Fulfilment of the commandment of love demanded of all....

I have given you a commandment that you should love one another, and if you keep this commandment you fulfil My will. But I have not made your maturity of soul dependent on the fulfilment of earthly commandments, which, however, is clearly taught to people. But it is far better to disregard such humanly decreed commandments than to obey them without remembering My commandment of love, for I don't value the former even though they are scrupulously obeyed. It is of such great importance that people are enlightened as to what My will consists of and what is pleasing in My sight. For they have long since ceased to have a standard for this, and they do not recognize their spiritual shortcomings. Therefore it is advisable to comply with My commandment with all diligence and perseverance, to make My will their own and now work on themselves so that My love can permeate them and they will only accept My will.

(23.5.1947) The more the human being makes My will the guideline for his way of life the more he conforms to My nature, whereas the fulfilment of humanly issued commandments does not result in a change of his nature. But My will is to fulfil the commandment of neighbourly love, by which he also testifies to his love for Me at the same time. And this neighbourly love should always and constantly be practiced.... A person can shape himself into love, he can be so permeated by love for his neighbour that it will cause him to be constantly active, that it will therefore be the driving force of his thinking, speaking and acting. Then he will also be an example to his fellow human beings, he will not only exemplify to them the right life on earth which is pleasing to Me but the effect of his life of love will also be recognizable.... He will be filled by My spirit, that is, he will receive truthful knowledge from Me and be able to pass it on to his fellow human beings. But the effect of active neighbourly love is at the same time evidence of increasing maturity of soul and also proof of the significance of fulfilling My commandment of love. People do not take My commandment seriously enough, and yet it is the most important thing of their earthly existence, for their whole life in eternity depends on its fulfilment. So what is more understandable than that I gave this commandment to My disciples with the instruction to go into the world and teach all nations, to enlighten them about the effect of a life of love and the bad consequences of unkindness, so that they could reach maturity of soul while still on earth? I Myself preached love on earth, I Myself exemplified a life of love to them, and I Myself demonstrated to them the wisdom and miraculous power I attained through love.... And I admonished all who took it seriously to follow Me.... Yet people do not comply with it, yet with fanatical zeal they observe what people have added to My commandment of love but which has not the slightest connection with unselfish neighbourly love. And they consider My commandments unworkable.... and thereby prove to themselves that they don't believe in the truth of My word, in My wisdom and My love, otherwise they would have to accept and also obey every word from My mouth without doubt. What I demand of people must always and forever also be feasible and able to be accepted by all people. And only free will can prevent them from practicing the unselfish neighbourly love I demand. And therefore the human being should first inform himself of My will, he should make it his own, thus give up his own will and completely merge into My will, but then he will also be able to carry it out, and that in every situation of life, because My commandment is not only given to individual people but to everyone, to the whole of humanity, which lives far away from love and is therefore also in greatest ignorance, because knowledge is only the result of a life of love which I have made a commandment to those who want to ascend and stand in brightest light....

Erfüllung des Liebegebotes von allen gefordert....

Ich habe euch ein Gebot gegeben, daß ihr einander lieben sollet, und so ihr dieses Gebot haltet, erfüllet ihr Meinen Willen. Nicht aber habe Ich eure Seelenreife abhängig gemacht von der Erfüllung irdisch erlassener Gebote, was jedoch eindeutig den Menschen gelehrt wird. Es ist nun aber um vieles besser, solche von Menschen erlassene Gebote unbeachtet zu lassen, als sie zu befolgen, ohne Meines Gebotes der Liebe zu gedenken, denn erstere werte Ich nicht, wenngleich sie peinlichst befolgt werden. Es ist dies von so großer Wichtigkeit, daß die Menschen darüber aufgeklärt werden, worin Mein Wille besteht und was wohlgefällig ist vor Meinen Augen. Denn dafür haben sie schon lange keinen Maßstab mehr, und ihr Manko in geistiger Beziehung kennen sie nicht an. Daher ist es ratsam, mit allem Eifer und Ausdauer diesem Meinem Gebote nachzukommen, sich Meinen Willen zu eigen machen und nun an sich zu arbeiten, daß Meine Liebe ihn durchdringen kann und er nun nur noch Meinen Willen gelten läßt. (23.5.1947) Je mehr der Mensch sich Meinen Willen zur Richtschnur seines Lebenswandels macht, desto mehr gleicht er sich Meinem Wesen an, während das Erfüllen menschlich erlassener Gebote keinen Wandel seines Wesens zur Folge hat. Mein Wille aber ist, das Gebot der Nächstenliebe zu erfüllen, wodurch er auch gleichzeitig seine Liebe zu Mir bezeugt. Und diese Nächstenliebe soll geübt werden stets und ständig.... Es kann ein Mensch sich selbst zur Liebe gestalten, er kann so durchdrungen sein von der Liebe zum Nächsten, daß diese ihn zum ständigen Wirken veranlaßt, daß sie also Triebkraft seines Denkens, Redens und Handelns ist. Dann wird er auch den Mitmenschen ein Vorbild sein, er wird ihnen nicht nur das rechte, Mir wohlgefällige Leben auf Erden vorleben, sondern auch die Auswirkung seines Liebelebens wird erkennbar sein.... Er wird von Meinem Geist erfüllt sein, d.h., er wird von Mir wahrheitsgemäßes Wissen empfangen und dieses an die Mitmenschen weiterleiten können. Die Auswirkung der tätigen Nächstenliebe aber ist gleichzeitig ein Beweis von zunehmender Seelenreife und auch ein Beweis für die Bedeutsamkeit der Erfüllung Meines Liebegebotes. Die Menschen nehmen Mein Gebot nicht ernst genug, und doch ist es das Wichtigste ihres Erdendaseins, denn von seiner Erfüllung ist das ganze Leben in der Ewigkeit abhängig. Was also ist verständlicher, als daß Ich dieses Gebot Meinen Jüngern gab mit dem Auftrag, in die Welt zu gehen und alle Völker zu belehren, sie über die Auswirkung eines Liebelebens und die schlimmen Folgen der Lieblosigkeit aufzuklären, auf daß sie zur Seelenreife gelangen konnten noch auf Erden? Ich Selbst habe auf Erden die Liebe gepredigt, Ich Selbst habe ihnen ein Liebeleben vorgelebt, und Ich Selbst habe ihnen bewiesen, zu welcher Weisheit und Wunderkraft Ich gelangte durch die Liebe.... Und Ich ermahnte alle, die es ernst nahmen, zur Nachfolge.... Doch die Menschen kehren sich nicht daran, doch mit fanatischem Eifer beachten sie, was Menschen Meinem Liebegebot beigefügt haben, was aber mit uneigennütziger Nächstenliebe nicht den geringsten Zusammenhang hat. Und sie halten Meine Gebote für nicht durchführbar.... und geben sich dadurch den Beweis, daß sie nicht glauben an die Wahrheit Meines Wortes, an Meine Weisheit und Meine Liebe, ansonsten sie jedes Wort aus Meinem Munde ungezweifelt annehmen und auch befolgen müßten. Was Ich von den Menschen verlange, das muß immer und ewig auch durchführbar sein und von allen Menschen angenommen werden können. Und nur der freie Wille kann sie hindern an der Ausübung der von Mir geforderten uneigennützigen Nächstenliebe. Und darum soll der Mensch sich zuerst über Meinen Willen in Kenntnis setzen, er soll ihn sich zu eigen machen, also den Eigenwillen aufgeben und gänzlich in Meinem Willen aufgehen, dann aber wird er ihn auch ausführen können, und zwar in jeder Lebenslage, weil Mein Gebot nicht nur für einzelne Menschen gegeben ist, sondern für alle, für die gesamte Menschheit, die fern der Liebe dahinlebt und daher auch in größter Unkenntnis ist, weil Kenntnis erst die Folge eines Liebelebens ist, das Ich denen zum Gebot gemacht, die zur Höhe schreiten und in hellstem Licht stehen wollen....
