Danger of accepting established traditions.... Examination....

It is incomprehensible when a person supports a traditionally adopted teaching which would barely stand up to serious scrutiny. Only someone hungry for truth scrutinises every teaching and will indeed be successful insofar as that he will be able to differentiate between misguided teachings and the truth and correspondingly decide for or against existing doctrines. He will accept what he recognises as truth and retain it as a precious possession. But he will also disassociate himself easily from that which seems untrue to him, he will consider it worthless and thus he will not hesitate to give it up, to reject it. And only then will he value the doctrine and be imbued by it. And since it came alive in him he will stand up for this teaching, whereas traditionally adopted teachings are lifeless possessions, for they are accepted and kept due to some sense of duty. The person dare not voice his own opinion and strictly adheres to the teaching people imparted to him. Such a doctrine cannot lead to spiritual maturity in a person, for only that which he recognises as truth refines his nature. But in order to recognise the truth of a teaching the person must weigh up all pros and cons. If this is his serious will, he will recognise the truth and his work will begin.... to enlighten his fellow human beings as well. However, a person can only endorse that teaching which he himself regards to be true. Hence he must have examined it first before he can pass a teaching on. A certain sign of the value of a teaching is when it can be imparted to a fellow human being with complete confidence. If a person is so penetrated by it that he is capable of imparting a teaching understandably and acceptably then it can also be assumed that he has seriously examined it himself, for he cannot explain something that is still unclear to him, nor would it stand up to serious scrutiny and would therefore be discarded by himself as worthless. Thus, when it is being discussed, the battle of words will be won by that person who had formed an opinion about a doctrine and thought about it himself. He will find it easy to inform his fellow human being because he will have mastered the content of what he wants to pass on, whereas an adopted doctrine becomes more a game of words, because it cannot stand up to closer inspection and is therefore not suitable to be passed on. In that case people can only ever adhere to the wording of a teaching; however, the meaning of the wording causes confusion among people, just as, vice versa, the imparting of a teaching which was recognised to be true will lead to bright light and realisation in a fellow human being. This is why the acceptance of traditional religious doctrines must be warned against time and again, for they offer little or nothing at all to people. But something that should make people happy must be equally acceptable for all people, provided they are permeated by the desire for truth and see in it a mission to pass on what is imparted to them. They are fully capable of differentiating between truth and lies, thus a thoughtless acceptance of established traditions will be out of the question....

Adotando a sabedoria tradicional Danger.... Teste....

É incompreensível que uma pessoa apoie um ensino que foi adoptado de acordo com a tradição, mas que dificilmente resistiria a um exame sério. Somente uma pessoa sedenta de verdade submete todos os ensinamentos a um exame e também será bem sucedida na medida em que puder distinguir ensinamentos errôneos da verdade e que decidir de acordo com os ensinamentos existentes a favor ou contra eles. O que ele reconhece como verdade toma e guarda como um bem precioso. Mas ele também se separa facilmente do que lhe parece falso, não tem valor para ele, e por isso não se encolhe de desistir, ou seja, rejeitá-lo. E só agora o ensinamento será valioso para ele e o cumprirá. E ele defenderá esse ensinamento porque ele se tornou vivo nele, enquanto os ensinamentos adotados segundo a tradição são bens mortos, pois são aceitos e mantidos fora de uma espécie de dever. O homem não se atreve a apresentar a sua própria opinião, ele adere estritamente ao ensinamento que lhe é transmitido pelas pessoas. E, compreensivelmente, tal ensinamento não pode trazer maturidade espiritual ao ser humano, pois apenas aquilo que ele reconhece como verdade enobrece o seu ser. Mas para poder reconhecer um ensinamento como verdade, o ser humano deve considerar todos os prós e contras. Se esta é a sua vontade sincera, então ele reconhece a verdade, e agora o seu trabalho também começa.... para também dar esclarecimento aos seus semelhantes. No entanto, uma pessoa só pode defender o ensinamento que ela própria considera verdade. Ele deve, portanto, ter examinado antes de poder transmitir um ensino. E isso é um sinal seguro do valor de um ensinamento quando ele pode ser transmitido aos semelhantes com plena convicção. Se uma pessoa está tão imbuída disso que é capaz de transmitir um ensinamento ao seu semelhante de uma maneira compreensível e aceitável, então também se pode assumir que ela própria o examinou seriamente, pois algo que ainda não está claro para ela não pode ser tornado compreensível, não resistiria a um exame sério e também seria agora posto de lado por ele próprio como inútil. Portanto, assim que for debatido, a pessoa que tomou uma posição sobre um ensinamento e foi intelectualmente ativa será a vencedora na batalha das palavras. Será fácil para ele instruir seus semelhantes porque domina o conteúdo do que quer transmitir, enquanto um ensinamento adotado se tornará mais um jogo de palavras porque não resiste a um exame minucioso e, portanto, não é adequado para ser transmitido. As pessoas só podem então aderir à redação de um ensinamento, mas o significado da redação traz confusão entre as pessoas, assim como, inversamente, a transmissão de um ensinamento que é reconhecido como verdadeiro traz luz brilhante e realização para os seres humanos. E, portanto, deve-se sempre ser advertido contra a aceitação dos ensinamentos tradicionais da fé, pois estes podem dar às pessoas pouco ou nada. Mas o que deve ter um efeito feliz deve ser igualmente aceitável para todas as pessoas, desde que elas também carreguem dentro de si o desejo de verdade e a vejam como uma missão de transmitir o que lhes é transmitido. Eles serão muito bem capazes de distinguir entre mentiras e verdades, e uma aceitação irreflectida das tradições tradicionais será consequentemente excluída....._>Amém
