Word of God.... act of God's mercy....

It is difficult to make people understand what gift of grace comes to them through the mediation of the divine word, for the word is the connection between God and people who are still distant from Him.... the word is, as it were, God's approach to people who have not yet made any effort to come to Him. The person who receives the divine word has indeed established this connection, but the word does not only come to earth for him, but through him to all people, even to those who have not yet sought God's closeness of their own accord. This is an act of mercy that is incomprehensible to people. Man should decide in favour of God of his own free will and of his own accord and strive for union with Him. Yet his will is very weak and the adversary's activity is strong, and he tries to win the human being's will for himself. And the human being would be lost if he were not helped by the word of God. Everything he fails to do of his own accord is made clear to him through the word. He is urgently admonished to allow his will to become active after all; the significance of a properly utilized will is presented to him and the path he should take on earth in order to finally become free for eternity is clearly outlined to him. God's infinite love expresses itself, it descends to earth itself and gathers its little sheep.... This word would truly not be necessary if people wanted to shape themselves into love of their own accord, for then they would also take the right path without any guidance, they would become knowledgeable and, by being active in love, would also directly receive the strength from God to live their lives in spiritual endeavour. But the will to love is very weak and therefore the realization is also minimal. And a lack of strength is the result, as the strength is a gift from God that is conditional on the will of the person. Only activity of love of his own accord and acceptance of the divine word allow the strength from God to flow to him. However, in order to be able to fulfil the earthly task in accordance with God's will, the human being needs the strength from God, and therefore God constantly seeks to convey this to people through His word and to stimulate them to activity of love through it. Without these constant admonitions people would be lost, for they are still too exposed to the influence of God's adversary, whose endeavour is to remove them completely from God. And thus two powers wrestle against each other and try to win the souls for themselves. But the human being's will is free and can decide in favour of either power, and they would inevitably fall prey to God's adversary if God did not come to their aid through His word, which He repeatedly conveys to earth in love and greater than great mercy....

Wort Gottes.... Akt der Barmherzigkeit Gottes....

Welche Gnadengabe den Menschen zugeht mit der Vermittlung des göttlichen Wortes, ist ihnen schwer begreiflich zu machen, denn es ist das Wort die Verbindung zwischen Gott und den Ihm noch fernen Menschen.... es ist das Wort gleichsam ein Entgegenkommen Gottes zu den Menschen, die noch keine Anstalten machen, zu Ihm zu kommen. Der das göttliche Wort aufnehmende Mensch hat zwar diese Verbindung hergestellt, es kommt das Wort aber nicht nur für ihn zur Erde, sondern durch ihn zu allen Menschen, auch zu jenen, die von selbst noch nicht die Nähe Gottes gesucht haben. Es ist dies ein Erbarmungsakt, der unfaßbar ist für die Menschen. Aus freiem Willen und eigenem Antrieb soll sich der Mensch für Gott entscheiden und den Zusammenschluß mit Ihm anstreben. Doch sein Wille ist sehr schwach und das Wirken des Widersachers stark, und er sucht den Willen des Menschen für sich zu gewinnen. Und es wäre der Mensch verloren, so ihm nicht Hilfe gebracht würde durch das Wort Gottes. Alles, was er aus eigenem Antrieb versäumt, wird ihm durch das Wort nahegelegt. Er wird eindringlich ermahnt, doch seinen Willen tätig werden zu lassen; es wird ihm die Bedeutsamkeit eines recht genützten Willens vorgestellt und ihm der Weg klar vorgezeichnet, den er auf Erden gehen soll, um endgültig frei zu werden für die Ewigkeit. Die unendliche Liebe Gottes äußert Sich, Sie steigt Selbst zur Erde hernieder und sammelt Ihre Schäflein.... Es wäre dieses Wort wahrlich nicht vonnöten, wenn die Menschen sich aus eigenem Antrieb zur Liebe gestalten möchten, denn dann würden sie auch ohne Hinweis den rechten Weg gehen, sie würden wissend werden und durch das Betätigen in Liebe auch unmittelbar die Kraft von Gott empfangen, um ihren Lebenswandel in geistigem Streben zu führen. Doch der Wille zur Liebetätigkeit ist sehr schwach und daher auch die Erkenntnis minimal. Und Kraftlosigkeit ist die Folge, da die Kraft eine Zuwendung Gottes ist, die den Willen des Menschen bedingt. Nur Liebetätigkeit aus eigenem Antrieb und Entgegennahme des göttlichen Wortes lassen ihm die Kraft aus Gott zuströmen. Um aber die Erdenaufgabe dem Willen Gottes gemäß erfüllen zu können, benötigt der Mensch die Kraft aus Gott, und daher sucht Gott, immer wieder den Menschen diese zuzuleiten durch Sein Wort und sie durch dieses zur Liebetätigkeit anzuregen. Ohne diese ständigen Ermahnungen wären die Menschen verloren, denn sie sind noch zu sehr dem Einfluß des Gegners von Gott ausgesetzt, dessen Streben ist, sie gänzlich von Gott zu entfernen. Und also ringen zwei Mächte gegeneinander und suchen die Seelen für sich zu gewinnen. Der Wille des Menschen aber ist frei und kann sich entscheiden für eine jede Macht, und sie wären unweigerlich dem Gegner Gottes verfallen, so Gott ihnen nicht zu Hilfe käme durch Sein Wort, das Er immer wieder zur Erde leitet in Liebe und übergroßer Barmherzigkeit....
