Higher development requires: dissolving matter.... assuming the will....

Progressive development requires striving upwards, it requires the soul to detach itself from matter, to give up its own will and to utilize divine strength.... Man must give up one thing in order to be able to receive that which is valuable for eternity. It is inevitable that the soul must first overcome the inclination towards matter before it can occupy itself with the spiritual, for spiritual experience is inconceivable as long as the human being is dominated by earthly possessions insofar as his thoughts and desires are only concerned with their increase and the earthly pleasures made possible by them. Spiritual experience requires a detachment from everything that delights the body.... Only those who have completely overcome the body can raise their spirit to the heights, and only then is higher development assured. However, in order to have the strength to overcome earthly desires, this strength must be requested, for without support he himself is too weak. That is why the human being must not forget to pray. Prayer for strength for the salvation of the soul is always welcome by the father in heaven. Entrusting the need to Him in heartfelt prayer, asking Him for help and then patiently waiting to see how God sends His help to the person on earth is the right preparation for the spiritual experience. And if the human being then listens to the inner voice, the divine will will be made known to him clearly and distinctly.... And now it is up to the person himself to what extent he submits to divine will. If he needs any spiritual help then he only needs to raise his thoughts to God and he will receive this help, often in the most marvellous way. Surrendering his will to God is unspeakably blissful, for such a person is relieved of all responsibility and all his thoughts and actions must now also correspond to divine will. The slightest offence will make the path to God more difficult to pass, for man thereby creates obstacles for himself which often block the narrow path upwards and it costs him great effort to clear them out of the way. God is constantly giving.... He distributes His grace to make it easy for His earthly child to reach Him. And if it prays, it will also very soon know what it should do in order to lift its state of soul.... and if the will is good, then it will obey everything God asks of it....

Le développement vers le Haut demande de se détacher de la matière et de soumettre sa volonté

Le développement progressif demande d’avoir une tendance vers le Haut, il demande de détacher l'âme de la matière, de renoncer à sa volonté et de se servir de la Force divine. L'homme doit renoncer à une chose, pour pouvoir recevoir l'autre qui est précieuse pour l'Éternité. Il est inévitable que l'âme doive d'abord vaincre l'attachement à la matière, avant qu’elle puisse s'occuper du spirituel, parce que l'expérience spirituelle est impensable tant que l'homme est encore dominé par les biens terrestres parce que ses pensées et sa tendance sont tournées seulement vers l'augmentation de celles-ci et vers les joies terrestres possibles. L'expérience spirituelle demande de se détacher de tout ce qui réjouit le corps. Seulement l’esprit de celui qui a dépassé définitivement le corps peut se lancer en haut, et seulement alors il est assuré d’un développement vers le Haut. Mais pour avoir la Force pour le dépassement des désirs terrestres, celle-ci doit être demandée, parce que sans soutien il sera trop faible. Donc l'homme ne doit pas oublier la prière. La prière pour la Force pour le salut de l'âme est toujours bienvenue au Père dans le Ciel. Lui confier dans une intime prière sa misère, Lui demander de l'aide et maintenant attendre patiemment de quelle manière Dieu enverra son Aide à l'homme terrestre, est le juste processus de l'expérience spirituelle. Et si ensuite l'homme écoute la voix intérieure, il lui sera annoncé clairement et limpidement la Volonté divine. Et maintenant il dépend de l'homme lui-même jusqu'où il se soumet à la Volonté divine. Si du point de vue spirituel il a besoin d'Aide, alors il doit seulement élever ses pensées vers Dieu, et il aura cette Aide, souvent de la manière la plus merveilleuse. Donner à Dieu sa volonté rend incroyablement heureux, parce qu'un tel homme est suspendu de toute responsabilité, et toutes ses pensées et ses actes doivent maintenant correspondre à la Volonté divine. La moindre action contraire rendra plus difficilement praticable la voie vers Dieu, parce que l'homme se crée avec cela des obstacles qui barrent souvent la voie étroite vers le haut et il lui en coûtera un grand effort pour les enlever. Dieu donne continuellement. Il prodigue Sa Grâce, pour rendre facile à Son fils terrestre d’arriver à Lui. Et s'il prie, très vite il saura ce qu'il doit faire pour suspendre l'état de son âme, et si sa volonté est bonne, alors il exécutera tout ce que Dieu exige de lui.
