And therefore it is of great importance how earthly life is utilized, for as soon as this is decided a completely different struggle for ascent begins as it was granted to the being on earth. Life on earth continued to give it strength which it could utilize at will, whereas the being's life in the beyond is only blessed with strength when the being has reached a certain degree of maturity, but before that a completely powerless state is the soul's fate until it has reached this degree of maturity. And the latter is unspeakably difficult and would also be completely impossible if God's grace did not still come to meet it in the form of rays of light which bring it moments of realization in order to awaken the being's desire for light. Again, God only seeks to change the being's will in order to then also give it the opportunity to carry out its will. However, the conditions in the beyond are much more difficult to fulfil. A powerless being is also so weak-willed that it requires greatest effort and patience on the part of the beings of light to determine the being to let its will become active itself. But a being in the stage of darkness will never long to return to earth in order to make up for its misguided way of life on earth, i.e. to put it back in accordance with its actual task on earth. For only this will would earn the soul another stay on earth. But the immature soul's will only applies to material earthly life but never to spiritual higher development, for once it has become active in it then it also knows that only serving in love promotes its higher development, and it truly has enough opportunity for this in the beyond. For a tremendous amount of work has to be done if the souls are to be given light in the form of knowledge. It is the activity in the beyond which people on earth cannot comprehend and yet which is unspeakably important.... What was neglected on earth has to be made up for in the beyond, and just as spiritual help for fellow human beings on earth is an act of love, so the beings' activity in the beyond is also an uninterrupted labour of love.... a constant distribution of what the souls lack.... a distribution of light and knowledge to the souls who dwell in darkness. This activity requires free will just as on earth. The being must be willing to be of service, then it will progress in its development. Once it has overcome the lack of will it will work diligently on itself. It will certainly also remember the unused time on earth in deep remorse but now sees a sphere of activity in front of it which requires all its willingness to help.... The soul now thinks more of the suffering souls around it than of its own state, and only now does it fulfil its task with devotion, and its own state becomes ever more light-filled because it now receives light and strength in order to pass it on. However, once it has become a recipient of light and strength it will never want to return to earth unless a task is to be carried out on earth which requires the embodiment of a being of light on earth.... It must always be taken into consideration that in the state of darkness the soul also lacks realization, since it has neglected its spiritual development on earth.... But if it recognizes this, it will also see the possibilities in the beyond which will ensure its ascent. However, a renewed embodiment on earth would only be granted to the soul if it would desire it in full awareness of its immature state and for the purpose of maturing the soul.... thus if free will would urge it to live on earth again in order to attain a higher state of maturity. But this already presupposes a certain knowledge and therefore also a certain degree of maturity, i.e. the ability to love, which then impels the soul to participate in the work of redemption in the beyond, because it recognizes that every strength is also needed for this and that it now willingly places its love at the service of this work of redemption....

E por isso é de grande importância a forma como a vida terrena é usada, pois assim que se decide começar uma luta completamente diferente pela ascensão, como foi concedida ao ser na Terra. A vida terrena continuou a dar-lhe força que podia usar à vontade, enquanto que a vida do ser no além só é abençoada com força quando o ser atingiu um certo grau de maturidade, mas antes disso um estado completamente impotente é o destino das almas até que elas tenham atingido esse grau de maturidade. E esta última é inexprimivelmente difícil e seria também totalmente impossível se a graça de Deus não o encontrasse ainda sob a forma de raios de luz que lhe trazem momentos de reconhecimento, a fim de despertar o desejo de luz no ser. Mais uma vez, Deus só procura mudar a vontade do ser para depois também lhe dar a oportunidade de realizar a vontade. Apenas as condições no além são muito mais difíceis de preencher. Um ser impotente é também tão fraco que requer o maior esforço e paciência por parte dos seres de luz para determinar o ser a deixar a sua própria vontade tornar-se activa. Mas um ser em estado de escuridão nunca pedirá para voltar à Terra para compensar o seu modo de vida mal orientado na Terra, isto é, para colocá-lo de volta de acordo com a sua tarefa terrena real. Pois só assim a alma ganharia uma estadia renovada na Terra. Mas a vontade imatura da alma só se aplica à vida material terrena, mas nunca ao desenvolvimento espiritual superior, porque uma vez que se tornou ativa, então também sabe que só o serviço amoroso promove o seu desenvolvimento superior, e tem realmente oportunidade suficiente para isso no além. Pois há uma enorme quantidade de trabalho a ser feito para que as almas sejam supridas de luz sob a forma de conhecimento. É a actividade no além que as pessoas na Terra não conseguem compreender e que, no entanto, é de uma importância indescritível.... O que foi negligenciado na Terra tem que ser compensado no além, e assim como a ajuda espiritual aos semelhantes é um ato de amor na Terra, também a atividade dos seres no além é uma atividade contínua de amor.... uma distribuição constante do que as almas não têm.... uma distribuição de luz e conhecimento para as almas que habitam nas trevas. Esta actividade requer livre arbítrio, tal como na Terra. O ser deve estar disposto a estar ao serviço, então ele progredirá no seu desenvolvimento. Uma vez superada a sua falta de vontade, ela trabalhará diligentemente sobre si mesma. Certamente também se lembrará do tempo não utilizado na Terra em profundo remorso, mas agora vê diante de si uma esfera de atividade que requer toda a sua disposição para ajudar. A alma agora pensa mais nas almas que sofrem à sua volta do que no seu próprio estado, e só então cumpre a sua tarefa com devoção, e o seu próprio estado torna-se cada vez mais iluminado, porque agora recebe luz e força para a transmitir. Mas uma vez que se tenha tornado um receptor de luz e força, nunca mais desejará retornar à Terra, a menos que uma tarefa seja realizada na Terra, que necessite da encarnação de um ser de luz na Terra. Deve-se ter sempre em conta que no estado de escuridão a alma também carece de realização, uma vez que negligenciou o seu desenvolvimento espiritual na Terra.... Mas se reconhecer isto, também verá as possibilidades no além que garantirão a sua ascensão. Contudo, uma encarnação repetida na Terra só seria concedida à alma se ela a desejasse em plena consciência do seu estado imaturo e com o propósito de amadurecer a alma...., assim se o livre arbítrio a instasse a viver novamente na Terra para atingir um estado de maturidade mais elevado. Mas isso já pressupõe um certo conhecimento e, portanto, também um certo grau de maturidade, ou seja, a capacidade de amar, que depois impele a alma a participar na obra de redenção no além, porque reconhece que para isso também são necessárias todas as forças e agora coloca voluntariamente o seu amor ao serviço dessa obra de redenção...._>Amém
