Intercourse with the spiritual world....

All contact with the spiritual world is beneficial for the soul as soon as it takes place in purest spiritual striving, thus the human being longs for truth and knowledge if he strives to gain advantage for his soul and does not think of earthly aims or desires. And therefore it is only beneficial for the human being if he seeks to gain an insight into the spiritual kingdom, for he will then be given information from the spiritual side according to his desire. His soul will always find nourishment, i.e., its hunger for spiritual knowledge will be satisfied, because this is the activity of the beings in the spiritual kingdom to distribute knowledge. But this contact with the spiritual world can only be established in firm faith in the latter. If this faith is not present then no answer will sound from the kingdom of the knowledgeable but God-opposing forces will try to exert their influence on people by confusing their thinking, thus they will consciously cover them with error in order to suppress their belief in a kingdom of light. Yet spiritual forces are always at work which want to take control of people's thinking, for the battle between light and darkness never ends and the human being's will itself determines the outcome to the advantage or disadvantage of his soul. If the human being wants the truth, if he wants enlightenment about spiritual life, then the forces of the kingdom of light are powerful and they displace the forces of darkness.... for if he seeks the truth he seeks God.... But if the human being pursues earthly aims, if he seeks to utilize his knowledge in an earthly way, he will be seized by the forces which want to increasingly alienate him from the spiritual kingdom. And thus the required knowledge is offered to him in a form that it does not satisfy him or does not let him recognize the error he is falling into. And thus the desire for truth is decisive, which is why the human being himself is always responsible for what is offered to him, because he himself calls upon the forces which want to communicate with him through his desire. Yet God's will will never prevent contact with the spiritual world, for every thought is an initiation of this contact, every thought is an establishment of contact with spiritual forces which are always ready to answer people's questions. But just as on earth people can have valuable or shallow conversations and thus enrich their knowledge accordingly, so also in the spiritual world the thought material is directed to earth which people desire.... valuable spiritual knowledge to seekers, those who desire truth, and spiritual material which lacks truth or is useless, which likewise reaches people in the form of thoughts who are only earthly minded and do not strive spiritually. For the human being's will itself determines the spiritual knowledge he receives. It can bring unimaginable blessings but it can also be just as harmful and detrimental for the souls. And this is why conscious contact with the spiritual world is only worth striving for when the desire for truth permeates the person; for the earthly-minded person, however, it can be a danger, and it is therefore more advisable to refrain from it in order to make it more difficult for the forces of darkness, which seek to completely darken his spirit, to exert their influence. For the soul's state of maturity is decisive as to which forces approach the human being and which spiritual knowledge they bestow upon him. But the human being also enters into unconscious contact with the spiritual world as soon as he is thoughtful and raises questions which are then answered mentally. But this unconscious contact is less dangerous because the human being believes himself to be the originator of his thoughts and therefore does not attach much value to them, whereas more credence is given to the manifestations from the spiritual kingdom, which always means danger for people to whom the dark forces have access. But the person who strives towards God and seriously desires the truth is protected from these forces by his desire.... He can listen, he can ask and desire answers, and he can always be certain that he will only be instructed by knowing forces.... that God Himself will supply him with the truth through them, because he seriously desires the truth and thus also God, Who is the truth Himself....

Frequentare con il mondo spirituale

Ogni frequentazione con il mondo spirituale è utile per l’anima, appena ha luogo nel tendere più puro, spirituale, quando l’uomo desidera la Verità ed il sapere, quando cerca di conquistare un vantaggio per la sua anima e non pensa a mete o bramosie terrene. E perciò è solo di promozione per l’uomo, quando cerca di dare uno sguardo nel Regno spirituale, perché allora gli viene dato il chiarimento da parte spirituale secondo il suo desiderio. La sua anima troverà sempre il nutrimento, cioè le viene calmata la sua fame per il sapere spirituale, perché questa attività degli esseri nel Regno spirituale è di distribuire il sapere. Ma la frequentazione con il mondo spirituale può essere stabilito solo nella ferma fede in questo. Se non c’è questa fede, allora non risuonerà nessuna risposta dal Regno dei sapienti, ma delle forze distolte da Dio cercano di far valere la loro influenza sugli uomini, mentre confondono il pensare di costoro, quindi li provvedono coscientemente con l’errore per respingere la fede in un Regno di Luce. Ma sono sempre all’opera delle Forze spirituali che si vogliono impossessare del pensare degli uomini, perché la lotta fra la Luce e la tenebra non cessa mai e la volontà dell’uomo stesso guida il risultato a vantaggio e a svantaggio della sua anima. Se l’uomo vuole la Verità, se vuole il chiarimento sulla Vita spirituale, allora sono potenti le Forze del Regno di Luce e respingono le forze della tenebra, perché se cerca la Verità, egli cerca Dio. Ma se l’uomo persegue delle mete terrene, se cerca di valorizzare il suo sapere terreno, allora viene preso d’assalto da forze che lo vogliono sempre più estraniare dal Regno spirituale. E quindi il sapere desiderato gli viene offerto in una forma che non lo soddisfa oppure non gli fa riconoscere l’errore al quale cade vittima. E così è determinante il desiderio per la Verità, perciò l’uomo stesso è anche sempre responsabile per ciò che gli viene offerto, perché lui stesso attraverso il suo desiderio richiama le forze che gli si vogliono comunicare. Ma Dio non impedirà mai la frequentazione con il mondo spirituale, perché ogni pensiero è un avviare questa frequentazione, ogni pensiero è uno stabilire il collegamento con Forze spirituali che sono sempre pronte a rispondere alle domande degli uomini. Ma come sulla Terra gli uomini conducono discorsi validi oppure insipidi e quindi possono arricchire il loro sapere rispettivamente, così anche dal mondo spirituale viene guidato il patrimonio mentale sulla Terra che gli uomini desiderano, un sapere spirituale prezioso ai ricercatori, oppure un patrimonio spirituale inutile che giunge pure in forma di pensieri agli uomini che sono predisposti in modo terreno e non tendono spiritualmente. Perché la volontà dell’uomo stesso determina il patrimonio spirituale che gli giunge. Questo può portare un’immensa Benedizione, ma come può anche avere un effetto dannoso e svantaggioso per le anime. E perciò la frequentazione con il mondo spirituale è desiderabile solamente, quando l’uomo è compenetrato dal desiderio per la Verità; per l’uomo di mentalità terrena però può essere un pericolo e perciò è consigliabile non cercarlo, per rendere difficile l’accesso alle forze della tenebra che cercano di oscurare totalmente il suo spirito. Perché è determinante il grado di maturità dell’anima quali Forze si avvicinano all’uomo e con quale patrimonio spirituale lo provvedono. Ma l’uomo entra anche inconsapevolmente in contatto con il mondo spirituale appena è riflessivo e solleva delle domande che ora gli vengono risposte mentalmente. Ma questo contatto inconsapevole non è pericoloso in quanto l’uomo crede di essere lui stesso l’autore dei suoi pensieri e quindi non attribuisce loro molto valore, mentre alle comunicazione dal Regno spirituale viene data più fede, che significa sempre un pericolo per gli uomini ai quali hanno accesso le forze dell’oscurità. L’uomo che tende verso Dio, che però desidera seriamente la Verità, è protetto da quelle forze attraverso il suo desiderio. Egli può ascoltare, può domandare e desiderare la risposta e potrà sempre essere certo che viene istruito solo da Forze sapienti, che Dio Stesso gli porta la Verità tramite costoro, perché desidera seriamente la Verità e con ciò anche Dio, il Quale E’ la Verità Stessa.
