Higher development requires: dissolving matter.... assuming the will....

Progressive development requires striving upwards, it requires the soul to detach itself from matter, to give up its own will and to utilize divine strength.... Man must give up one thing in order to be able to receive that which is valuable for eternity. It is inevitable that the soul must first overcome the inclination towards matter before it can occupy itself with the spiritual, for spiritual experience is inconceivable as long as the human being is dominated by earthly possessions insofar as his thoughts and desires are only concerned with their increase and the earthly pleasures made possible by them. Spiritual experience requires a detachment from everything that delights the body.... Only those who have completely overcome the body can raise their spirit to the heights, and only then is higher development assured. However, in order to have the strength to overcome earthly desires, this strength must be requested, for without support he himself is too weak. That is why the human being must not forget to pray. Prayer for strength for the salvation of the soul is always welcome by the father in heaven. Entrusting the need to Him in heartfelt prayer, asking Him for help and then patiently waiting to see how God sends His help to the person on earth is the right preparation for the spiritual experience. And if the human being then listens to the inner voice, the divine will will be made known to him clearly and distinctly.... And now it is up to the person himself to what extent he submits to divine will. If he needs any spiritual help then he only needs to raise his thoughts to God and he will receive this help, often in the most marvellous way. Surrendering his will to God is unspeakably blissful, for such a person is relieved of all responsibility and all his thoughts and actions must now also correspond to divine will. The slightest offence will make the path to God more difficult to pass, for man thereby creates obstacles for himself which often block the narrow path upwards and it costs him great effort to clear them out of the way. God is constantly giving.... He distributes His grace to make it easy for His earthly child to reach Him. And if it prays, it will also very soon know what it should do in order to lift its state of soul.... and if the will is good, then it will obey everything God asks of it....

높은 성장을 위해 물질로부터 자유롭게 되는 일이 필요하다. 순복하는 의지.

성장을 이루기 위해 높은 곳을 향한 추구가 필요하다. 성장을 위해 혼이 물질로부터 자유롭게 되는 일이, 자신의 의지를 포기하는 일이, 하나님의 힘을 요청하는 일이 필요하다. 사람은 영원토록 귀중한 것을 받기 위해서는 한 가지를 희생해야만 한다. 혼이 영적인 존재를 이해할 수 있기 위해 먼저 물질을 향한 집착을 극복해야만 하는 일은 피할 수 없는 일이다. 왜냐하면 사람이 이 땅의 재물에 의해 지배를 받고 있는 동안에는, 그의 생각과 갈망이 단지 물질을 증가시키고, 이를 통해 이 땅의 기쁨을 증가시키려고 하는 동안에는, 영적인 체험을 하는 일은 생각할 수 없기 때문이다.

영적인 체험을 위해서는 몸을 기쁘게 하는 모든 것에서 벗어나는 일이 필요하다. 단지 육체를 완전히 이긴 사람의 영이 위를 향해 올라갈 수 있고, 그래야만 높은 성장이 보장이 된다. 그러나 이 땅의 욕망을 극복할 수 있는 힘을 갖기 위해서는 이 힘을 요구해야만 한다. 왜냐하면 지원을 받지 못하면, 그 자신이 너무 약하기 때문이다.

그러므로 사람은 기도를 잊지 말아야 한다. 하늘의 아버지는 혼의 구원을 위한 힘을 구하는 기도를 항상 환영한다. 진심 어린 기도로 그에게 자신의 필요를 아뢰고, 그에게 도움을 청하고, 이제 하나님이 이 땅의 사람들에게 어떤 방법으로 도움을 보내는 지, 인내하며 기다리는 일이 영적 체험을 하기 위한 올바른 준비이다. 이로써 사람이 내면의 음성을 들으면, 그에게 선명하고 분명하게 하나님의 뜻이 알려지게 된다.

그가 이제 하나님의 뜻에 자신을 어느 정도 종속시키는 지는 사람 자신에게 달려 있다. 어떤 영적인 도움이 필요한 경우, 그는 자신의 생각을 하나님께 올리기 만하면 되고, 자주 가장 놀라운 방법으로 그에게 도움이 임하게 될 것이다. 자신의 뜻을 하나님께 넘기는 일은 말할 수 없게 행복한 일이다. 왜냐하면 그런 사람은 모든 책임에서 해방이 되고, 그의 모든 생각과 행동은 이제 하나님의 뜻과 일치해야만 하기 때문이다.

가장 작은 범죄도 하나님을 향한 길을 통과하는 일을 어렵게 한다. 왜냐면 사람이 스스로 장애물을 만들어, 자주 위를 향한 좁은 길을 막고, 길에서 장애물을 제거하는 데, 큰 노력이 필요하기 때문이다. 하나님은 항상 베푼다. 그는 자신의 이 땅의 자녀가 자신에게 쉽게 나올 수 있도록, 자신의 은혜를 베푼다. 그리고 자녀가 기도하면, 그는 그의 혼의 상태를 개선하기 위해, 무엇을 해야 할지 곧 알게 될 것이고, 의지가 선하다면, 그는 하나님이 요구하는 모든 일에 순종한다._>아멘
