Divine spiritual activity requires undoubted faith, because divine spiritual activity is the influx of power from God, which understandably can never be granted to a person who is not a full believer. What the spirit from God imparts to man is often incomprehensible to the human mind. Faith, however, affirms everything, even if the intellect cannot grasp it. But if God makes Himself known through the spirit, then He also wants what He gives to be accepted in faith, for His gift is too precious to be given to those who are weak in faith and would therefore doubt the divine truth. To the believer nothing seems impossible, nothing incomprehensible and nothing impracticable, consequently he accepts every teaching without doubting its truthfulness. Unbelief, however, sets limits; he who stands in unbelief will always raise objections because he does not know the working of the spirit in man, because he knows nothing and because he judges according to his worldly understanding. For the unbeliever will never be able to receive the truth directly, but it must be conveyed to him. Consequently, because he cannot believe, he will reject the communication of the one who allows the spirit from God to work in him, for he is not yet capable of receiving divine truth. Faith must be strong, only then will the human being become such that he submits himself to God in deepest humility. He must believe in God, only then will he endeavour to live in a way that pleases Him. In order to fulfil the will of a power, the power must first be acknowledged, and this is faith.... The human being is inclined to contradict, and he will continue to contradict until the spark of the spirit awakens in him, and then it will enlighten him, and truly in the same way, for the spirit from God cannot proclaim anything other than truth....

(18.11.1941) The believing person recognizes the truth as such, but the unbeliever is convinced that he is being offered untruth and he rejects it. But he also does not have the desire for the truth, otherwise the will to reject would not be so great in him, for the ability to believe is only the consequence of the will to believe. If the human being wants to come to knowledge and finds it difficult to believe, God's love constantly endeavours to help him because his will is decisive. He is mentally instructed, and mentally many wisdoms are brought to him, which he examines again and again, and his will to reject becomes weaker and weaker. This is also an activity of the spirit, only in a different form than the direct communication of wisdom from God, which presupposes full faith. Yet the will for truth is already an affirmation of the eternal deity, thus an unconscious faith, and God increases and strengthens this as soon as the human being is serious about it. If the direct expressions of the spirit are now made accessible to that person he will not immediately affirm them but they will give him cause for reflection. And he will recognize that what is offered to him does not deviate from his thoughts, he will recognize the harmony of what he received mentally and what is now conveyed to him. And thus he learns to believe because he wanted to believe, for he himself unconsciously strives towards God. And God does not let him strive in vain, God lets Himself be found when He is sought and comes to meet him Himself in the form of truth, which he will now recognize as such. The strength from God constantly flows to people and the spirit of God constantly works in those people who shape themselves accordingly so that He can work in them, for God wants to spread the truth, He wants to snatch people from spiritual darkness, and where the spirit of God is at work there is light and brightness....

L’Action de l'Esprit divin demande une foi inconditionnelle

L’Action de l'Esprit divin demande une foi sans doute, parce que l’Action de l'Esprit divin est l'Afflux de la Force de Dieu, et il est compréhensible qu’elle ne puisse jamais être conférée à un homme qui n'est pas pleinement croyant. Ce que l'Esprit de Dieu transmet à l'homme, n'est souvent pas tangible pour l'entendement humain. Mais la foi affirme tout, même lorsque l'esprit ne le saisit pas. Et si Dieu s'annonce par l'Esprit, alors Il veut aussi que ce qu'Il donne soit accueilli dans la foi, parce que Son Don est trop délicieux pour pouvoir aller à ceux qui sont faibles dans la foi, donc qui douteraient de la Vérité divine. À l'homme croyant rien n’apparaît impossible, rien n’est insaisissable et rien n’est inatteignable, par conséquent il accepte chaque enseignement sans mettre en doute sa Véracité. Mais la mauvaise foi met des barrières ; celui qui est dans la mauvaise foi fera toujours des objections, parce qu'il ne reconnaît pas l’Action de l'Esprit dans l'homme, parce qu'il ne sait rien et parce que jusqu'à présent il juge selon son esprit mondain, parce que le mécréant ne pourra jamais recevoir directement la Vérité, mais elle doit lui être transmise. Par conséquent il rejettera la transmission qui nécessite l’action de l'Esprit de Dieu en lui, parce qu'il ne peut pas croire, parce qu'il n'est pas encore réceptif pour la Vérité divine. La foi doit être forte, seulement alors l'homme se forme de façon à se subordonner à Dieu dans la plus profonde humilité. Il doit croire en Dieu, seulement alors il s’efforcera de vivre d’une manière qui soit agréable à Dieu. Pour s'acquitter de la Volonté d'un Pouvoir, le Pouvoir lui-même doit d'abord être reconnu, et cela est la foi. Dans l'homme se trouve une tendance à la contradiction, et il contredira aussi longtemps qu’en lui-même l’étincelle spirituelle ne se réveille pas, et maintenant celle-ci lui donne l'éclaircissement et la Vérité de la même manière, parce que l'Esprit de Dieu ne peut pas faire autre chose qu'annoncer la Vérité. L'homme croyant reconnaît la Vérité comme telle, mais le mécréant est convaincu que lui est offerte la non-Vérité et il la refuse. Mais il n'a même pas le désir pour la Vérité, autrement sa volonté de refus ne serait pas aussi grande, parce que pouvoir-croire est seulement la conséquence de vouloir-croire. Si l'homme veut arriver à la connaissance et qu’il lui est difficile de croire, alors l'Amour de Dieu s’efforce incessamment pour lui, parce que sa volonté est déterminante. Il est instruit mentalement, et mentalement il lui est apporté beaucoup de Sagesse qu'il examine toujours de nouveau, et sa volonté de refus devient toujours plus faible. Même cela est l’Action de l'Esprit, seulement sous une forme différente de la transmission directe des Sagesses de Dieu qui supposent une pleine foi. Mais la volonté pour la Vérité est déjà une affirmation de l'éternelle Divinité, donc une foi inconsciente, et Dieu l'augmente et la fortifie, dès que l'homme est sérieusement intentionné. Si maintenant à cet homme lui sont apportées des Manifestations directes de l'Esprit, il ne se manifestera pas immédiatement d’une manière affirmative, mais il sera motivé pour y réfléchir. Et il reconnaîtra que ce qui lui est offert ne s’écarte pas de ses idées, il reconnaîtra la convergence de ce qui lui arrivait mentalement et de ce qui maintenant lui est transmis. Et ainsi il apprend à croire, parce qu'il voulait croire, parce que lui-même tend inconsciemment vers Dieu. Et Dieu ne le laisse pas tendre inutilement, Dieu Se laisse trouver lorsqu’Il est cherché, et à celui qui vient à sa rencontre Il vient Lui-même sous la forme de la Vérité que maintenant il reconnaîtra comme telle. La Force de Dieu afflue incessamment à l'homme et l'Esprit de Dieu agit incessamment dans ces hommes qui se forment en conséquence pour qu'Il puisse agir en eux, parce que Dieu veut répandre la Vérité, Il veut arracher les hommes à l'obscurité, et là où agit l'Esprit de Dieu, il y a la Lumière et la Clarté.
