Indifferent or demanding acceptance of the divine gift....

Every spiritual gift should be received with gratitude and must therefore be recognized as a divine gift. The ignorant person, however, does not know how to appreciate it and this is the reason why he indifferently accepts what should deeply move and delight him. And a gift which is received so indifferently has little effect on the human being's soul. Therefore it remains an unsuccessful attempt to want to convey the truth to these people, for they lack the receptivity, i.e. the power of realization, which again can only be given to the demanding person. It is irrelevant on which spiritual level he stands if the divine gift of grace is offered to him; if it is only received with a hungry heart then he will soon be guided into realization, for a desiring heart opens itself to the spiritual influx and thus it can flow over unhindered, and the result is that a wealth of knowledge will be made accessible to the human being which can never be attained by earthly means. The desiring person will receive, but the indifferent person will come away empty-handed even though he is offered the same, for the desire for spiritual possessions can never be eliminated or the human being's free will would not be active. Thus the human being need only want to receive the power of realization, then he will soon be able to make a decision as long as spiritual truth is offered to him, and then he will also be grateful from the bottom of his heart that he is worthy of divine grace....

하나님의 선물에 대한 무관심하거나 또는 갈망하면 영접하는 일.

모든 영적인 선물은 감사하게 받아야 한다. 그러므로 영적인 선물을 하나님의 선물로 깨달아야만 한다. 그러나 무지한 사람은 하나님의 선물을 귀하게 여길 줄을 모른다. 이런 일이 그가 자신을 깊이 감동시키고 행복하게 해야 할 것을 무관심하게 받아들이게 하는 원인이다. 무관심하게 받은 선물은 인간의 혼에게 적게 영향을 미친다.

그러므로 그런 사람들에게 진리를 전하려는 시도는 성공할 수 없는 시도이다. 왜냐하면 그들에게 받아드릴 수 있는 능력이 없기 때문이다. 다시 말해 그들에게 깨달을 수 있는 능력이 부족하고, 깨달을 수 있는 능력은 단지 갈망하는 사람에게만 주어질 수 있기 때문이다. 하나님의 은혜의 선물이 그에게 제공될 때, 그가 어떤 영적 수준에 있는 지는 상관이 없다. 그가 하나님의 은혜의 선물을 배고픈 심장으로 받아드린다면, 그는 곧 깨닫도록 인도받을 것이다. 왜냐하면 원하는 심장은 영의 흐름을 향해 자신을 열고, 그러므로 영의 흐름이 방해를 받지 않고 흘러갈 수 있기 때문이다. 이런 일은 사람이 세상적인 길을 통해서는 절대로 도달할 수 없는, 풍부한 지식을 얻게 해주는 결과를 가져온다.

갈망하는 사람은 받게 될 것이다. 그러나 무관심한 사람은 비록 그에게 영적인 선물이 제공될지라도, 빈손이 될 것이다. 왜냐면 영적인 재물을 향한 욕망을 절대로 제거할 수 없기 때문이다. 제거할 수 있다면, 사람의 자유의지가 활성화되지 않은 것이다. 그러므로 사람은 단지 자신에게 깨달을 능력이 임하기를 원하기만 하면 된다. 영적 진리가 그에게 제공이 된다면, 그는 곧 결정을 할 수 있게 될 것이다. 그러면 그는 또한 그가 하나님의 은혜에 합당하게 된 일로 인해 가장 깊은 심장으로 감사하게 될 것이다.
