Reshaping the soul.... view of God....

People have to realize how little they consider the shaping of their souls and how little they are therefore able to accept spiritual currents and let them have an effect on them. And the consequence of this is that their earthly life does not bring them any spiritual progress and that life after death is corresponding, i.e. that the soul, as an imperfect being, can neither feel God's closeness nor His emanation of love and thus life in the beyond is joyless, which is tantamount to an agonizing state, because only God's closeness triggers the feeling of happiness, which is the epitome of eternal bliss.... This deprivation is agonizing because it is synonymous with powerlessness and a life of powerlessness is a life of inactivity and cannot really be called life. And there is no other means to come to the contemplation of God and therefore also to the supply of strength from God than that the soul must make up in the beyond for what it neglected to do on earth.... to mould itself into love and thus into all the virtues it neglected on earth. Only a perfect soul can attain the vision of God, and therefore all faults and weaknesses must first be discarded, the soul must change, it must mould itself such that it becomes like God, because the vision of God requires union with God. On earth this work of reshaping the soul is an easy one because the human being can do anything he wants due to the constant flow of life energy towards him; and people do not use this for the transformation of their souls but only for earthly activity which is useless for the life in the beyond if it does not consist of loving activity. Only the activity, which is at the same time a serving in love, contributes to the reshaping of the soul, and this serving love activity is mostly only then carried out when the fellow human being is in need. But people no longer pay attention to the small needs of their fellow human being, and this causes God to send a general need over humanity in order to help, awaken or strengthen the impulse in them. For only active neighbourly love shapes the human soul in such a way that its state in the beyond is a happy one, that it is able to receive God's radiance and can taste eternal bliss in the sight of God....

Umgestaltungswerk der Seele.... Anschauung Gottes....

Die Menschen müssen sich vergegenwärtigen, wie wenig sie die Gestaltung ihrer Seelen berücksichtigen und wie wenig sie daher fähig sind, geistige Strömungen entgegenzunehmen und sie auf sich wirken zu lassen. Und es ist die Folge davon, daß ihr Erdenlebenswandel ihnen keinen geistigen Fortschritt einträgt und das Leben nach dem Tode entsprechend ist, d.h., daß die Seele als unvollkommenes Wesen weder die Nähe Gottes noch Dessen Liebesausstrahlung spüren kann und somit das Leben im Jenseits freudlos ist, was gleichkommt einem qualvollen Zustand, weil nur die Nähe Gottes das Glücksempfinden auslöst, das Inbegriff der ewigen Glückseligkeit ist.... Es ist dieses Entbehrenmüssen qualvoll, weil es gleichbedeutend ist mit Kraftlosigkeit und ein Leben in Kraftlosigkeit ein Leben in Untätigkeit ist und eigentlich kein Leben genannt werden kann. Und es gibt kein anderes Mittel, zur Anschauung Gottes und also auch zur Kraftzufuhr aus Gott zu kommen, als daß die Seele im Jenseits nachholen muß, was sie auf Erden versäumte.... sich zu gestalten zur Liebe und somit zu allen Tugenden, die sie auf Erden unbeachtet ließ. Es kann nur eine vollkommene Seele zur Anschauung Gottes gelangen, und daher müssen alle Fehler und Schwächen zuvor abgelegt werden, es muß sich die Seele wandeln, sie muß sich so formen, daß sie Gott gleich wird, weil die Anschauung Gottes den Zusammenschluß mit Gott erfordert. Auf Erden ist dieses Umgestaltungswerk der Seele ein leichtes, weil der Mensch alles kann, was er will, vermöge der ständig ihm zugehenden Lebenskraft; und diese nützen die Menschen nicht für die Umformung ihrer Seelen, sondern nur zu irdischer Tätigkeit, die für das jenseitige Leben nutzlos ist, wenn sie nicht im Liebeswirken besteht. Nur die Tätigkeit, die gleichzeitig ein Dienen in Liebe ist, trägt zur Umgestaltung der Seele bei, und diese dienende Liebetätigkeit wird zumeist erst dann ausgeführt, wenn der Mitmensch sich in Not befindet. Die Menschen aber achten der kleinen Nöte des Mitmenschen nicht mehr, und das veranlaßt Gott, eine allgemeine Not über die Menschheit zu senden, um in ihr die Regung zu helfen, zu erwecken oder zu verstärken. Denn nur die tätige Nächstenliebe formt die menschliche Seele so, daß ihr jenseitiger Zustand ein glückvoller ist, daß sie fähig ist, die Ausstrahlung Gottes entgegenzunehmen, und in der Anschauung Gottes die ewige Glückseligkeit verkosten kann....
