Right prayer.... fulfilment.... "Father, Thy will be done...."

The greatest power lies in the conscious call to God. Everything can be achieved by a person whose attitude towards God is such that he enters into contact with Him when he is in earthly or spiritual adversity, for he can be relieved of all worry. Another, Whose power is the greatest, now cares for him. God has provided His children with a bridge to Him, prayer. Whoever uses this bridge always and constantly has the opportunity to present his worries and troubles to Him; and to be able to present worries to God also means to become free of them, for God relieves every person of suffering, the more willingly the more trustingly it is presented to Him. Once man has freed himself from the feeling of unbridgeable distance from God, once he feels like His creature, once he recognizes that he belongs to God, then his prayer is also right, for he will now speak to his creator, his father from eternity, like a child and come to Him confidentially in all his needs. Man is powerless.... whatever he begins, it can only be completed as desired if God gives His consent. So if man wants to become master of his worries and suffering by his own efforts and disregard divine help, his endeavours and striving will be unsuccessful if God does not give His approval. After all, all success is dependent on God, and understandably God will help the person who comes to Him directly and asks for His help. The right prayer testifies to the right filial relationship that God wants to be established, and then the father's love comes into action and He fulfils every request of the person.... The relationship with God should be free of any outward appearance, as well as free of exaggerated submissiveness, which is expressed in posture and gestures. The relationship between child and father should be an intimate one, childlike and submissive in obedience, but intimate love should bind the child to the father. Such an intimate relationship must also bring the child fulfilment of every request, for God is love, and love denies His child nothing that brings him joy. The child will also be allowed to make earthly requests as long as it has recognized that the father's love considers the child in a way that is beneficial to it.... This realization has the consequence that the fulfilment of every request is left to the father, that the child prays "Father, Thy will be done" and that he now trustingly abandons himself to the father's love and humbly receives from His hand what is intended for him. Faith and trust in His goodness and wisdom should form the basis of every prayer, then the earthly child leaves the fulfilment of its requests to the heavenly father, and then the prayer is as it is pleasing to Him and He will answer it....

Rechtes Gebet.... Erfüllung.... "Vater, Dein Wille geschehe...."

Im bewußten Anruf Gottes liegt die größte Macht. Alles kann der Mensch erreichen, dessen Einstellung zu Gott so ist, daß er mit Ihm in Verbindung tritt, so er sich in irdischer oder geistiger Not befindet, denn er kann jeder Sorge enthoben sein. Es sorget nun ein anderer für ihn, Dessen Macht die größte ist. Es hat Gott Seinen Kindern eine Brücke zu Ihm freigestellt, das Gebet. Wer diese Brücke nützet, hat stets und ständig die Möglichkeit, Ihm die Sorgen und Nöte vorzutragen; und Gott die Sorgen vortragen zu können heißt auch, deren ledig zu werden, denn Gott nimmt einem jeden Menschen das Leid ab, desto williger, je vertrauender es Ihm vorgetragen wird. Hat sich der Mensch erst einmal frei gemacht von dem Gefühl unüberbrückbarer Gottferne, fühlt er sich als Sein Geschöpf, erkennt er also seine Zugehörigkeit zu Gott, so ist auch sein Gebet recht, denn er wird nun mit seinem Schöpfer, seinem Vater von Ewigkeit, sprechen wie ein Kind und vertraulich bittend zu Ihm kommen in allen seinen Nöten. Der Mensch ist machtlos.... was er auch beginnt, es kann nur dann wunschgemäß zu Ende geführt werden, wenn Gott Seine Zustimmung gibt. Will also der Mensch aus eigener Kraft Herr werden seiner Sorgen und Leiden und göttliche Hilfe außer acht lassen, so wird seine Mühe und sein Streben doch erfolglos sein, wenn Gott Seine Zustimmung nicht gibt. Alles Gelingen ist doch von Gott abhängig, und verständlicherweise wird Gott dem Menschen beistehen, der direkt zu Ihm kommt und Seinen Beistand erbittet. Das rechte Gebet bezeugt das rechte kindliche Verhältnis, das Gott hergestellt wissen will, und es tritt dann die Vaterliebe in Aktion, und Er erfüllt dem Menschen jegliche Bitte.... Der Verkehr mit Gott soll frei sein von jeder Äußerlichkeit, sowie er auch frei sein soll von übertriebener Unterwürfigkeit, die in Haltung und Gebärden zum Ausdruck kommt. Das Verhältnis vom Kind zum Vater soll ein vertrautes sein, wohl kindlich ergeben und untertan in Gehorsam, doch es soll innige Liebe das Kind mit dem Vater verbinden. Ein solches inniges Verhältnis muß auch dem Kind Erfüllung jeglicher Bitten eintragen, denn Gott ist die Liebe, und die Liebe versagt Seinem Kinde nichts, was ihm Freude macht. Auch irdische Bitten wird das Kind aussprechen dürfen, sofern es erkannt hat, daß die Vaterliebe das Kind so bedenkt, wie es diesem zuträglich ist.... Diese Erkenntnis hat zur Folge, daß die Erfüllung jeder Bitte dem Vater anheimgestellt wird, daß das Kind betet "Vater, Dein Wille geschehe" und daß es sich nun vertrauensvoll der Vaterliebe überläßt und aus Seiner Hand ergeben entgegennimmt, was ihm zugedacht ist. Glaube und Vertrauen auf Seine Güte und Weisheit soll jedem Gebet zugrunde liegen, dann überläßt das Erdenkind die Erfüllung seiner Bitten dem himmlischen Vater, und dann ist das Gebet so, wie es Ihm wohlgefällig ist, und Er wird es erhören....
