecem as suas deficiências espirituais. Portanto, é aconselhável cumprir o Meu mandamento com toda a diligência e perseverança, fazer a Minha vontade própria e agora trabalhar sobre si mesmos para que o Meu amor possa permeá-los e eles só aceitarão a Minha vontade. (23.5.1947) Quanto mais o ser humano faz da Minha vontade a orientação do seu modo de vida, mais ele se conforma com a Minha natureza, enquanto o cumprimento de mandamentos humanamente emitidos não resulta numa mudança da sua natureza. Mas a Minha vontade é cumprir o mandamento do amor de vizinhança, pelo qual ele também testemunha o seu amor por Mim ao mesmo tempo. E este amor de vizinhança deve ser sempre e constantemente praticado.... Uma pessoa pode moldar-se em amor, pode ser tão permeado pelo amor ao próximo que o fará estar constantemente activo, que será, portanto, a força motriz do seu pensar, falar e agir. Então ele será também um exemplo para os seus semelhantes, ele não só exemplificará para eles a vida certa na terra que me agrada, mas o efeito da sua vida de amor será também reconhecível.... Será preenchido pelo Meu espírito, isto é, receberá de Mim um conhecimento verdadeiro e será capaz de o transmitir aos seus semelhantes. Mas o efeito do amor de vizinhança activa é, ao mesmo tempo, prova de maturidade crescente da alma e também prova do significado do cumprimento do Meu mandamento de amor. As pessoas não levam o Meu mandamento suficientemente a sério, e no entanto é a coisa mais importante da sua existência terrena, pois toda a sua vida na eternidade depende do seu cumprimento. Então o que é mais compreensível do que ter dado este mandamento aos meus discípulos com a instrução de ir ao mundo e ensinar todas as nações, para os iluminar sobre o efeito de uma vida de amor e as más consequências da indelicadeza, para que pudessem alcançar a maturidade da alma enquanto ainda na terra? Eu mesmo preguei o amor na terra, Eu mesmo exemplifiquei uma vida de amor para eles, e Eu mesmo lhes demonstrei a sabedoria e o poder milagroso que alcancei através do amor.... E admoestei todos os que o levaram a sério a seguir-Me.... No entanto, as pessoas não o cumprem, mas com zelo fanático observam o que as pessoas acrescentaram ao Meu mandamento de amor, mas que não tem a mínima ligação com o amor altruísta ao próximo. E consideram os Meus mandamentos impraticáveis.... e assim provam a si próprios que não acreditam na verdade da Minha Palavra, na Minha sabedoria e no Meu amor, caso contrário teriam de aceitar e também obedecer sem dúvida a cada Palavra da Minha boca. O que eu exijo das pessoas deve ser sempre e para sempre também viável e capaz de ser aceite por todas as pessoas. E só o livre arbítrio pode impedi-los de praticar o amor altruísta ao próximo que eu exijo. E por isso o ser humano deve primeiro informar-se da Minha vontade, deve fazê-la sua, renunciar assim à sua própria vontade e fundir-se completamente na Minha vontade, mas depois poderá também cumpri-la, e isso em todas as situações da vida, porque o Meu mandamento não é dado apenas às pessoas individualmente, mas a todos, a toda a humanidade, que vive longe do amor e está, por isso, também na maior ignorância, porque o conhecimento é apenas o resultado de uma vida de amor que eu fiz um mandamento para aqueles que querem ascender e permanecer na luz mais brilhante...._>Ámen
