Charity....

In christian neighbourly love lies the foundation of peace and harmony, both on a large and small scale, i.e., nations and states will live in peace with each other, just as people will live together in harmony among themselves if their behaviour is based on the principle of neighbourly love, if they only want to do good to each other and strive to keep suffering and worry away from their fellow human beings. Then there will truly be peace on earth.... but how far away are people from this now....? They offend each other and are full of ruthlessness, even though they don't consciously want to harm people, yet there is no sign of love for each other, and that is why the great spiritual decline is so obvious, for without love the human being cannot strive spiritually either, without love there is no spiritual progress.... people do not reach their aim.... Only a few still accept the law of love which, however, has to be fulfilled or there can be no peace. And so every individual should seriously ask himself how he behaves towards this law.... he should ask himself whether he is doing everything in his power to bring joy, to alleviate suffering and to control the hardship which becomes obvious to him and requires his help. Man should think more of others than of himself, then he will also see what is lacking and be able to remedy it. Man should avoid everything that offends his fellow human beings, but do everything that makes them happy. Seriously ask yourselves whether you could justify yourselves if such a justification were demanded of you. And you will discover many omissions which are then a sin if the fellow human being suffers or suffers as a result, be it mentally or physically. Help where you can and protect your neighbour from suffering where you can.... Never let self-love prevail, never let your neighbour go hungry if you yourselves are doing well.... This is to be understood literally and also figuratively, for even a kind word, a good look, a helpful action can refresh and strengthen the fellow human being, therefore don't let it be lacking. Practice neighbourly love.... and your earthly life will be harmonious, there will be peace and harmony in and around you, and if all people lived according to this commandment it would truly be paradise on earth. But how does it look in the world? All bad qualities, greed, hatred, envy, discord, insincerity and self-love dominate people, they are not friends but enemies, they do not respect each other but seek to exalt themselves, they do not lay a soothing hand on wounds but inflict new ones, and thus evil becomes ever greater and plunges people into ruin. Love has grown cold among people, and that is the end.... For where love no longer exists all substance hardens, where the heart can no longer feel love all knowledge is lost, thus all life will also die, for only love alone is life.... Hence you humans can certainly still live physically but spiritually you are dead if you are devoid of all love. Again and again love will be preached to you, don't let these admonitions fall on your ears but know that they are the last calls from above; know that there is not much time left until the end but that you will be judged according to your love. Therefore take care that you do not need to fear the judgement.... Practice neighbourly love and thereby acquire eternal peace....

L’amore per il prossimo

Nell’amore cristiano per il prossimo è il fondamento della pace e dell’armonia, sia nel grande come anche nel piccolo, cioè dei popoli e degli stati vivranno insieme in pace, come anche gli uomini vivranno insieme nell’armonia, se il loro comportamento procede dal principio dell’amore per il prossimo, se vogliono dimostrarsi reciprocamente soltanto il bene e si sforzano, di tenere lontano dal prossimo sofferenza e preoccupazione. Perciò vi sarà davvero pace sulla Terra, ma quanto distanti si trovano gli uomini. Si offendono l’un l’altro e sono pieni di mancanza di riguardo, benché non vogliano causare coscientemente del danno all’uomo, ma non si sente nessun amore reciproco, e per questo è anche così evidente la grande decadenza spirituale, perché senza amore l’uomo non può tendere verso lo spirituale, senza amore non esiste nessun progresso spirituale, gli uomini non arrivano alla meta. Pochi soltanto lasciano ancora valere la legge dell’amore, che però deve essere osservata, altrimenti non può esserci pace. E così ogni singolo deve domandarsi seriamente, come si comporta verso questa legge, si deve domandare, se fa tutto ciò che è nelle sue forze, per dare gioia, per lenire la sofferenza e guidare la miseria, che gli diventa evidente e che richiede il suo aiuto. L’uomo deve pensare di più agli altri che a sé stesso, allora vedrà anche che cosa manca per poter aiutare. L’uomo deve evitare tutto ciò che offende il suo prossimo, invece di fare di tutto, che possa dargli gioia. Domandatevi seriamente, se potete giustificarvi, se venisse pretesa da voi una tale giustificazione. E scoprirete molte manchevolezze, che poi sono un peccato, se il prossimo ne soffre o langue, sia nell’anima che nel corpo. Aiutate dove potete aiutare e preservate il prossimo da sofferenza, dove vi sia possibile. Non lasciate mai predominare l’amore dell’io, non lasciate mai il prossimo nella fame, se voi stessi state bene. Questo è da intendere verbalmente ed anche figurativamente, perché anche una parola gentile, uno sguardo buono, un’azione d’aiuto possono saziare e fortificare il prossimo, perciò non fateli mancare. Esercitatevi nell’amore per il prossimo, ed la vostra vita terrena scorrerà armoniosamente, ci sarà pace ed armonia in e intorno a voi, e se tutti gli uomini vivessero secondo questo Comandamento, ci sarebbe davvero il Paradiso sulla Terra. Ma come stanno le cose nel mondo? Tutte le cattive caratteristiche, avarizia, odio, invidia, discordia, disonesta ed amor proprio dominano gli uomini, e non sono reciprocamente amici, ma nemici, non si rispettano, ma cercano di elevare sé stessi, non mettono nessuna mano per lenire le ferite, ma ne fanno delle nuove, e così il male diventa sempre più grande e precipita gli uomini nella rovina. L’amore si è raffreddato fra gli uomini, e questa è la fine. Perché dove non vi è più l’amore, ogni sostanza s’indurisce, dove il cuore non può più sentire l’amore, là va perduta anche ogni conoscenza, quindi ogni vita morirà, perché l’amore unicamente è Vita. Voi uomini potete bensì vivere ancora corporalmente, ma spiritualmente siete morti, se siete privi d’ogni amore. Vi viene sempre di nuovo predicato l’amore, non lasciate risuonare a vuoto quest’ammonimento dal vostro orecchio, ma sappiate, che sono le ultime chiamate dall’Alto; sappiate, che non c’è più molto tempo fino alla fine, ma voi verrete giudicati secondo il vostro amore. Perciò provvedete, che non abbiate a temere il Giudizio. Esercitatevi nell’amore per il prossimo e conquistatevi con ciò l’eterna pace.
