Worldly power.... righteous leadership....

In the worldly power the spiritual embodies itself, which is destined to rule on earth in order to again be a guide for many people on earth. The ruling power can likewise fulfil tasks on earth in the will of God if it humbly submits to Him, i.e. asks His blessing for everything it has to carry out according to its power.... Then the ruler will be a just and wise leader for the people, for God's will will then be revealed through him. The spiritual power of such a ruler is therefore likewise prepared to serve, and it has been given an office for earthly time which prescribes the leadership of many people. But now the leader must fulfil this task in such a way that the people entrusted to him derive an advantage from it, both earthly and spiritually. The ruler must not abuse his office by harming people in body or soul. Those entrusted to him must not suffer any earthly or spiritual disadvantage as a result of his ruling power, they must be happy and content under his rule and their state of mind must improve, then the ruler will exercise his power in accordance with divine will. And he then serves on earth even though he rules. For he gives an infinite number of people the opportunity to mature spiritually and at the same time he also exercises neighbourly love towards those for whom he makes earthly life bearable. However, if he abuses his power in order to oppress his subjects, if he tries to take advantage of them himself, if he uses violence, i.e. unkindness, against them, if he does not respect their property or otherwise causes them any physical or psychological harm, then his rule is not service which is God-willed but he is influenced by the adversary who fights love and only allows unkindness and hatred to speak. Then the people who are subject to such a ruler are endangered in body and soul. For unkindness will lead to unkindness again. People will inflict on each other what is inflicted on them by this power. Whoever is in danger of losing property will also want to take his neighbour's property, every injustice that the ruler inflicts on his people will be imitated, and people will harass and antagonize each other because they are following the example of the one who is supposed to be their leader. As he leads them, so these people go, they are, as it were, in bondage to him as long as they do not yet fully recognize him. They do the same as he does before them and believe themselves to be in the right, even if it is an act of unkindness. And the spirit harboured in such a ruler is far from redeeming itself.... It is still too much under the power of the opponent and does what he wants. And then the people are misled and in great danger, for the souls are likewise dominated by evil power. And that is why people must be made to realize that if they have a leader who does not carry out God's will but is in the service of evil, so that they may learn to judge his deeds and refrain from imitating them. A ruler should always be a shining example for his subjects, he himself should live in such a way that no blame can fall on him, he should acknowledge God and always seek His will, he should be a strict and just but also a kind judge who influences his people in love and tries to influence them so that they follow him gladly and willingly.... Then he will have great power over his people and use this power for good.... Then he will lead his people as God wills.... He will be their counsellor in earthly as well as in spiritual need, he will only be concerned to administer the office given to him justly and wisely, he will lead the people on the right path, he will pray to God for strength for his earthly task, and God will help him to be a just and loving ruler for his people....

Il potere mondano - La giusta guida

Nel potere mondano s’incorpora lo spirituale che è destinato a governare sulla Terra, per essere di nuovo su molti uomini una guida sulla Terra. Il potere dominante può per così dire adempiere dei compiti sulla Terra nella Volontà di Dio, che si sottomette a Lui nell’umiltà, quindi chiede la Sua Benedizione per tutto ciò che deve eseguire in seguito al suo potere. Allora il governante sarà una giusta e saggia guida al popolo, perché allora attraverso lui si annuncia la Volontà di Dio. La Forza spirituale di un tale regnante è quindi pure pronta a servire, e le veniva dato un compito per il tempo terreno, che gli prescrive la guida di molti uomini. Ora però il conducente deve svolgere questo compito in un modo che agli uomini a lui affidati ne venga un vantaggio, sia terrenamente come anche spiritualmente. Il regnante non deve abusare del suo potere, mentre danneggia gli uomini nel corpo e nell’anima. Coloro che sono affidati al suo potere di dominare non devono subire nessuno svantaggio spirituale, sotto il suo dominio devono essere felici e contenti, e deve aumentare lo stato della loro anima, allora il regnante eserciterà il suo potere secondo la Volontà divina. E costui serve allora sulla Terra, anche se governa, perché dà ad infinitamente tanti uomini l’opportunità di maturare animicamente, e contemporaneamente esercita anche l’amore per il prossimo a coloro, ai quali rende sopportabile la vita terrena. Ma se abusa del suo potere per opprimere i suoi sudditi, se cerca di trarre lui stesso vantaggio da loro, se procede contro loro con violenza, quindi nel disamore, se non rispetta la loro proprietà oppure causa loro un qualche danno corporeo e animico, allora il suo governare non è un servire voluto da Dio, ma è influenzato dall’avversario, che combatte l’amore e fa parlare solo disamore ed odio. Allora il popolo, che è sottomesso ad un tale potente regnante, è in pericolo nel corpo e nell’anima, perché il disamore ha di nuovo per conseguenza disamore. Gli uomini si causeranno reciprocamente lo stesso che viene loro inflitto da questo potere. Chi è in pericolo di perdere il possesso, vorrà pure togliere al prossimo il suo possesso, ogni ingiustizia che il governante causa al suo popolo, verrà imitata, e gli uomini si opprimeranno ed attaccheranno reciprocamente, perché seguono l’esempio di colui che dev’essere per loro una guida. Come lui li guida, così procedono questi uomini, gli sono in certo qual modo succubi, finché non lo riconoscono ancora nel modo giusto. Loro fanno lo stesso che lui fa a loro, e credono di essere nel giusto, anche se è un atto del disamore. E lo spirituale che si cela in un tal governante, è molto lontano dal liberarsi. E’ ancora troppo sotto il potere dell’avversario e fa ciò che questo vuole. Ed allora il popolo è condotto nell’errore ed in grande pericolo, perché le anime sono pure dominate dalla forza cattiva. E perciò agli uomini dev’essere data la conoscenza che hanno una guida, che non esegue la Volontà di Dio, ma sta nel servizio del maligno, affinché imparino a giudicare le sue azioni e ne prendano distanza nell’imitarle. Un governante deve sempre essere un luminoso esempio per i suoi sudditi, lui stesso deve vivere da non trovare in lui nessun rimprovero, deve riconoscere Dio e cercare sempre la Sua Volontà, dev’essere bensì un giudice severo e giusto, ma anche buono, che agisce nell’amore sul suo popolo e cerca così di influenzarlo, affinché lo segua volentieri e volenteroso. Allora avrà un gran potere sul suo popolo ed userà questo potere nel senso buono. Allora guiderà il suo popolo come lo vuole Iddio. Gli sarà consigliere nella miseria terrena come spirituale, provvederà soltanto ad amministrare bene e saggio la funzione che gli era stata data, guiderà il popolo sulla retta via, pregherà Dio per la Forza per il suo compito terreno, e Dio lo assisterà ad essere un giusto ed amorevole governate del suo popolo.
