Belief in survival.... working of love.... recognize....

The belief that life ends with bodily death renders the human being incapable of spiritual endeavour, for he will then always focus his attention on worldly demands and their fulfilment. This is then his only endeavour and it is understandable that his spiritual higher development is then called into question. Spiritual knowledge, which should motivate a person to work on his soul, can indeed be replaced by extraordinary loving activity, for anyone who practices this will soon come to recognize the truth and also to believe. This is the inevitable consequence of eager labour of love. As soon as a person is serious about improving his character, about transforming his nature, he is also on the right path without faith in survival, for love has a redeeming effect and redemption is the only purpose of life. But again, every work of love must be carried out in free will. It cannot be effective if a certain influencing of the will has preceded it. Spiritual freedom is a precondition for spiritual success. And that is why a reorganization of thinking and acting cannot be carried out by force, and that is why divine love must be presented to men, which can certainly influence man to strive in itself, but never touches him as spiritual compulsion. Evidence of life after death is required, and this can be recognized with little attention, for the influx of spiritual strength alone is proof that forces beyond earthly life are active, and this certainty should give rise to the belief that life will continue. Yet the fact that people lack precisely this faith is simultaneously proof of the fact that people's activity of love is also very limited and is often merely a mechanical performance of a labour of love as a result of earthly laws or demands which, however, are devoid of all inner love. For only that is true love which comes from the heart and which drives the heart to ever new activity of love. This love will have a redeeming effect and the human being will be led to believe in a continuation of life after death and also recognize a spiritual working if he is in this love. For he will unite himself with God through the activity of love and God will guide him into realizing....

Crença na sobrevivência.... Love work.... Reconhecer....

A crença de que a vida termina com a morte corporal torna o ser humano incapaz de se esforçar espiritualmente, pois então ele sempre focalizará sua atenção nas exigências do mundo e no seu cumprimento. Este é então o seu único esforço, e é compreensível que o seu desenvolvimento espiritual superior seja então posto em causa. O conhecimento espiritual, que deve levar o ser humano a trabalhar na sua alma, pode de fato ser substituído por uma extraordinária atividade de amor, pois qualquer um que pratique isso logo chegará a reconhecer a verdade e também a acreditar. Este é o resultado inevitável da ávida atividade de amor. Portanto, assim que uma pessoa leva a sério o desenvolvimento do caráter, a transformação da sua natureza, ela também está no caminho certo sem fé na sobrevivência, pois o amor tem um efeito redentor e a redenção é o único propósito da vida. Só todo trabalho de amor tem de ser realizado de livre vontade. Não pode ser eficaz se uma certa influência sobre a vontade a precedeu. A liberdade espiritual é um pré-requisito para o sucesso espiritual. E é por isso que uma mudança de pensamento e de ação não pode ser realizada pela força, e é por isso que o amor divino deve ser apresentado às pessoas, o que certamente pode influenciar o ser humano a lutar per se, mas nunca o toca como coação espiritual. A evidência é necessária para a vida após a morte, e pode ser reconhecida com um pouco de atenção, pois o influxo de força espiritual já é prova de que as forças são ativas fora da vida terrena, e essa certeza deve dar origem à fé na vida contínua. Mas o facto de faltar precisamente esta fé é ao mesmo tempo a prova de que a actividade de amor das pessoas é também muito baixa e que muitas vezes é apenas a realização mecânica de uma obra de amor como resultado de leis ou exigências terrenas que, no entanto, carecem de todo o amor interior. Pois só isso é amor verdadeiro que vem do coração e que leva o coração a uma actividade de amor sempre nova. Este amor terá um efeito redentor, e o ser humano será levado a acreditar na continuação da vida após a morte e também a reconhecer a atividade espiritual se viver neste amor. Pois através da atividade do amor ele se une a Deus, e Deus o guia para a realização...._>Amém
