Human timing of the end.... disciples of Jesus also unknowing.... shortening the days....

The human determination of the time of the end is also inaccurate, as soon as it is calculated intellectually or given by people of unawakened spirit. However, if they announce the end in the near future, they come closer to the truth. But they can also still postpone the time of the end for a long time, and this would be a deception which has detrimental consequences for people's souls. For anyone who does not expect the end shortly will also never seriously tackle the work of the soul, and this is the purpose of such announcements, that people strive to change and can only do so if they constantly work on themselves and keep the near end in mind. This is why God constantly points to the end but always leaves people in uncertainty about the time of the end. And even His servants, who are mentally in contact with Him, are not informed of the exact time, yet the firmer they stand in faith, the more they live in love, the more they will also know that they themselves are in the time of the end, for they pay attention to the appearances which God Himself announced to earthly people through His son Jesus Christ as a sign of the end. Even the man Jesus did not know the day and hour of the end, and His announcements were also to be applied in all times, so that His disciples also reckoned with the approaching end and the imminent return of Christ, which was connected with the end. His disciples were also of awakened spirit and could not determine the day and hour. And so no certain information can be given from a human point of view until the end, only the signs of the time can be taken into consideration and from them the near end can be concluded, which must one day irrevocably come because the divine word must be fulfilled. But serious strivers will also seriously consider the thoughts of the end of the world, the day of judgment and the fulfilment of all prophecies which point to it. And their eyes will also be opened so that they will recognize the signs of the end, and their thinking will be right.... They will know that they themselves live in the time, that they have to familiarize themselves with the thought in order to belong to those who have to live through a time of unspeakable hardship and distress because these precede the end. But Jesus has also given them a comforting assurance that He will shorten the days for the sake of the elect, so that they will become blessed. And therefore, if a person believes that the end time has come and that the last judgment is to be expected every day, he need not be anxious.... he will have the strength to endure everything as long as he strives towards God and belongs to His own.... But only then will he recognize the signs of the end time, otherwise he will never expect a near end because he does not believe. But the believers know what hour has struck.... they know that the end is near, as God has proclaimed in word and scripture....

Menschliche Zeitbestimmung des Endes.... Auch Jünger Jesu unwissend.... Verkürzen der Tage....

Auch die menschliche Zeitbestimmung des Endes ist unzutreffend, sowie sie verstandesmäßig errechnet oder von Menschen unerweckten Geistes angegeben wird. So sie das Ende in Bälde ankündigen, kommen sie jedoch der Wahrheit näher. Sie können aber auch den Zeitpunkt des Endes noch weit hinausschieben, und es wäre dies eine Irreführung, die nachteilige Folgen hat für die Seelen der Menschen. Denn wer das Ende nicht in Kürze erwartet, der wird auch niemals die Seelenarbeit ernstlich in Angriff nehmen, und dies ist der Zweck solcher Ankündigungen, daß die Menschen sich zu wandeln bemühen und dies nur können, wenn sie ständig an sich arbeiten und sich das nahe Ende vor Augen halten. Darum weiset Gott unausgesetzt auf das Ende hin und läßt die Menschen aber stets im ungewissen über den Zeitpunkt des Endes. Und selbst Seine Diener, die gedanklich mit Ihm in Verbindung stehen, werden nicht von dem genauen Zeitpunkt unterwiesen, doch je fester sie im Glauben stehen, je mehr sie in der Liebe leben, werden sie auch wissen, daß sie selbst in der Endzeit stehen, denn sie beachten die Erscheinungen, die Gott Selbst durch Seinen Sohn Jesus Christus als Zeichen des Endes den Erdenmenschen ankündigte. Auch der Mensch Jesus wußte nicht den Tag und die Stunde des Endes, und Seine Ankündigungen waren auch in allen Zeiten anzuwenden, so daß auch Seine Jünger mit dem nahen Ende und der baldigen Wiederkunft Christi rechneten, die mit dem Ende verbunden war. Auch Seine Jünger waren erweckten Geistes und konnten nicht Tag und Stunde bestimmen. Und so wird auch bis zum Ende von menschlicher Seite keine sichere Angabe gemacht werden können, nur können die Zeichen der Zeit in Betracht gezogen und daraus auf das nahe Ende geschlossen werden, das einmal unwiderruflich kommen muß, weil sich das göttliche Wort erfüllen muß. Doch ernstlich Strebende werden sich auch ernstlich befassen mit den Gedanken des Endes der Welt, des Tages des Gerichtes und der Erfüllung aller Prophezeiungen, die darauf hinweisen. Und ihnen werden auch die Augen geöffnet, daß sie die Zeichen des Endes erkennen, und ihr Denken wird recht sein.... Sie werden wissen, daß sie selbst in der Zeit leben, daß sie sich mit dem Gedanken vertraut machen müssen, um zu denen zu gehören, die eine Zeit unsäglicher Mühsal und Nöte durchleben müssen, weil diese dem Ende vorangehen. Doch auch ihnen hat Jesus eine trostreiche Versicherung gegeben, daß Er die Tage verkürzen will um der Auserwählten willen, auf daß sie selig werden. Und so also der Mensch glaubt, daß die Endzeit gekommen und jeden Tag das letzte Gericht zu erwarten ist, braucht er sich nicht zu bangen.... er wird die Kraft haben, alles zu ertragen, solange er Gott zustrebt und er zu den Seinen gehört.... Doch auch nur dann wird er die Zeichen der Endzeit erkennen, ansonsten er mit einem nahen Ende niemals rechnen wird, weil er nicht glaubt. Die Gläubigen aber wissen, welche Stunde geschlagen hat.... sie wissen, daß das Ende nahe bevorsteht, wie es Gott verkündet hat in Wort und Schrift....
