Wrestling in the afterlife.... re-embodiment on earth?....

And therefore it is of great importance how earthly life is utilized, for as soon as this is decided a completely different struggle for ascent begins as it was granted to the being on earth. Life on earth continued to give it strength which it could utilize at will, whereas the being's life in the beyond is only blessed with strength when the being has reached a certain degree of maturity, but before that a completely powerless state is the soul's fate until it has reached this degree of maturity. And the latter is unspeakably difficult and would also be completely impossible if God's grace did not still come to meet it in the form of rays of light which bring it moments of realization in order to awaken the being's desire for light. Again, God only seeks to change the being's will in order to then also give it the opportunity to carry out its will. However, the conditions in the beyond are much more difficult to fulfil. A powerless being is also so weak-willed that it requires greatest effort and patience on the part of the beings of light to determine the being to let its will become active itself. But a being in the stage of darkness will never long to return to earth in order to make up for its misguided way of life on earth, i.e. to put it back in accordance with its actual task on earth. For only this will would earn the soul another stay on earth. But the immature soul's will only applies to material earthly life but never to spiritual higher development, for once it has become active in it then it also knows that only serving in love promotes its higher development, and it truly has enough opportunity for this in the beyond. For a tremendous amount of work has to be done if the souls are to be given light in the form of knowledge. It is the activity in the beyond which people on earth cannot comprehend and yet which is unspeakably important.... What was neglected on earth has to be made up for in the beyond, and just as spiritual help for fellow human beings on earth is an act of love, so the beings' activity in the beyond is also an uninterrupted labour of love.... a constant distribution of what the souls lack.... a distribution of light and knowledge to the souls who dwell in darkness. This activity requires free will just as on earth. The being must be willing to be of service, then it will progress in its development. Once it has overcome the lack of will it will work diligently on itself. It will certainly also remember the unused time on earth in deep remorse but now sees a sphere of activity in front of it which requires all its willingness to help.... The soul now thinks more of the suffering souls around it than of its own state, and only now does it fulfil its task with devotion, and its own state becomes ever more light-filled because it now receives light and strength in order to pass it on. However, once it has become a recipient of light and strength it will never want to return to earth unless a task is to be carried out on earth which requires the embodiment of a being of light on earth.... It must always be taken into consideration that in the state of darkness the soul also lacks realization, since it has neglected its spiritual development on earth.... But if it recognizes this, it will also see the possibilities in the beyond which will ensure its ascent. However, a renewed embodiment on earth would only be granted to the soul if it would desire it in full awareness of its immature state and for the purpose of maturing the soul.... thus if free will would urge it to live on earth again in order to attain a higher state of maturity. But this already presupposes a certain knowledge and therefore also a certain degree of maturity, i.e. the ability to love, which then impels the soul to participate in the work of redemption in the beyond, because it recognizes that every strength is also needed for this and that it now willingly places its love at the service of this work of redemption....

저세상에서 투쟁. 이 땅으로 다시 육신을 입는 일.

이 땅의 삶을 어떻게 사용되는 지는 아주 중요하다. 왜냐하면 이 땅의 삶이 끝이나면, 이 땅의 존재에게 부여된 것과는 전혀 다른 높은 곳을 향한 투쟁이 시작되기 때문이다. 이 땅의 삶에서는 그에게 그가 원하는 대로 사용할 수 있는 힘이 계속 공급이 되는 반면에, 저세상에서 존재의 삶에서는 존재가 어느 정도 성숙해지 때, 비로소 힘을 받는 축복을 얻는다. 존재가 이런 수준의 성숙한 정도에 도달할 때까지는 완전히 무력한 상태가 혼의 운명이 된다. 이런 운명은 말할 수 없을 정도로 어려운 운명이고, 하나님의 은혜가 존재에게 빛을 비춰주는 방식으로 존재에게 은혜를 베풀지 않는다면, 존재 안에 빛을 향한 욕망을 깨우기 위해 깨달음의 순간에 도달하게 하는 일은 전적으로 불가능하다.

하나님은 존재에게 의지를 수행할 기회를 주기 위해 단지 존재의 의지를 변화시키려고 시도한다. 그러나 저세상에서 이를 위한 조건을 충족시키는 일이 훨씬 더 어렵다. 무기력한 존재는 또한 의지가 아주 약해서, 빛의 존재들이 존재가 스스로 의지를 실천하도록 움직이게 하기 위해 가장 큰 노력과 인내가 필요하다. 그러나 어두움의 단계에 있는 존재는 자신이 실패한 이 땅의 삶을 만회하도록, 다시 말해 실제 이 땅의 과제에 따라 이 땅의 삶을 살도록, 이땅으로 다시 돌아가는 요청을 절대로 받지 않을 것이다. 왜냐면 단지 그렇게 하려는 의지가 혼이 다시 한번 이 땅에 거하는 일을 가능하게 만들기 때문이다.

성숙하지 못한 혼의 의지는 단지 물질적인 이 땅의 삶에만 관심이 있고, 절대로 영적으로 높게 성장하는 일에 관심을 두지 않는다. 왜냐면 이런 의지가 그 안에서 한번 활성화가 되면, 혼이 단지 사랑으로 섬기는 일이 높이 성장하는 일에 도움이 된다는 것을 알고, 혼이 진실로 충분하게 저세상에서 섬길 기회를 받기 때문이다. 왜냐하면 지식의 형체로 혼에게 빛을 주려면, 큰 일을 해야만 하기 때문이다. 이 일은 이 땅의 사람들이 이해할 수 없는 일지만, 그러나 말할 수 없을 정도로 중요한 저세상의 일이다.

이 땅에서 소홀히했던 일은 저세상에 보완되어야만 하고, 이 땅에서 이웃 사람에게 영적인 도움을 주는 일이 사랑의 역사인 것처럼, 저세상에서 존재가 하는 일도 또한 사랑을 끊임 없이 행하는 일이고, 혼에게 부족한 것을 지속적으로 공급해주는 일이고, 어두움 속에 거하는 혼들에게 빛과 지식을 주는 일이다. 이런 일을 위해 이 땅에서처럼 자유의지가 필요하다. 존재는 스스로 섬길 준비가 되어 있어야만 한다. 그러면 그의 성장이 이뤄진다. 존재가 의지의 부족을 한번 극복하면, 존재는 열심을 드려 자신에 대한 작업을 한다. 그는 실제 깊은 회개를 하며 이 땅에서 사용하지 않은 시간을 기억하게 될 것이다. 그러나 그는 이제 스스로 자신의 모든 도우려는 의지가 요구되는 활동의 영역을 보게 된다.

혼이 이제 자신의 상태보다 주변의 고통받는 혼을 더 많이 생각하고, 이제 비로소 헌신하며 혼의 과제를 수행하고, 혼 자신의 상태가 점점 더 밝아진다. 왜냐면 혼이 이제 빛과 힘을 전해주기 위해 빛과 힘을 받기 때문이다. 그러나 혼이 한번 빛과 힘을 받게 되면, 빛의 존재가 이 땅으로 육신을 입는 일을 요구하는 과제를 이 땅에서 수행해야 하지 않는 한, 절대로 이 땅으로 돌아가기를 갈망하지 않는다. 어두움의 상태에서 혼이 이 땅에서 자신의 영적인 성장을 소홀히 했기 때문에, 혼에게 지식이 부족하다는 것을 항상 고려해야만 한다. 혼이 이를 깨달으면, 혼은 또한 저세상에서 자신의 성장을 보장하는 가능성들을 보게 된다.

이 땅으로 다시 육신을 입는 일은, 단지 혼이 자신의 성숙하지 못한 상태를 완전하게 의식하고, 혼의 성장을 목적으로 다시 육신을 입기를 원할 때, 그러므로 자유의지가 높은 성장 상태에 도달하기 위해 이 땅의 삶을 다시 한번 살기를 원한다면, 혼에게 부여되게 된다. 그러나 이일은 이미 특정한 지식과 어느 정도의 성숙한 정도를 전제로 한다. 즉 혼이 저세상에서 구원의 역사에 참여하게 하는, 어느정도 사랑할 수 있는 능력을 전제로 한다. 왜냐하면 혼이 이 일을 위해 모든 힘이 필요한 것을 깨닫고, 혼이 이제 자신의 사랑으로 구속역사에 자원하여 섬기기 때문이다.
