Human timing of the end.... disciples of Jesus also unknowing.... shortening the days....

The human determination of the time of the end is also inaccurate, as soon as it is calculated intellectually or given by people of unawakened spirit. However, if they announce the end in the near future, they come closer to the truth. But they can also still postpone the time of the end for a long time, and this would be a deception which has detrimental consequences for people's souls. For anyone who does not expect the end shortly will also never seriously tackle the work of the soul, and this is the purpose of such announcements, that people strive to change and can only do so if they constantly work on themselves and keep the near end in mind. This is why God constantly points to the end but always leaves people in uncertainty about the time of the end. And even His servants, who are mentally in contact with Him, are not informed of the exact time, yet the firmer they stand in faith, the more they live in love, the more they will also know that they themselves are in the time of the end, for they pay attention to the appearances which God Himself announced to earthly people through His son Jesus Christ as a sign of the end. Even the man Jesus did not know the day and hour of the end, and His announcements were also to be applied in all times, so that His disciples also reckoned with the approaching end and the imminent return of Christ, which was connected with the end. His disciples were also of awakened spirit and could not determine the day and hour. And so no certain information can be given from a human point of view until the end, only the signs of the time can be taken into consideration and from them the near end can be concluded, which must one day irrevocably come because the divine word must be fulfilled. But serious strivers will also seriously consider the thoughts of the end of the world, the day of judgment and the fulfilment of all prophecies which point to it. And their eyes will also be opened so that they will recognize the signs of the end, and their thinking will be right.... They will know that they themselves live in the time, that they have to familiarize themselves with the thought in order to belong to those who have to live through a time of unspeakable hardship and distress because these precede the end. But Jesus has also given them a comforting assurance that He will shorten the days for the sake of the elect, so that they will become blessed. And therefore, if a person believes that the end time has come and that the last judgment is to be expected every day, he need not be anxious.... he will have the strength to endure everything as long as he strives towards God and belongs to His own.... But only then will he recognize the signs of the end time, otherwise he will never expect a near end because he does not believe. But the believers know what hour has struck.... they know that the end is near, as God has proclaimed in word and scripture....

인간이 종말의 때를 추측하여 정하는 일. 예수의 제자들도 알지 못하는 종말의 시기. 날들을 단축하는 일.

인간이 이성적으로 계산하거나 또는 영이 깨어나지 못한 사람들이 제시하는 종말의 시기는 맞지 않다. 그들이 가까운 장래에 종말을 선포하면, 이는 진리에 더 가까워진다. 그러나 그들은 또한 종말의 때를 오래 시간 후로 미룰 수 있고, 이런 일은 오류에 빠지게 하는 일이고, 사람들의 혼에게 해로운 영향을 미친다. 왜냐면 종말이 곧 임할 것으로 기대하지 않는 사람은 절대로 진지하게 혼에 대한 작업을 하지 않을 것이기 때문이다. 사람들이 자신을 변화시키려고 노력하게 하는 일이 종말을 예고해주는 목적이고, 사람들이 단지 끊임없이 자신에 대한 작업을 하고, 가까운 종말을 고려한다면, 자신을 변화시키기 위해 노력할 수 있다.

그러므로 하나님은 끊임없이 종말에 대해 가르치고, 그러나 종말의 시간에 대해 사람들에게 항상 불확실하게 남겨 둔다. 심지어 생각을 통해 하나님과 연결되어 있는 자신의 종들도 정확한 시점에 대한 가르침을 받지 못한다. 그러나 종들이 믿음 안에 더 굳게 서있을 수록, 더 많이 사랑 안에서 살고, 또한 그들 자신이 종말의 때에 산다는 것을 알게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 그들은 하나님 자신이 자신의 아들 예수 그리스도를 통해 종말의 징조로 이 땅의 사람들에게 예고한 현상에 주의를 기울이기 때문이다.

인간 예수도 마지막 날과 시간을 알지 못했고, 그의 예언은 항상 어느 시대에나 적용할 수 있기 때문이다. 이로써 그의 제자들도 또한 가까운 종말과 연관된 임박한 그리스도의 재림을 생각했다. 그의 제자들도 또한 영이 깨어났지만, 날짜와 시간을 정할 수 없었다. 그러므로 인간편에서 종말의 때를 확실하게 말할 수 없고, 단지 시대의 징조를 고려할 수 있고, 이를 통해 하나님의 말씀이 성취되어야 하기 때문에 언젠가 피할 수 없게 임해야만 하는 종말이 가깝다는 결론을 내릴 수 있다.

그러나 진지하게 추구하는 사람들은 또한 세상의 종말에 대해, 심판의 날과 심판의 날을 말하는 모든 예언들의 성취를 진지하게 다룰 것이다. 그들의 눈이 열려, 그들은 또한 종말의 징조를 깨달을 수 있게 될 것이고, 그들의 생각은 올바르게 될 것이다. 그들은 말할 수 없는 수고와 고난의 때를 겪어야만 하는 사람들에게 속하게 될 것에 대해 익숙해져야만 하는 때에 살고 있다는 것을 알게 될 것이다. 왜냐면 종말 전에 수고와 고난이 있기 때문이다. 그러나 예수님은 또한 택한 사람들이 축복을 받도록 하기 위해 이 날을 줄이길 원한다는 큰 위로가 되는 보장을 했다.

그러므로 사람이 종말의 때가 오고 마지막 심판이 매일 기대할 수 있다고 믿는다면, 그는 두려워할 필요가 없다. 그가 하나님을 추구하고, 하나님께 속한 무리에 속하는 동안에는, 그는 모든 것을 견딜 수 있는 힘을 갖게 될 것이다. 그래야만 그는 또한 종말의 징조를 깨닫게 될 것이다. 그렇지 않으면 그는 임박한 종말을 절대로 고려하지 않을 것이다. 왜냐면 그가 믿지 않기 때문이다. 그러나 믿는 사람들은 어느 때가 되었는 지를 알고, 하나님이 말씀과 기록을 통해 말한대로 종말이 가까이에 있음을 안다.
