Truth - calm and inner peace....

How erroneous people's thinking is can be seen from the fact that they lack the blissful tranquillity of the knower who constantly draws strength from the right knowledge which corresponds to truth. And as long as this tranquillity does not dominate a person's nature he does not yet live in truth, i.e. in the right knowledge of them, for he can certainly also have intellectually received the truth within himself but nevertheless need not live in knowledge if it has not yet become mental property, thus he has received it with heart and intellect. Pure truth must also bring people inner peace, for pure truth is a gift from God which He bestows upon the person who is worthy of such a gift. And divine gift will always make happy. Humanity, however, is in a state of disruption, restlessness, searching, trepidation and constant uncertainty; it is plagued by doubts and willingly rejects what it previously thought to be truth. But it would hold fast to the pure truth and defend it with tenacity and steadfastness. But it does not yet possess the pure truth.... otherwise the great suffering would not pass over the earth either.... For truth guarantees right thinking, and right thinking does not result in such chaos as the earth is in at present. Wherever truth is proclaimed there is a haven of peace, and anyone who accepts the truth can likewise enter this haven of peace. For even if the greatest restlessness prevails around him and the greatest discord rages, the bearers of truth will be little affected by it because the truth itself already protects them from falling into a restless state. Truth bearers are connected to God and the world can no longer take away the inner peace that radiates from God into their hearts. It can only outwardly oppress the body but no longer seriously endanger the soul, and this security of the soul also radiates to the whole person so that he stands safely and calmly in the midst of the storm of the world.... For truth has strength within itself once it touches the human being's heart and is accepted by the human being's will. This power must overcome all opposing forces because it is stronger than them. Only when the human being stands in truth, in recognition, does his aim stand tangibly before him, and then he strives unswervingly towards this aim and can no longer be shaken in his security and tranquillity. He is indeed still physically exposed to the hardships of life but even these no longer seem so immense that they make him timid as soon as he takes refuge in the eternal truth, in the word of God, the truth which has become form, for the strength of the divine word noticeably flows through him and restores his inner calm. But where there is error, there will also be a constant state of perplexity, the greater and more oppressive the deeper the human being stands in error.... But the world at present represents an immense amount of error and is alarmingly far from the truth. Truth, however, is light, error is darkness; and where there is darkness there will also be confusion, chaos, which is earthly and spiritually threatening, for divine order will no longer be observed because darkness no longer allows it to be recognized. Therefore, where there is error there will also be wrong actions, for erroneous teachings result in erroneous thinking and this in turn causes actions which contradict divine order. And the fact that the world's thinking is completely wrong is evident from its actions which represent a single work of destruction, which are directed against the divine will of creation, which cause utmost harm to fellow human beings and thus completely contradict the divine commandment of love.... Such deeds can only give birth to a wrong will, a wrong thinking, which again only emerged from the error which is spread in the world as truth. Where error is, there is also unkindness, for where love is taught and also practiced, there is truth, because God Himself, Who is the eternal truth, is also where love is. For truth and love are inseparable.... And therefore erroneous thinking can inevitably be concluded where unkindness spreads, and erroneous thinking is the result of erroneous teachings.... And this is why truth shall prevail against error, this is why God Himself sends bearers of truth amongst people to impart it to them so that they will find their way out of the chaotic state, so that they will become acquainted with the blissful inner peace which only truth can bring them, which has an effect both spiritually as well as earthly, for earthly conditions will also visibly improve once truth has taken hold amongst humanity and love has also found its way in with it. Then there will be light and peace and tranquillity, because with truth and love God Himself is close to people and light and strength constantly emanates from Him and the human soul finds peace in realization, in the right knowledge which makes it unspeakably happy....

Waarheid - Rust en innerlijke vrede

Hoe onjuist het denken van de mensen is, blijkt uit het hun ontbreken van de gelukkig makende rust van de wetende, die uit het ware weten dat overeenstemt met de waarheid, voortdurend kracht put. En zolang deze rust het wezen van een mens niet beheerst, staat hij nog niet vast in de waarheid, dat wil zeggen in het juiste inzicht ervan. Want hij kan de waarheid ook wel door middel van zijn verstand in zich hebben opgenomen, maar hoeft toch niet het inzicht te hebben als ze mentaal nog geen eigendom is geworden, hij ze dus met hart en verstand heeft opgenomen. De zuivere waarheid moet de mens ook de innerlijke vrede brengen, want de zuivere waarheid is een geschenk van God dat Hij die mens doet toekomen die zo’n geschenk waardig is. En een goddelijke gave zal steeds gelukkig maken.

Maar de mensheid bevindt zich in een toestand van ontwrichting, van rusteloosheid, van zoeken, van ongerust zijn en een voortdurende onzekerheid. Ze wordt geplaagd door twijfels en verwerpt bereidwillig wat ze tevoren voor waarheid hield. Maar aan de zuivere waarheid zou ze vasthouden en haar met intense volharding en standvastigheid verdedigen. Maar ze bezit de zuivere waarheid nog niet, daar er anders ook niet dat enorm grote leed over de aarde zou gaan. Want de waarheid staat borg voor juist denken en juist denken heeft niet zo’n chaos tot gevolg zoals de aarde die thans laat zien.

Waar de waarheid wordt verkondigd is een toevluchtsoord van vrede en wie de waarheid aanneemt kan eveneens deze schuilplaats van vrede betrekken. Want al heerst om hem heen ook de grootste opgejaagdheid en woedt de grootste onenigheid, de dragers van de waarheid worden er weinig door geraakt, omdat de waarheid zelf hen er al tegen beschermt in een rusteloze toestand te vervallen. Dragers van de waarheid zijn met God verbonden en de wereld kan hen niet meer de innerlijke vrede afnemen die van God uitstraalt in hun hart. Ze kan alleen nog uiterlijk het lichaam bezwaren, maar de ziel niet meer ernstig in gevaar brengen. En deze zekerheid van de ziel straalt ook op de hele mens uit, zodat hij zich midden in de storm van de wereld zeker en rustig staande houdt.

Want de waarheid heeft de kracht in zich, als ze eenmaal het hart van de mens beroert en door de wil van de mens wordt aangenomen. Deze kracht moet alle vijandige krachten overwinnen, omdat ze sterker is dan deze. Pas wanneer de mens in de waarheid, in het inzicht vaststaat, staat zijn doel tastbaar voor hem en dan streeft hij onwrikbaar dit doel na en laat zijn zekerheid en rust niet meer aan het wankelen brengen. Weliswaar is hij lichamelijk ook nog aan de lasten van het leven blootgesteld, maar ook deze schijnen hem niet meer zo machtig toe dat ze hem angstvallig laten worden, zodra hij tot de eeuwige waarheid, tot het woord van God, de tot vorm geworden waarheid, zijn toevlucht neemt. Want de kracht van het goddelijke woord doorstroomt hem merkbaar en geeft hem de innerlijke rust terug.

Maar waar dwaling is, daar zal ook een voortdurende toestand van radeloosheid zijn, des te groter en meer deprimerend, hoe dieper de mens in dwaling verkeert. Maar de wereld verdedigt thans een overmaat aan dwaling en de waarheid is bedenkelijk ver weg. Maar waarheid is licht, dwaling is duisternis. En waar duisternis is, zal ook wanorde zijn. Een chaos die aards en geestelijk onheilspellend is, want de goddelijke ordening wordt niet meer in acht genomen omdat de duisternis zoiets niet meer laat inzien. Waar de dwaling is, zal daarom ook een verkeerd handelen zijn. Want verkeerde leren hebben verkeerd denken tot gevolg en dit geeft weer aanleiding tot daden die indruisen tegen de goddelijke ordening. En dat de wereld zich in een algeheel verkeerd denken bevindt, is op te maken uit haar handelingen die een onvergelijkelijk werk van vernietiging produceren, die zich tegen de goddelijke wil om te scheppen keren, die de medemens de ergste schade berokkenen en dus geheel tegen het goddelijke gebod van de liefde indruisen. Zulke daden verrichten kan alleen een verkeerde wil, een verkeerd denken dat weer alleen is voortgekomen uit de dwaling, die als waarheid in de wereld wordt verspreid.

Waar dwaling is, is ook liefdeloosheid. Want waar de liefde wordt aangeleerd en beoefend, daar is waarheid, omdat God zelf Die de eeuwige Waarheid is, ook daar is waar de liefde is. Want waarheid en liefde zijn onafscheidelijk. En daarom kan onvermijdelijk op verkeerd denken worden geduid, waar de liefdeloosheid zich doet gelden. En verkeerd denken is het gevolg van verkeerde leren. En daarom moet de waarheid optreden tegen de dwaling, daarom zendt God zelf de dragers van de waarheid onder de mensen opdat hun deze wordt overgebracht, opdat ze uit de chaotische toestand een uitweg vinden, opdat ze de gelukkig makende innerlijke rust leren kennen die hun alleen maar wordt opgeleverd door de waarheid, die zowel geestelijk als ook aards een uitwerking heeft. Want ook de aardse toestanden worden zienderogen beter zodra de waarheid eenmaal ingang heeft gevonden bij de mensheid en met haar ook de liefde ingang heeft gevonden. Dan zal er licht zijn en rust en vrede, omdat met de waarheid en de liefde God zelf dicht bij de mensen is en er van Hem voortdurend licht en kracht uitgaat en de menselijke ziel de vrede zal vinden in het inzicht, in het juiste weten dat haar onuitsprekelijk gelukkig maakt.
