The activity of the beings of light requires the deepest knowledge....

Everything that has its origin in God is destined for eternal life. For God is life, light and truth, so that which has come forth from Him must likewise live if it stands in the light and in the truth. For to live means to be active, and only the knowing human being can be active in accordance with God's will. Activity in eternal life requires the deepest knowledge of everything that exists in God's work of creation. The being must have penetrated divine wisdom, it must master and regocnize everything; it must have the same knowledge in order to be able to create the same. Lack of knowledge is an obstacle to the fulfilment of the task assigned to it as a being of light. Countless beings emerged from a power that strived towards God.... all these beings have to be guided into the favourable form, they have to go countless ways in countless changes, always directed and guided by divine will, which is again carried out by beings of light serving God, and all these beings of light have to be in knowledge in order to be able to comply with divine will. The active will of the individual being only comes into its own in its embodiment as a human being. This will does not always strive towards that which earns it eternal life. Hence this will, too, has to be directed again by perfect beings who know about the course through all works of creation and can now influence the human being accordingly so that he uses his will in a way that guarantees eternal life. It is a battle for such beings standing in higher development, which however can only be waged successfully because the being of light is in knowledge and knows exactly the stage as man as well as the preliminary stages and is now accordingly his influence on the will of man. Everything that lives on earth is subject to the constant care of these beings of light, every work of creation is entrusted to the beings of light insofar as they constantly influence the spiritual in it by causing it to be active.... to serve and thus constantly drive the being to develop higher. The will of the being of light is, since it is perfect after all, also the will of God, and therefore every work of creation is under the influence of divine will. Everything in creation has to carry out the activity that corresponds to God's will because the driving force is nothing other than divine will. Only in existence as man can his free will be directed against divine will and therefore also destroy a process of higher development lasting thousands of years when he abuses free will and now no longer serves but wants to rule again in a sense (will?)opposite to God. Then the being does not prove itself to be able to enter the beyond as a likewise creating being, for it has not utilized the last stage to penetrate the knowledge of divine truths. Its state is lightless and can therefore never lead to an activity that requires light, i.e. knowledge, to the highest degree. The being on earth did not strive for perfection and consequently cannot work in accordance with divine will. The being also remains without light in the beyond until it desires light itself and can now make up for what it missed on earth in the beyond, but for which it now requires utmost strength, which now has to be imparted to it by beings standing in the light. This is likewise an activity of these beings of light which requires profound knowledge of divine wisdom, since the beings of light now appear as teachers and have to know everything in order to be able to proclaim everything. The tasks of the beings in the beyond are so varied and they are all based on profound knowledge of God and His reign and activity in supreme perfection.... Only the knowledge of this enables a being to carry out what is its ultimate destiny....

Werkzaamheid van de lichtwezens vereist de diepste kennis

Alles, wat in God zijn oorsprong heeft, is voor het eeuwige leven bestemd. Want God is leven, licht en waarheid, dus moet datgene, dat uit Hem voortgekomen is, eveneens leven, als het in het licht en in de waarheid staat. Want leven betekent werkzaam zijn en alleen de wetende mens kan overeenkomstig de wil van God werkzaam zijn. De werkzaamheid in het eeuwige leven vereist de diepste kennis van alles, wat in het scheppingswerk van God bestaat. Het wezen moet in de goddelijke wijsheid binnengedrongen zijn. Hij moet overal kennis van hebben en alles herkennen. Hij moet dezelfde kennis hebben om hetzelfde te kunnen scheppen. Gebrek aan kennis is een hindernis voor het vervullen van de opdracht, die hem als lichtwezen opgedragen is.

Talloze wezens kwamen voort uit een macht, die God tegenstreefde. Al deze wezens moeten in de voor hen bevorderlijke vorm geleid worden. Ze moeten door ontelbare veranderingen en over ontelbare wegen gaan. Steeds bestuurd en geleid door de goddelijke wil, die weer door God dienende lichtwezens uitgevoerd wordt. En al deze lichtwezens moeten kennis hebben om de goddelijke wil te kunnen vervullen.

De werkzame wil van het afzonderlijke wezen komt pas in zijn belichaming als mens tot zijn recht. Niet steeds streeft deze wil naar datgene, wat hem het eeuwige leven oplevert. Dus moet ook deze wil weer geleid worden door volmaakte wezens, die van de gang door alle scheppingswerken weten en nu overeenkomstig in kunnen werken op de mens, zodat hij zijn wil in een vorm gebruikt, die het eeuwige leven garandeert. Er is een strijd om zulke wezens, die zich opwaarts ontwikkelen, die echter alleen maar succesrijk gevoerd kan worden, omdat het lichtwezen kennis heeft van zowel het stadium als mens, alsook de voorstadia het beste kent en nu komt zijn inwerken op de wil van de mens hiermee overeen.

Alles wat op aarde leeft, is ondergeschikt aan een voortdurende begeleiding van deze lichtwezens. Elk scheppingswerk is in zoverre aan de lichtwezens toevertrouwd, als deze onafgebroken op het geestelijke in hem inwerken, doordat ze het tot werkzaamheid, tot dienen aanzet en ze het wezen er dus voortdurend toe aanzetten om zich opwaarts te ontwikkelen. De wil van het lichtwezen is, omdat deze toch volmaakt is, ook de wil van God en daarom is elk scheppingswerk ondergeschikt aan de inwerking van de goddelijke wil. Alles in de schepping moet die werkzaamheid verrichten, die overeenkomt met de wil van God, omdat de aandrijvende kracht niets anders dan de goddelijke wil is.

Alleen in het bestaan als mens kan diens vrije wil zich tegen de goddelijke wil richten en dus ook een duizenden jaren durend proces van opwaartse ontwikkeling tenietdoen, wanneer hij de vrije wil misbruikt en nu niet meer dient, maar weer wil heersen tegen Gods wil in. Dan voldoet het wezen niet om in het hiernamaals eveneens als scheppend wezen binnen te kunnen gaan, want hij heeft het laatste stadium niet benut om de kennis over goddelijke waarheden binnen te kunnen dringen.

Zijn toestand is zonder licht. Het kan dus nooit tot een activiteit leiden, die in de grootste mate licht, dat wil zeggen kennis, vereist. Het wezen op aarde heeft niet de volmaaktheid nagestreefd en kan nu derhalve ook niet zo werken, zoals het Gods wil is. Het wezen blijft nu ook in het hiernamaals zonder licht, tot het zelf naar licht verlangt en nu hetgeen op aarde verzuimd was in het hiernamaals inhalen kan, maar waartoe het nu de grootste kracht nodig heeft, die hem nu door de in het licht staande wezens gegeven moet worden.

Dit is eveneens een activiteit van deze lichtwezens, die de diepste kennis van de goddelijke waarheid vereist, omdat de lichtwezens nu onderwijzend optreden en alles moeten weten om alles bekend te kunnen maken. De taken van de wezens in het hiernamaals zijn zo veelzijdig en ze zijn allemaal gebaseerd op de diepe kennis over God en zijn heersen en werken in de hoogste volmaaktheid. Pas de kennis daarvan stelt een wezen in staat om dat uit te voeren, wat zijn hoogste bestemming is.
