Spiritual guides.... Earthly Path.... Signpost....

People who do not know the right path stray and move away from the right goal instead of approaching it. And that is why they need a good guide, a signpost who knows the right path and warns and urges attention wherever there is a danger of taking a wrong turn and missing the right path. But he who knows the way also knows the goal and will now eagerly help his fellow human beings to reach this goal.... But the goal of earthly life is the spiritual kingdom in all its glory.... And the path to this is arduous and narrow, it is not easily passable but short if it is covered without stopping, if the human being does not hesitate or constantly look back and looks for an easier way to pass.... Then the goal can be reached quickly, i.e., the human being can reach a degree of perfection while still on earth, that he carries the kingdom of God within himself, that the heaviness of earth no longer weighs him down, that he has found union with God before he leaves his earthly body. But then vast realms spread out before his spiritual eye which fill him with bliss, then all the events and troubles of the path are forgotten, for they do not outweigh the glories which are now bestowed upon him. And then the soul is grateful to the guidance which has looked after it on its earthly path.... But the right Guidance is God Himself, Who instructs people on earth through His Word and thus informs them of the right path which leads to Him. And He commissions willing servants on earth to take over the office of guidance, i.e., to bring His Word to people, He first instructs His servants in the right truth so that they will then act as mediators for their fellow human beings, so that they, too, will take note of the truth, of God's Word, which flows forth from His sanctified mouth and is conveyed by Him directly to earth through His messengers. And therefore, guides who know the right path will constantly appear along the way and guide the wayfarers correctly, informing them of the dangers they should be aware of, of the goal and of the strength from God which is available to everyone who walks the path with serious intention of reaching the goal, which is eternal bliss. And these guides are to be listened to, their advice and admonitions are to be heeded, for they are appointed by God, they are given to people so that they will not go astray, so that they cannot say that they have not found the right path but can enter and follow it at any time if they are seriously determined to reach the goal. These leaders proclaim to you the Word of God, which is the right path.... For the Word of God is truth, because God is the Eternal Truth Himself; it leads towards the goal.... eternal life.... and whoever chooses God Himself as his guide by accepting and following the divine Word can never miss the right path, he will reach his goal.... he will live for eternity....

영적 지도자. 이 땅의 길. 이정표.

올바른 길을 모르는 사람들은 올바른 목표에 접근하는 대신 잘못된 길로 빠지고, 올바른 목표에서 멀어진다. 그러므로 그들은 올바른 길을 알고, 올바른 길을 잃어버릴 위험이 있는 곳에서 경고해주고, 주의를 환기시켜주는 좋은 안내자와 이정표가 필요하다. 그러나 길을 잘 아는 사람은 또한 목표를 알고, 이제 모든 열심으로 이웃 사람들도 또한 목표를 달성하도록 돕는다.

그러나 이 땅의 삶의 목표는 모든 영광의 영의 나라이다. 이 나라로 가는 길은 힘들고 좁고, 이 길을 가는 일이 쉽지 않지만, 그러나 그가 멈추지 않고 간다면, 사람이 주저하지 않고, 계속하여 뒤를 돌아보지 않고, 더 쉽게 통과할 수 있는 길을 찾지 않는다면, 이 길은 짧은 길이고, 그러면 목표에 빠르게 도달할 수 있다. 다시 말해 사람이 아직 이 땅에서 자신 안에 하나님의 나라를 소유하고, 이 땅의 무거운 짐이 더 이상 그를 압박하지 않고, 그가 그의 이 땅의 육체로부터 자유롭게 되기 전에 하나님과의 연합을 이루는 온전함에 도달할 수 있다.

그러면 그의 영적인 눈 앞에 그를 축복으로 가득 차게 하는 넓은 영역이 펼쳐지고, 길을 가는 가운데 일어난 모든 일들과 수고를 잊는다. 왜냐면 그에게 부여된 영광이 이런 일들과 수고를 능가하기 때문이다. 그러면 혼은 이 땅의 길에서 자신을 돌본 인도에 감사한다. 그러나 올바른 인도자는 하나님 자신이다. 하나님은 자신의 말씀을 통해 이 땅의 사람들을 가르치고, 그들에게 자신에게 인도하는 올바른 길에 대한 깨달음을 준다.

하나님은 이 땅의 자원하는 종들에게 인도하는 직분을 부여한다. 다시 말해 하나님은 자신의 종들이 자신의 말씀을 사람들에게 전하게 하고, 이 전에 자신의 종들에게 올바른 진리를 가르친다. 이로써 자신의 종들이 이웃 사람에게 전하는 사람들이 되게 하고, 이웃사람도 또한 진리이고, 하나님의 거룩한 입에서 흘러나와, 하나님으로부터 직접 자신의 종들을 통해 이 땅으로 전해주는 하나님의 말씀을 깨닫게 한다. 그러므로 올바른 길을 아는 인도자가 끊임없이 길 가운데 나타나 순례자를 올바른 길로 안내하고, 그들이 알아야 할 위험과 목표와 목표인 영원한 축복에 도달하려는 진지한 의도를 가진 모든 사람에게 제공되는 하나님의 힘에 대한 깨달음을 준다.

이런 인도자의 말에 귀를 기울여야 하고, 그들의 조언과 훈계에 귀를 기울여야 한다. 왜냐면 그들은 하나님의 부름을 받았고, 그들을 사람들에게 보내, 사람들이 잘못된 길을 가지 않게 하고, 사람들이 올바른 길을 찾을 수 없다고 말할 수 없고, 그들이 목표를 달성하려는 진지한 의지를 가졌다면, 언제든지 갈 수 있고 추구할 수 있게 하기 때문이다. 이런 인도자들은 올바른 길인 하나님의 말씀을 너희에게 전하다. 왜냐면 하나님의 말씀은 진리이고, 하나님이 영원한 진리 자신이고, 목표인 영원한 생명으로 인도하기 때문이다. 하나님의 말씀을 받아들이고 따르는 일을 통해 하나님 자신을 자신의 인도자로 선택하는 사람은 절대로 올바른 길을 벗어날 수 없고, 그의 목표에 도달하고, 그는 영원히 살게 될 것이다.
