Knowledge.... truth.... scholastic knowledge....

People can certainly receive scholastic knowledge but it will always be partial knowledge, it will relate to these or those areas but always completely separate from each other, furthermore, the knowledge will mostly relate to earthly things, and where it relates to spiritual things only assumptions will be taught which cannot be proven. And this school knowledge constitutes the whole of wisdom, for people do not dare to go beyond it, i.e. they cannot intellectually fathom what is hidden from worldly wisdom and they do not believe that knowledge can also be imparted to them spiritually. And so they make do with what is offered to them by human beings. Spiritual knowledge, however, is not piecemeal but encompasses all areas and enlightens people about the connection between all things.... However, such extensive knowledge can only be offered by beings who possess even the richest knowledge.... to whom it flows incessantly and who are therefore able to pass it on. And this stream, which pours out over the truth-desiring spiritual substance in the beyond and on earth, is the spirit of God, which unites itself with every spiritual substance which strives towards God. Thus, as soon as a person on earth opens himself to the influx of the divine spirit, profound knowledge can be imparted to him which far surpasses earthly knowledge but which is and has to be pure truth because the spirit from God can never err. And such a person's task is to spread this knowledge as divine truth so that untruth and error are suppressed and spiritual darkness is banished amongst people.... For knowledge is light, and light is life and bliss.... But if the creatures are to become blessed one day, they must inevitably be redeemed from the spiritual night, which is the task of the human being, who is called by God to be a bearer of light on earth....

깨달음. 진리. 학교 교육을 통한 지식.

사람들은 실제 학교에서 지식을 받을 수 있다. 그러나 이런 지식은 항상 이런 영역이나 저런 영역에 해당하는 부분적인 지식이 될 것이다. 그럴지라도 이런 지식은 항상 서로 완전히 분리되어 있고, 더 나아가 이런 지식은 대부분 세상에 관한 지식이다. 지식이 영적인 것들과 관련된 경우에는 단지 증명할 수 없는 가정으로 가르친다. 이런 학교에서 얻은 지식이 전체 지혜를 구성하다. 왜냐하면 사람들은 그 이상을 감히 넘어가지 않기 때문이다. 다시 말해 세상 지혜에 숨겨진 것을 이성으로 추론할 수 없고, 그들에게 지식이 영적으로 전달될 수 있다고 믿지 않기 때문이다. 그러므로 그들은 인간 편에서 자신들에게 제공되는 것으로 만족한다.

그러나 영적인 지식은 단편적인 것이 아니고, 모든 영역을 포함하고, 사람들에게 모든 것들의 연관관계를 설명한다. 이런 광범위한 지식은 단지 가장 풍부한 지식을 가진 존재들이 제공할 수 있다. 그런 존재들에게 이런 지식이 끊임없이 흐르고, 그러므로 그들이 전해줄 수 있다. 저 세상과 이 땅에서 진리를 갈망하는 영적인 존재에게 부어지는 이 흐름은 하나님을 추구하는 모든 영적인 존재와 연결을 이루는 하나님의 영이다.

이 땅의 사람이 하나님의 영의 흐름에 자신을 열면, 그에게 이 땅의 지식을 훨씬 뛰어 넘는, 그러나 순수한 진리이고, 순수한 진리여야만 하는, 가장 깊은 지식이 주어질 수 있다. 왜냐면 하나님의 영은 절대로 실수할 수 없기 때문이다. 그런 사람의 과제는 이런 지식을 하나님의 진리로 전파하고, 이로써 진리가 아닌 것과 오류를 물리치고, 사람들 사이에 영적인 어두움이 추방하는 일이다. 왜냐면 지식은 빛이고, 빛은 생명과 행복이기 때문이다. 그러나 피조물이 언젠가 구원을 받으려면, 필연적으로 영의 밤을 구원을 받아야만 한다. 이런 구원하는 일은 이 땅에서 빛의 전달자로 하나님의 부름을 받은 사람의 과제이다.
