The power of evil does not extend to creations....

No spiritual forces can express themselves which are under the influence of the evil power as long as the spiritual is still in bound will, because the opposing power of God is powerless against this beingness. It can only test itself on the soul of man, therefore on the spiritual, which is in the stage of free will, and also does this in the most extensive way. Thus people will always be oppressed by the power opposing God, but they will never be able to influence creations which harbour the as yet undeveloped spiritual substance. These creations are solely subject to God's will, and everything that takes place in these creations can be attributed to His divine activity. It is therefore totally erroneous to attribute phenomena to satanic power which run counter to divine order, i.e. which come to light in the creations. Every change in God's creation is also caused by His will, for the power of God's adversary never extends beyond that which God has brought into being through His will in visible creations. And therefore the effect of that power can only be expressed in the human soul.... It can indeed, by influencing the human will, cause it to act destructively in creation, but then man will always be the executor, he will therefore, as it were, do something on behalf of the evil power which the latter cannot carry out itself, namely somehow act contrary to the divine laws of nature. If it is therefore assumed that the power hostile to God can gain faith in people by carrying out things which require divine power, then God would first have to give this power to His adversary, and this would not correspond to the nature of the eternal deity, Which, full of mercy and love, inclines towards all Its living creations and wants to help them in their spiritual adversity. For it would truly not be a help if people were misled in their faith and were even less able to recognize God. It would then be almost impossible for people to believe that God would hand His creatures over to the adversary, that He would not only abandon them to the adversary but push them towards the one from whose power He wants to liberate them. Yet God's love lasts forever.... He helps humanity and He will always stand by it in the battle against evil, but He will never put His living creations into such trouble that they suspect God in the activity of the one who is His greatest enemy and adversary. The God-opposing power will always be recognizable by people who think and act lawfully, and thus they will not experience the adversity of considering God's adversary to be God Himself either, unless they are so devoted to him due to their completely wrong way of life on earth which deprives them of all power of judgment.... But these are no longer His children but children of satan because they are subject to his will and completely oppose God....

악의 권세가 창조물에게 까지 미치지 않는다.

영적인 존재가 아직 묶여 있는 동안에는, 악한 권세의 영향력 아래 있는 어떤 영적인 세력도 자신을 표현할 수 없다. 왜냐면 본질적인 존재에게 하나님께 대항하는 세력이 무력하기 때문이다. 이런 세력은 단지 인간의 혼에게, 다시 말해 자유의지의 상태에 있는 영적인 존재들을 시험할 수 있고, 가장 광범위하게 시험하고 있다. 그러므로 사람들은 항상 하나님을 대적하는 힘에 공격을 당하게 될 것이지만, 그러나 아직 자신 안에 성장하지 못한 영적인 존재를 포함하고 있는 창조물은 절대로 영향을 받을 수 없다. 이런 창조물은 유일하게 하나님의 뜻에 종속되어 있고, 창조물에서 일어나는 모든 일은 하나님의 의지에 의한 것으로 여겨야만 한다.

그러므로 창조물에게, 하나님의 질서에 어긋나게 일어나는 일을 사탄의 권세에 의한 일로 여기는 일은 완전히 잘못된 일이다. 하나님의 창조물의 모든 변화는 하나님의 의지에 의해 야기된 변화이다. 왜냐하면 하나님의 대적자의 권세가 하나님이 자신의 의지를 통해 생성되게 한, 가시적인 창조물에게까지 절대로 미치지 않기 때문이다. 그러므로 하나님의 대적자의 권세가 일어키는 역사는 단지 사람은 혼에게 나타날 수 있다. 이 권세는 인간의 의지에 영향을 미침으로, 인간의 의지가 창조물을 파괴하는 행동하도록 유도할 수 있다. 그러면 사람이 항상 집행자가 될 것이다. 다시 말해 사람이 악한 세력 자신이 할 수 없는 어떤 자연의 하나님의 법칙을 어기는 일을, 악한 세력을 대신하여, 행하게 될 것이다.

그러므로 하나님을 대적하는 권세가 하나님의 힘이 필요한 일을 하면서, 사람들의 믿음을 얻을 수 있다고 가정한다면, 하나님은 먼저 대적자에게 이 힘을 줘야만 하고, 이런 일은 모든 긍휼과 사랑으로 자신의 모든 피조물에게 향하고, 그들의 영적인 위험 가운데 도움을 주기를 원하는, 영원한 신성의 성품과 일치하지 않는 일이다. 사람들의 믿음이 잘못 인도되어, 하나님을 더 잘 알아볼 수 없게 된다면, 이런 일은 진실로 도움이 되지 않을 것이기 때문이다. 그러면 사람들이 믿는 일은 거의 불가능하게 될 것이고, 하나님이 자신의 피조물을 대적자에게 보내게 될 것이다. 하나님은 자신의 피조물을 대적자에게 넘겨줄 뿐만 아니라, 하나님이 그들을 해방시키려는 권세에게 향하도록 밀어내게 되었을 것이다.

그러나 하나님의 사랑은 영원하다. 하나님은 인류를 돕고, 악과의 싸움에서 항상 인류를 도울 것이지만, 자신의 피조물들이 자신의 가장 큰 원수인 대적자의 역사임을 짐작할 수 있는 위험에 절대로 빠지게 하지 않는다. 공의하게 생각하고, 행하는 사람들은 항상 하나님을 대적하는 세력을 깨달을 수 있게 될 것이고, 그러므로 그들이 그들의 잘못된 이 땅의 삶으로 인해, 그들의 모든 판단 능력을 빼앗기고, 하나님의 대적자에게 순복할 정도가 아니라면, 하나님의 대적자를 하나님 자신으로 여기는 위험에 빠지지 않게 될 것이다. 그런 사람들은 그러나 더 이상 하나님의 자녀가 아니라 사탄의 자녀이다. 왜냐하면 그들은 사탄의 뜻에 순종하고, 하나님께 전적으로 저항하기 때문이다.
