Fight against various schools of thought authorized by God....

Whoever wants to confess God before the world must be convinced in his faith, otherwise he will not stand firm against the persecutions and threats of the world. Convinced faith, however, does not let him become discouraged because he does not doubt God's help when it is needed. Convinced faith, however, cannot be learnt or taught; it must be won through serious reflection and right prayer. And that is why God allows the battle against the various schools of thought, in order to cause people to reflect on the pros and cons of the various doctrines of faith. The human being has usually been pushed into a school of thought, initially against his own will, i.e. he belongs to the school of thought which was presented to him as right by his fellow human beings or whose teaching he has absorbed through his upbringing.... And so there are many such schools of thought, and each one claims to be right. As soon as a person seriously reflects he must recognize the flimsiness of some doctrines and reject them as unacceptable, and he does so as soon as he seriously strives for God and the truth. If a school of thought is endangered by human measures or prohibitions, then the human being takes a very special stand on it, and this is the purpose or the reason why God allows the world to proceed; for now the opportunity is given to exchange the most diverse opinions and to reflect on each one. Nothing happens in the world without purpose, and even where the human will strives for the opposite, God directs the effect of the wrong will in such a way that spiritual advantage can accrue to man if he does not resist it. The coming battle of faith will be fought so fiercely that the human being will have to make a decision because his earthly comfort and his life are at stake. And then everyone will ask himself what he will gain and what he will give up if he decides in favour of God or the world. And then only he who is (firmly) convinced in his faith will stand firm. But he will defend his opinion, he will stand up for God and confess Him loudly before all the world. For he has penetrated spiritual knowledge through serious reflection and thus nothing frightens him, no matter what people do against him, because he knows that he is protected by God Whom he has recognized. God Himself has introduced him to spiritual knowledge and strengthened his faith by withstanding every temptation. For as soon as a person seriously reflects and deepens himself spiritually, God Himself is close to him and He instructs him mentally, and the result is a firm and convinced faith which people can no longer rob him of. The battle against the various schools of thought causes people to take a stand more than ever, partly forced by worldly measures or of their own accord in order to reach the light. And serious reflection is always beneficial, for only now will the doctrines of faith gain life, only now will the human being himself awaken to life and be active; he will accept what seems acceptable to him and reject what he cannot affirm with conviction. And that is why the battles of faith are permitted by God, so that people decide before the decision is demanded of them. The battle of faith will be carried into all circles, high and low, rich and poor, old and young will be touched by it, and the question will arise in all of them: What can I stand for with conviction? And in order to be able to answer this question, he must mentally take a stand on what has been offered to him so far as tradition, what he has taken over again from people. And only then can he decide either to defend it with conviction or to speak out against it with equal conviction, depending on the person's will for truth and his striving for God....

Lupta împotriva diferitelor școli de gândire permise de Dumnezeu....

Oricine vrea să-L mărturisească pe Dumnezeu în fața lumii trebuie să aibă o credință convinsă, altfel nu va rezista cu tărie în fața persecuțiilor și amenințărilor lumii. Credința convinsă nu-l face însă să se descurajeze, pentru că nu se îndoiește de ajutorul lui Dumnezeu dacă este nevoie de el. Credința convinsă, însă, nu poate fi învățată sau transmisă în mod școlar, ea trebuie câștigată prin gândire serioasă și rugăciune corectă. Și de aceea, Dumnezeu permite ca lupta împotriva diferitelor școli de gândire să-i determine pe oameni să se gândească la avantajele și dezavantajele diferitelor doctrine de credință. De obicei, ființa umană a fost împinsă într-o școală de gândire, mai întâi împotriva voinței sale, adică aparține școlii de gândire care i-a fost prezentată de semenii săi ca fiind cea corectă sau a cărei învățătură a absorbit-o prin educație.... Și astfel, multe astfel de direcții se opun una alteia, iar fiecare dintre ele pretinde că are dreptate. De îndată ce ființa umană reflectează serios, ea trebuie să recunoască fragilitatea multor doctrine de credință și să le respingă ca inacceptabile, și face acest lucru de asemenea de îndată ce se străduiește în mod serios spre Dumnezeu și spre adevăr. Dacă o școală de gândire este pusă în pericol de măsuri sau interdicții umane, ființa umană va lua o poziție specială față de aceasta, iar acesta este scopul sau motivul pentru care Dumnezeu permite lumii să meargă înainte, deoarece acum se oferă posibilitatea de a schimba cele mai diverse opinii și de a reflecta asupra fiecăreia. Nimic nu se întâmplă în lume fără un scop și chiar și acolo unde voința umană se străduiește să obțină contrariul, Dumnezeu direcționează efectul voinței greșite astfel încât din aceasta să poată rezulta un avantaj spiritual pentru ființa umană dacă nu i se opune. Bătălia viitoare a credinței va fi atât de aprigă, încât ființa umană va trebui să ia o decizie, deoarece confortul său pământesc și viața sa sunt în joc. Și atunci fiecare se va întreba ce câștigă și la ce renunță dacă se decide pentru Dumnezeu sau pentru lume. Și atunci numai cel care are o credință (fermă) convinsă va rămâne ferm. Dar acesta își va apăra părerea, el va apăra pe Dumnezeu și Îl va mărturisi cu voce tare în fața întregii lumi. Pentru că el a pătruns în cunoașterea spirituală printr-o gândire serioasă și, de aceea, nimic nu-l va speria, indiferent de ceea ce fac oamenii împotriva lui, pentru că el știe că este protejat de Dumnezeu, pe Care L-a recunoscut. Dumnezeu Însuși l-a introdus în cunoașterea spirituală și i-a întărit credința, astfel încât să poată rezista oricărei ispite. Pentru că, de îndată ce ființa umană reflectă serios și se adâncește spiritual, Dumnezeu Însuși este aproape de ea și o instruiește mental, iar rezultatul este o credință fermă și convinsă, pe care oamenii nu i-o mai pot fura. Lupta împotriva diferitelor școli de gândire îi determină pe oameni să ia poziție mai mult ca niciodată, în parte forțați de măsurile lumești sau din proprie inițiativă, pentru a ajunge la lumină. Iar o reflecție serioasă este întotdeauna benefică, căci numai așa învățăturile de credință vor căpăta viață, numai așa omul însuși se va trezi la viață și va fi activ; el va accepta ceea ce i se pare acceptabil și va respinge ceea ce nu poate afirma cu convingere. Și de aceea, luptele pentru credință sunt îngăduite de Dumnezeu, pentru ca oamenii să decidă înainte ca decizia să le fie cerută. Lupta de credință va fi purtată în toate cercurile, cei de sus și cei de jos, cei săraci și cei bogați, cei bătrâni și cei tineri vor fi atinși de ea, și în toți se va pune întrebarea: Ce pot să susțin cu convingere? Și pentru a putea răspunde la această întrebare, el trebuie să ia poziție mental față de ceea ce i s-a oferit până acum ca tradiție, ceea ce a preluat din nou de la oameni. Și abia atunci poate decide fie să susțină cu convingere, fie să se pronunțe cu aceeași convingere împotriva ei, în funcție de voința de adevăr a ființei umane și de strădania sa spre Dumnezeu.....
