Charity....

In christian neighbourly love lies the foundation of peace and harmony, both on a large and small scale, i.e., nations and states will live in peace with each other, just as people will live together in harmony among themselves if their behaviour is based on the principle of neighbourly love, if they only want to do good to each other and strive to keep suffering and worry away from their fellow human beings. Then there will truly be peace on earth.... but how far away are people from this now....? They offend each other and are full of ruthlessness, even though they don't consciously want to harm people, yet there is no sign of love for each other, and that is why the great spiritual decline is so obvious, for without love the human being cannot strive spiritually either, without love there is no spiritual progress.... people do not reach their aim.... Only a few still accept the law of love which, however, has to be fulfilled or there can be no peace. And so every individual should seriously ask himself how he behaves towards this law.... he should ask himself whether he is doing everything in his power to bring joy, to alleviate suffering and to control the hardship which becomes obvious to him and requires his help. Man should think more of others than of himself, then he will also see what is lacking and be able to remedy it. Man should avoid everything that offends his fellow human beings, but do everything that makes them happy. Seriously ask yourselves whether you could justify yourselves if such a justification were demanded of you. And you will discover many omissions which are then a sin if the fellow human being suffers or suffers as a result, be it mentally or physically. Help where you can and protect your neighbour from suffering where you can.... Never let self-love prevail, never let your neighbour go hungry if you yourselves are doing well.... This is to be understood literally and also figuratively, for even a kind word, a good look, a helpful action can refresh and strengthen the fellow human being, therefore don't let it be lacking. Practice neighbourly love.... and your earthly life will be harmonious, there will be peace and harmony in and around you, and if all people lived according to this commandment it would truly be paradise on earth. But how does it look in the world? All bad qualities, greed, hatred, envy, discord, insincerity and self-love dominate people, they are not friends but enemies, they do not respect each other but seek to exalt themselves, they do not lay a soothing hand on wounds but inflict new ones, and thus evil becomes ever greater and plunges people into ruin. Love has grown cold among people, and that is the end.... For where love no longer exists all substance hardens, where the heart can no longer feel love all knowledge is lost, thus all life will also die, for only love alone is life.... Hence you humans can certainly still live physically but spiritually you are dead if you are devoid of all love. Again and again love will be preached to you, don't let these admonitions fall on your ears but know that they are the last calls from above; know that there is not much time left until the end but that you will be judged according to your love. Therefore take care that you do not need to fear the judgement.... Practice neighbourly love and thereby acquire eternal peace....

No amor de vizinhança cristão está o fundamento da paz e da harmonia, tanto em grande como em pequena escala, ou seja, nações e Estados viverão em paz uns com os outros, tal como as pessoas viverão em harmonia entre si se o seu comportamento se basear no princípio do amor de vizinhança, se apenas quiserem fazer o bem uns aos outros e se esforçarem por manter o sofrimento e a preocupação longe dos seus semelhantes. Então haverá verdadeiramente paz na terra...., mas a que distância estão as pessoas desta agora....? Ofendem uns aos outros e estão cheios de impiedade, embora não queiram prejudicar conscientemente as pessoas, mas não há sinais de amor uns pelos outros, e é por isso que o grande declínio espiritual é tão óbvio, pois sem amor o ser humano também não pode lutar espiritualmente, sem amor não há progresso espiritual.... as pessoas não atingem o seu objectivo.... Apenas alguns ainda aceitam a lei do amor que, no entanto, tem de ser cumprida ou não pode haver paz. E assim cada indivíduo deve perguntar-se seriamente como se comporta em relação a esta lei.... deve perguntar-se se está a fazer tudo ao seu alcance para trazer alegria, para aliviar o sofrimento e para controlar as dificuldades que se lhe tornam óbvias e que requerem a sua ajuda. O homem deve pensar mais nos outros do que em si mesmo, então também verá o que falta e será capaz de remediar a situação. O homem deve evitar tudo o que ofenda os seus semelhantes, mas fazer tudo o que os faça felizes. Perguntem-se seriamente se se poderiam justificar se tal justificação vos fosse exigida. E descobrirá muitas omissões que são então um pecado se o semelhante sofrer ou sofrer como resultado, seja mentalmente ou fisicamente. Ajude onde puder e proteja o seu vizinho do sofrimento onde puder.... Nunca deixe o amor-próprio prevalecer, nunca deixe o seu vizinho passar fome se você mesmo estiver bem.... Isto deve ser compreendido literalmente e também figurativamente, pois mesmo uma palavra amável, uma boa aparência, uma acção útil pode refrescar e fortalecer o semelhante, por isso não deixe que lhe falte. Pratique o amor de vizinhança.... e a vossa vida terrena será harmoniosa, haverá paz e harmonia dentro e à vossa volta, e se todas as pessoas vivessem de acordo com este mandamento, seria verdadeiramente o paraíso na terra. Mas qual é a sua aparência no mundo? Todas as más qualidades, ganância, ódio, inveja, discórdia, insinceridade e amor próprio dominam as pessoas, não são amigos mas inimigos, não se respeitam uns aos outros mas procuram exaltar-se a si próprios, não põem a mão nas feridas mas infligem novas, e assim o mal torna-se cada vez maior e mergulha as pessoas na ruína. O amor tornou-se frio entre as pessoas, e isso é o fim.... Pois onde o amor já não existe toda a substância endurece, onde o coração já não pode sentir o amor todo o conhecimento se perde, assim toda a vida também morrerá, pois só o amor é a vida.... Assim, vocês, humanos, podem certamente ainda viver fisicamente mas espiritualmente estão mortos se forem desprovidos de todo o amor. Uma e outra vez o amor ser-lhe-á pregado, não deixe que estas admoestações caiam nos seus ouvidos, mas saiba que são as últimas chamadas de cima; saiba que não lhe resta muito tempo até ao fim, mas que será julgado de acordo com o seu amor. Portanto, tenha cuidado para não temer o julgamento.... Praticar o amor de vizinhança e assim adquirir a paz eterna...._>Ámen
