Responsibility of the soul in earthly life....

The responsibility the human being bears towards his soul in his earthly life must be made known to him, and this happens through instruction in the divine teaching which is offered to the human being as the teaching of Christ and which shows him the clear path he has to take. The knowledge of this must be imparted to him, otherwise he could not be held responsible. He must know that the body is capable of doing everything but that it does much at the expense of the soul; however, only the soul needs to take responsibility for itself and therefore it must muster the strength to deny the body what is beneficial to it but detrimental to the soul. And the soul alone determines what the body does. For the body without the soul is dead, so it is the soul that gives it life, because willing, thinking and feeling emanate from the soul, i.e. it is, as it were, the epitome of the soul. If now the thinking, feeling and willing is only turned towards the body and only its desire is fulfilled, then the soul must live in want, and its meagerness will become apparent when it has to answer for its life on earth. For the body passes away and therefore does not need to bear the consequences of the wrong way of life, while the soul has to suffer according to its earthly life. And this must be presented to man on earth so that he does not act out of ignorance but is rather aware of his responsibility. And this knowledge is imparted to him by the Christian teaching, which prescribes to man exactly what he should and should not do, which clearly and distinctly expresses God's will to him and which presents to him everything that is man's task on earth. If the human being lives in accordance with this Christian teaching, he will turn his attention to the shaping of his soul and pay less attention to his body, and he will never again need to fear future responsibility. He has then, so to speak, fulfilled his earthly task, namely moulding his soul, which requires the body to be set aside. And as soon as the body is valued less, the soul takes the course of higher development, namely it pays more attention to the spirit within itself and is instructed by it in everything that is beneficial for the soul to know and which brings it an increased state of maturity. And then it no longer needs to fear responsibility, it lives earthly life in accordance with God's will because it respects His voice which speaks to it through the spirit in the human being. For as soon as the human being allows the teaching of Christ to have an effect on him, he will do everything that Jesus Christ demanded of humanity. He will work in love and serve God and his neighbour, he will not ignore what God puts to the heart of man through His word. He will make the divine teaching of love the guiding principle for his earthly life and try to mould himself into love, his will and his deeds will be in accordance and always turned towards the good, and he will never fear responsibility, for he lives his earthly life according to Jesus' example, he tries to follow Him and is intimately and faithfully united with God. He has overcome the body and its demands, and the soul has united with the spirit in him....

Responsabilidad del alma en la vida terrenal....

La responsabilidad del ser humano hacia su alma en su vida terrenal tiene que ser llevada a su atención, y esto sucede a través de la instrucción en la enseñanza divina que se ofrece al ser humano como enseñanza de Cristo y que le muestra el camino claro que tiene que tomar. El conocimiento de la enseñanza debe serle impartido, de lo contrario no se le podría hacer responsable. Debe saber que el cuerpo es capaz de todo, pero que hace mucho a expensas del alma; pero sólo el alma debe asumir la responsabilidad, y por lo tanto esta debe reunir la fuerza para negar al cuerpo lo que es ciertamente beneficioso para él pero desventajoso para el alma. Y sólo el alma es decisiva para lo que hace el cuerpo. Porque el cuerpo sin el alma está muerto, ya que el alma le da vida, porque el querer, el pensar y el sentir emanan del alma, por lo que el cuerpo es, por así decirlo, la personificación del alma. Si el pensamiento, el sentimiento y la voluntad sólo se dirigen hacia el cuerpo y sólo se satisface su deseo, entonces el alma vive en la carencia y su pobreza se hará evidente cuando tenga que responder por su vida terrenal. Porque el cuerpo pasará y, por lo tanto, no tendrá que soportar las consecuencias del modo de vida equivocado, mientras que el alma tendrá que sufrir según su vida terrenal. Y de esto tiene que recibir advertencia el ser humano en la tierra para que no actúe por ignorancia sino que sea consciente de su responsabilidad. Y este conocimiento le es impartido por la enseñanza cristiana que prescribe con precisión al ser humano lo que debe hacer y abstenerse de hacer, que le expresa clara y distintamente la voluntad de Dios y que le presenta todo lo que es la tarea del ser humano en la tierra. Si el ser humano vive de acuerdo con esta enseñanza cristiana, dirigirá su atención a la conformación de su alma, prestará menos atención al cuerpo, y nunca tendrá que temer una responsabilidad futura. Entonces habrá cumplido su tarea terrenal, por así decirlo, es decir, habrá dado forma a su alma, lo que requiere una subordinación del cuerpo. Y tan pronto como el cuerpo se valora menos, el alma toma el curso de un desarrollo más elevado, es decir, presta más atención al espíritu dentro de sí misma y es instruida por él en todo lo que es beneficioso que el alma conozca y que le hace ganar un mayor estado de madurez. Y entonces el alma ya no tiene que temer la responsabilidad, pues vive la vida terrenal de acuerdo con la voluntad de Dios porque presta atención a Su voz que le habla al ser humano a través del espíritu en él. Porque en cuanto el ser humano deje que la enseñanza de Cristo surta efecto en él, hará todo lo que Jesucristo ha exigido a la humanidad. Trabajará en el amor y servirá a Dios y al prójimo, no despreciará lo que Dios pone en el corazón del ser humano a través de su Palabra. Hará de la enseñanza divina del amor el principio rector para su forma de vida terrenal y tratará de formarse y desarrollarse en el amor. Su voluntad y su obra coincidirán y se orientarán siempre hacia el bien, y nunca jamás temerá la responsabilidad, pues vive su vida terrenal según el ejemplo de Jesús, busca seguirlo y está íntima y fielmente unido a Dios. Ha superado el cuerpo y sus exigencias, y el alma se ha unido con el espíritu dentro de sí mismo....
