Traditional faith.... obedience.... free choice....

A clear judgement of what is truth and what is error will only be possible for a person who has the firm will to stand in the right knowledge. But this will is usually lacking in those whose faith has already been forced into a certain mould, who therefore have no faith of their own but only call a traditionally adopted one their own. A certain obedience has been nurtured in them, which God also credits to them as a virtue, as they believe that they are thereby also living in a way that is pleasing to Him. Nevertheless, man lacks something of importance.... the free decision, i.e. a realization that causes the free will to accept or reject what has traditionally been handed down to him. He has been taught obedience in such a way that he does not even consider taking a mental stand on the teachings he has been given. He feels neither entitled nor capable of scrutinizing and judging.... but accepts without contradiction everything that is conveyed to him by teachers, because he only assumes that they are telling the truth. He completely ignores human errors and inadequacies and recognizes the teachers unquestioningly as authorized and infallible. Nor does he himself use the gifts with which God has endowed him, reason and judgement, which are the prerogative of man over the animal and should therefore be used accordingly. Consequently, he cannot make any spiritual progress either, for this absolutely requires that he himself is intellectually active, i.e. that he uses his intellect and his free will in order to gain knowledge. But he is prevented from doing so, or he allows himself to be hindered by existing doctrines of faith which make the use of intellect or free will unnecessary, thus they are supposed to be accepted without thinking, but this can never result in a living faith. This is a deplorable state of affairs which is an obstacle to higher spiritual development, for such teachings are not suitable for kindling love for God, i.e. for bringing people closer to God. Every thinking person will experience it as spiritual freedom if he can deal with his own thoughts; if he is not forced to live in other people's thinking.... Likewise, he must also have the right to think through for himself what is offered to him as truth and to take a stand on it. For only then is his free will active and the human being makes a decision. Before that, however, it is not possible to speak of his own decision, and this is a shortcoming which greatly impairs the soul's higher development, which is why the bearers of truth and light-giving beings tirelessly fight against it....

Fé Tradicional.... Obediência.... Livre escolha....

Um julgamento claro do que é verdade e do que é erro só será possível para a pessoa que tem a vontade firme de estar no conhecimento certo. Mas esta vontade falta sobretudo àqueles cuja fé já foi forçada a uma determinada forma, que, portanto, não têm fé própria, mas apenas chamam de sua própria fé a um tradicionalmente adotado. Uma certa obediência foi educada neles, que Deus também lhes credita como uma virtude, porque eles acreditam que assim também vivem agradando-Lhe. No entanto, ao ser humano falta algo de importante.... a livre decisão, ou seja, uma realização que faz com que o livre arbítrio aceite ou rejeite o que lhe tem sido tradicionalmente transmitido. Ele foi ensinado a obediência de tal forma que nem sequer considera tomar uma posição mental sobre os ensinamentos que lhe foram dados. Ele não se sente intitulado nem capaz de examinar e julgar.... mas aceita sem contradição tudo o que lhe é transmitido pelos professores, porque ele só assume a verdade a partir deles. Ele exclui completamente os erros e inadequaçõeshumanas e reconhece inquestionavelmente os professores como justificados e infalíveis. Nem ele próprio usa os dons com que Deus o dotou, o raciocínio e o poder de julgamento, que são prerrogativa do ser humano sobre o animal e, portanto, também devem ser usados em conformidade. Consequentemente, ele também não pode registrar nenhum progresso espiritual, porque é absolutamente necessário que ele mesmo seja intelectualmente ativo, usando assim seu intelecto e livre arbítrio para alcançar o conhecimento. Mas ele é impedido de o fazer, ou se permite ser impedido pelos ensinamentos religiosos existentes que fazem uso do intelecto ou do livre arbítrio desnecessário, assim eles devem ser aceitos sem pensar, mas isso nunca pode resultar em uma fé viva. Este é um estado de coisas que impede o desenvolvimento espiritual superior, pois tais ensinamentos não são adequados para acender o amor por Deus, trazendo assim uma aproximação a Deus. Toda pessoa pensante sentirá que é liberdade espiritual se puder lidar com seus próprios pensamentos; se não for obrigada a viver no pensamento de outras pessoas..... Da mesma forma, ele também deve ter o direito de pensar através do que lhe é oferecido como verdade e de tomar uma posição sobre isso. Pois só então o seu livre arbítrio é ativo e o ser humano decide. Antes disso, porém, não se pode falar da própria decisão, e essa é uma falha que prejudica extremamente o desenvolvimento superior da alma, razão pela qual os portadores da verdade e dos seres que dão luz também lutam incansavelmente contra ela...._>Amém
