Co-worker of the lord.... labour of love for the souls of our fellow human beings....

There is no more valuable service to God than to save the souls of fellow human beings from spiritual death, for then the human being is truly serving God because he is helping to return to Him what has emerged from God. God's love is constantly turned towards His living creations, and everything came into being for the sake of these creatures, and God is constantly active on behalf of these creatures, and His reign and activity only aims at one.... the return of the spiritual substance which once fell away from Him. If the human being now strives towards the same goal.... of winning back the souls of fellow human beings for God, then he thinks and acts in accordance with God's will, he consciously serves Him by subordinating himself to the divine will and, as it were, being active as His labourer in the work of love.... that he thus makes the same goal his life's task, to lead erring, i.e. God-turned-away souls to Him. Then he serves God in truth, he carries out His will and performs the greatest labour of love for his fellow human beings, for he saves them from eternal death, from the state of complete lifelessness and unimaginable torment.... Man cannot measure how important and valuable his spiritual co-operation is, how many souls he redeems from misery through his active help. And yet the thought must spur him on to eager co-operation, that he joins God's activity of love, that he carries out on a small scale, as it were, what is constantly taking place in the great work of creation through the beings of light which are in closest union with God.... The divine power current is passed on, His radiation of love, as soon as the human being, driven by love for his fellow human beings, wants to help them.... If he gives love to his fellow human being, then the power of God flows over to him and can become effective by awakening love again. And then the person comes closer to God, his soul longs to return to God.... Then the human being has succeeded in winning the soul of his fellow human being for God and kept it away from unthinkable suffering, he has accomplished a work of love in the full awareness of serving God with it and is therefore a faithful co-worker of the lord who knows no other goal than to work with God and for God in order to win souls for eternity....

Mitarbeiter des Herrn.... Liebeswerk an den Seelen der Mitmenschen....

Es gibt keinen wertvolleren Gottesdienst, als die Seelen der Mitmenschen vor dem geistigen Tode zu retten, denn dann dienet der Mensch wahrhaft Gott, weil er dazu beiträgt, das aus Gott Hervorgegangene Ihm wieder zuzuführen. Die Liebe Gottes ist unaufhörlich Seinen Geschöpfen zugewandt, und um dieser Geschöpfe willen ist alles entstanden, und für diese Geschöpfe ist Gott unentwegt tätig, und Sein Walten und Wirken bezweckt nur das eine.... die Rückkehr des einst von Ihm abgefallenen Geistigen. Strebt nun der Mensch das gleiche Ziel an.... die Rückgewinnung der Seelen der Mitmenschen für Gott, so denkt und handelt er im Willen Gottes, er dient Ihm bewußt, indem er sich dem göttlichen Willen unterstellt und gleichsam als Sein Arbeiter mit tätig ist an dem Liebeswerk.... daß er also das gleiche Ziel sich zur Lebensaufgabe macht, irrende, d.h. Gott abgewandte Seelen Ihm zuzuführen. Dann dienet er in Wahrheit Gott, er führt Dessen Willen aus und verrichtet das größte Liebeswerk am Mitmenschen, denn er errettet diese vom ewigen Tode, vom Zustand völliger Leblosigkeit und unvorstellbarer Qual.... Es kann der Mensch nicht ermessen, wie wichtig und wertvoll seine geistige Mitarbeit ist, wie viele Seelen er erlöst aus der Not durch seine tätige Mithilfe. Und doch muß ihn der Gedanke zu eifriger Mitarbeit anspornen, daß er sich dem Liebeswirken Gottes anschließt, daß er gleichsam im Kleinen das ausführt, was sich unausgesetzt vollzieht im großen Schöpfungswerk durch die Lichtwesen, die mit Gott im engsten Verband stehen.... Es wird der göttliche Kraftstrom weitergeleitet, Seine Liebesausstrahlung, sowie der Mensch, durch die Liebe zu den Mitmenschen getrieben, ihnen helfen will.... Gibt er dem Mitmenschen Liebe, dann strömt die Kraft Gottes auf diesen über und kann wirksam werden, indem sie wieder Liebe erweckt. Und dann kommt der Mensch Gott näher, es verlangt seine Seele zu Gott zurück.... Dann hat es der Mensch zuwege gebracht, die Seele des Mitmenschen für Gott zu gewinnen, und ihr undenkliches Leid ferngehalten, er hat ein Liebeswerk vollbracht im vollen Bewußtsein, Gott damit zu dienen, und ist also ein treuer Mitarbeiter des Herrn, der kein anderes Ziel kennt, als mit Gott und für Gott zu wirken, um Seelen zu gewinnen für die Ewigkeit....
