Reunion in the beyond in the kingdom of light....

It is an incomparably happy moment when the soul passes away from earth and enters the kingdom of light, the spheres where impurity no longer exists, where the soul is embraced by a flow of joy-inducing light, where it is approached by exceedingly beautiful beings who show the soul an extent of love which almost overwhelms it. The emanations of light correspond to the soul's state of maturity, thus always to a degree that they will indeed cause inconceivable bliss but not consume the soul, which could indeed be caused by an excess of light if a soul is not yet receptive to it.... In infinite expanse it sees the most marvellous creations, for now its spiritual eye is able to behold spiritual creations which no longer consist of matter and yet arise just as real and are by no means self-deception.

And amid the beauty it sees it will find its loved ones who had passed over before in the degree of maturity suitable to the kingdom of light.... People cannot imagine the bliss of such reunion, yet in the spiritual kingdom the soul is able to take in profound impressions without fading away and can consciously experience the bliss it receives from God. In its heart it will sing His praises and give thanks, just as it will, if the kingdom of light has become its home, always come aglow with love for the Father, Who has prepared all these blessings for the soul....

Its co-operation with souls who have the same degree of maturity increases its strength and willingness to be active, and it applies this to far less mature souls to help them attain the same bliss. In merciful love it takes care of those it knew well on earth, who still dwell in lower spheres, who neglected their spiritual development on earth due to their unbelief and unkindness, and who are therefore still wretched in darkness or twilight.... It certainly can identify these souls and also approach them and offer its help, yet it will not be recognised in turn, and thus its help is frequently rejected....

Yet a light-soul's love and patience will constantly approach these souls and sooner or later gain influence. The bliss it receives through God's perpetual emission of love, the incomparable creations of the kingdom of light and its co-operation with beings to whom it is attached with joyful love provide it with the constant desire for redeeming activity. It finds its own happiness in giving what it receives itself; its longing for God finds constant fulfilment and it cannot but want to make others equally happy.

It is impossible to describe the splendours of the kingdom of light to people on earth, because only a fully matured soul can endure the abundance of light and therefore also understand the beatitude, which the as yet imperfect person does not appreciate. However, he can and should believe that there will be a reunion in the kingdom of the beyond, that death is not the end of the soul's actual life, and that these souls will recognise each other when they have attained a certain degree of maturity which, however, many souls still do not possess. And therefore it can take a long time for many a soul until it will experience the happiness of a reunion with its loved ones, yet the desire for this is frequently the reason to strive for ascent. The souls' strength of love is constantly at work to release the souls from the abyss and to help them achieve beatitude, to help them enter the kingdom where they are surrounded by radiating light, where they can behold God and every hardship has come to an end....

Het weerzien in het hiernamaals - Graad van voltooiing

Het is een onvergelijkelijk zalig moment wanneer de ziel van de aarde scheidt en het lichtrijk binnengaat in sferen waarin er niets slechts meer is, waar de ziel door een golf van zalig makend licht omvangen wordt. Waar uiterst schone wezens haar benaderen en haar een mate van liefde betonen die haar bijna overweldigt. De lichtuitstralingen zijn aan haar graad van rijpheid aangepast, dus steeds in die mate dat ze wel onvoorstelbaar gelukkig stemmen maar de ziel niet verteren, wat een overmaat aan licht die de ziel nog niet in staat is op te nemen, wel zou kunnen. In oneindige uitgestrektheid ziet zij de wonderbaarlijkste scheppingen, want haar geestelijk oog is nu geschikt geestelijke scheppingen te kunnen aanschouwen, die niet stoffelijk meer zijn maar zich toch net zo werkelijk aan haar vertonen en dus geen zelfbedrog zijn.

En te midden van deze schoonheid die haar oog aanschouwt, treft zij haar geliefden aan die haar vooraf zijn gegaan in die graad van rijpheid dat het lichtrijk hen kon opnemen. Voor mensen is de zaligheid van zo'n weerzien niet in te denken, maar in het geestelijke rijk is de ziel in staat diepere indrukken op te doen zonder te vergaan. En zij ervaart bewust de zaligheid die God haar bereidt en zingt Hem in haar hart lof en dank toe, net als ze, wanneer het lichtrijk haar vaderland is geworden, helemaal in liefde ontbrandt tot de Vader die haar al deze zaligheden heeft bereid.

Het samenwerken met zielen met dezelfde graad van rijpheid, verhoogt haar kracht en haar wil tot werkzaam zijn. En deze richt zij nu op de zielen die nog ver onder haar staan, om hen te helpen dezelfde zaligheid te bereiken. En zij bekommert zich nu in barmhartige liefde om degenen die haar na stonden op aarde en die nog in lagere sferen vertoeven. Die op aarde door ongeloof en liefdeloosheid in hun geestelijke ontwikkeling zijn achtergebleven - en daarom in het hiernamaals nog ongelukkig in duisternis of in schemerlicht vertoeven. Zij herkent weliswaar deze zielen en zij kan hen ook naderen en hun haar hulp aanbieden, maar zijzelf wordt door deze zielen niet herkend en daarom wordt haar hulp ook vaak afgewezen.

Maar de liefde en het geduld van een lichtziel doen onophoudelijk moeite voor deze zielen en bereiken ook eens dat zij invloed krijgt. Haar eigen zaligheid die zij vanuit de voortdurende liefdesuitstraling van God ontvangt, de onvergelijkelijke scheppingswerken in het lichtrijk en het samenwerken met wezens met wie zij in gelukkig makende liefde verbonden is, geven haar voortdurend nieuwe kracht om verlossend werkzaam te zijn. Zelf vindt zij haar geluk daarin, te geven wat zijzelf ontvangt. Steeds wordt haar verlangen naar God vervuld en zij kan niet anders dan eveneens gelukkig willen maken.

Het is onmogelijk de mensen op deze aarde de heerlijkheid van het lichtrijk te beschrijven, omdat alleen een voltooide ziel de volheid van licht kan verdragen en daardoor ook de zaligheid kan begrijpen waarvan de nog onvolkomen mens geen begrip heeft. Doch één ding moet en kan hij geloven: dat er een weerzien is in het rijk hierna. Dat de dood niet een einde maakt aan het eigenlijke leven van de ziel en dat deze zielen elkaar herkennen, als een bepaalde graad van rijpheid bereikt is die echter veel zielen nog niet bezitten. En daarom kan het voor veel zielen ook lang duren voordat zij het geluk van de vereniging met hun geliefden ervaren. Maar het verlangen ernaar is vaak een reden om opwaarts te streven. De liefdeskracht van de zielen is voortdurend bezig zielen uit de diepte te verlossen en hen te helpen zalig te worden, hen te helpen het rijk binnen te gaan waar stralend licht hen omringt, waar zij God kunnen aanschouwen en waar alle nood ten einde is.
