Worldly power.... righteous leadership....

In the worldly power the spiritual embodies itself, which is destined to rule on earth in order to again be a guide for many people on earth. The ruling power can likewise fulfil tasks on earth in the will of God if it humbly submits to Him, i.e. asks His blessing for everything it has to carry out according to its power.... Then the ruler will be a just and wise leader for the people, for God's will will then be revealed through him. The spiritual power of such a ruler is therefore likewise prepared to serve, and it has been given an office for earthly time which prescribes the leadership of many people. But now the leader must fulfil this task in such a way that the people entrusted to him derive an advantage from it, both earthly and spiritually. The ruler must not abuse his office by harming people in body or soul. Those entrusted to him must not suffer any earthly or spiritual disadvantage as a result of his ruling power, they must be happy and content under his rule and their state of mind must improve, then the ruler will exercise his power in accordance with divine will. And he then serves on earth even though he rules. For he gives an infinite number of people the opportunity to mature spiritually and at the same time he also exercises neighbourly love towards those for whom he makes earthly life bearable. However, if he abuses his power in order to oppress his subjects, if he tries to take advantage of them himself, if he uses violence, i.e. unkindness, against them, if he does not respect their property or otherwise causes them any physical or psychological harm, then his rule is not service which is God-willed but he is influenced by the adversary who fights love and only allows unkindness and hatred to speak. Then the people who are subject to such a ruler are endangered in body and soul. For unkindness will lead to unkindness again. People will inflict on each other what is inflicted on them by this power. Whoever is in danger of losing property will also want to take his neighbour's property, every injustice that the ruler inflicts on his people will be imitated, and people will harass and antagonize each other because they are following the example of the one who is supposed to be their leader. As he leads them, so these people go, they are, as it were, in bondage to him as long as they do not yet fully recognize him. They do the same as he does before them and believe themselves to be in the right, even if it is an act of unkindness. And the spirit harboured in such a ruler is far from redeeming itself.... It is still too much under the power of the opponent and does what he wants. And then the people are misled and in great danger, for the souls are likewise dominated by evil power. And that is why people must be made to realize that if they have a leader who does not carry out God's will but is in the service of evil, so that they may learn to judge his deeds and refrain from imitating them. A ruler should always be a shining example for his subjects, he himself should live in such a way that no blame can fall on him, he should acknowledge God and always seek His will, he should be a strict and just but also a kind judge who influences his people in love and tries to influence them so that they follow him gladly and willingly.... Then he will have great power over his people and use this power for good.... Then he will lead his people as God wills.... He will be their counsellor in earthly as well as in spiritual need, he will only be concerned to administer the office given to him justly and wisely, he will lead the people on the right path, he will pray to God for strength for his earthly task, and God will help him to be a just and loving ruler for his people....

세상의 권세. 공의한 인도.

세상을 다스리도록 부름을 받은 영적인 존재가 다시 이 땅의 많은 사람들의 인도자가 되기 위해 이 땅으로 육신을 입는다. 세상을 다스리는 권세도 겸손하게 하나님에 복종하면, 이 땅의 일을 하나님의 뜻대로 완수할 수 있다. 다시 말해 권세자가 수행해야만 하는 자신의 권세를 수행하기 위해 행해야 할 모든 일에 축복을 구한다면, 통치자는 백성에게 의롭고 지혜로운 지도자가 될 것이다. 왜냐하면 하나님의 뜻이 그를 통해 알려지기 때문이다.

그러므로 그런 통치자의 영적 힘은 또한 봉사할 준비가 되어 있고, 그에게 이 땅의 시대를 위해 많은 사람을 지도하는 지시를 내리는 직책이 주어졌다. 그러나 이제 지도자는 자신에게 맡겨진 사람들이 세상적으로, 또한 영적으로 혜택을 받을 수 있게 하는 방식으로 이 과제를 완수해야 한다. 통치자는 사람들의 육체나 혼을 해치면서, 자신의 직분을 남용해서는 안 된다.

그에게 맡겨진 사람들이 그의 통치를 통해 세상적으로, 또한 영적으로 불이익을 당하게 해서는 안 된다. 사람들은 그의 통치 아래, 행복하고 만족해야만 하고, 그들의 혼의 상태가 개선이 되어야만 한다. 그러면 통치자는 하나님의 뜻에 따라 그의 힘을 행사하게 될 것이다. 그는 통치하지만, 그는 이 땅에서 섬기는 일을 한다. 왜냐면 그는 무한히 많은 사람들에게 혼이 성숙하게 될 수 있는 기회를 주고, 동시에 또한 그가 이 땅의 삶을 견딜 수 있게 해주는 사람에게 이웃사랑을 실천하기 때문이다.

그러나 그가 자신의 백성들을 억압하기 위해 자신의 권세를 오용하는 경우, 그가 백성들로부터 자신을 위해 유익을 얻으려고 시도하는 경우, 그는 권세로, 사랑이 없이, 백성들을 대하고, 그들의 재산을 존중하지 않거나 또는 다른 방식으로 신체적으로 또는 혼적으로 그들에게 피해를 입힌다. 그러면 그의 통치는 하나님이 원하는 섬기는 일이 아니고, 그는 사랑에 대항하여 싸우고, 불친절과 증오만을 보여주는 대적자의 영향을 받고 있는 것이다. 그러면 그런 통치자의 지배를 받는 사람들의 육체와 혼이 위험에 처하게 된다. 왜냐면 사랑 없음은 다시 사랑 없음을 초래할 것이기 때문이다.

사람들은 권세가 그들에게 하는 것과 같은 일을 서로에게 행하게 될 것이다. 재산을 잃을 위험에 처한 사람은 또한 이웃에게서 재산을 빼앗기를 원하게 될 것이다. 통치자가 자기 백성에게 가한 모든 불의를 모방하게 될 것이다. 사람들은 서로를 압제하고 적대하게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 그들이 그들의 지도자의 모범을 따르기 때문이다. 지도자가 백성들을 인도하는대로, 백성들은 따라 간다. 백성들이 아직 지도자를 정확하게 깨닫지 못하는 동안에는, 어느정도 그의 말을 듣는다.

백성들은 그가 그들 앞에서 하는 일을 하고, 그 일이 사랑이 없는 행위 일지라도 그들이 옳다고 믿는다. 그런 통치자에게 숨겨져 있는 영적인 존재는 자신의 구원하는 일에는 전혀 관심이 없고, 그는 아직 아주 심하게 대적자의 권세 아래 있고, 대적자가 원하는 일을 행한다. 백성들은 그릇된 인도를 받고 큰 위험에 처하게 된다. 왜냐하면 혼들도 또한 악한 세력의 지배를 받기 때문이다. 그러므로 사람들에게 하나님의 뜻을 행하지 않고 악을 섬기는 지도자가 있다면, 사람들이 그의 행위를 판단하는 법을 배우고, 모방하지 않도록, 사람들에게 깨달음을 줘야만 한다.

통치자는 자신의 백성들에게 항상 빛나는 모범이 되어야 한다. 그는 자신을 비난할 수 없는 방식으로 살아야 한다. 그는 하나님을 인정하고, 항상 그의 뜻을 구해야 한다. 그는 실제 엄격하고 공의롭지만, 사랑으로 자신의 백성들에게 역사하고, 백성들이 기꺼이 자신을 따르도록, 영향을 미치려고 노력하는, 긍휼을 가진 재판관이어야 한다. 그러면 그는 자신의 백성을 향한 큰 권세를 갖게 될 것이다. 그는 항상 단지 자신에게 주어진 직분을 올바르고, 지혜롭게 사용할 생각을 하게 될 것이다. 그러면 그는 자신의 백성들을 올바른 길로 인도하게 될 것이다. 그는 자신의 이 땅의 사명을 위한 힘을 구하는 기도를 하나님께 드릴 것이다. 하나님은 그가 그의 백성에게 공의하고, 사랑이 충만한 통치자가 되도록 그를 도울 것이다._>아멘
