The pure in heart.... truth....

Purity of heart is the guarantee that a person is in the truth. He who does evil also thinks evil; but he who endeavours to remain clear and pure for God must also think accordingly. The man who is pure of heart will always abhor everything that is contrary to the divine, he will be able to search in the depths of the heart because no filth prevents him from seeing, and wisdom will likewise rise up to him because it finds no obstacle. And everyone will be pure of heart who lives in and with God, who remains connected to Him, who lives his life consciously, i.e., who recognizes his earthly task, gives himself to God and always endeavours to fulfil His will. He will no longer want to and be able to live without God and every dishonest thought will stay away from him; if he has become weak he will sincerely ask God for forgiveness because his heart recognizes the wrong and does not consciously want to do wrong.... He will endeavour to take the right path and pray to God for strength and grace. Purity of heart must therefore also result in a person's correct thinking, for since the heart is the receptacle of truth from God, as soon as a person endeavours to shape and maintain it in a pure and receptive state, untruth will no longer be tolerated in it, it will be abhorred like all impurities and therefore rejected, because a person who is pure of heart has a desire for truth. And the desire for truth is also fulfilment.... Desire for truth is also desire for God, Who is truth Himself.... Desire for God, however, eliminates the work of the opposing power. Those who are pure of heart recognize the lie, they can therefore also no longer be misled, i.e. out of ignorance accept something as truth which contradicts it.... They will reject it, even if they cannot justify it intellectually. But their heart resists it because, due to its purity, it has a mimosa-like feeling and judgement for the spiritual good that seeks entrance. Unfair thoughts and actions dull the heart's sensitivity, and therefore those who profess the world and its pleasures will not stand in the truth either, for the desire for it also gives rise to thoughts and desires that are not exclusively for God, but for the one whose kingdom is the world.... And these thoughts will not be truthful and pure, they will awaken and favour those instincts which man is supposed to overcome, and thus will only be and remain a danger to the purity of the heart and an obstacle to receiving the pure truth from God.... But those who lack the truth also lack the light, and they do not find the path that leads to God....

순수한 심장을 가진 사람. 진리.

순수한 심장이 사람이 진리 안에 거한다는 보장을 해준다. 악을 행하는 사람은 마찬가지로 악하게 생각한다. 그러나 자신이 하나님을 위해 선명하고 순수하게 머물기 위해 노력하는 사람의 생각은 그가 노력하는 것에 합당해야만 한다. 순수한 심장을 가진 사람은 항상 하나님을 대항하여 추구하는 모든 일을 경멸할 것이다. 그는 심장의 깊은 곳을 헤아려 볼 수 있게 될 것이다. 왜냐하면 어떠한 불순물도 그가 보는 일을 방해하지 못하기 때문이다. 마찬가지로 지혜가 방해를 받지 않기 때문에, 지혜가 솟아나 그에게 임하게 될 것이다.

순수한 심장을 가진 모든 사람은 하나님 안에서, 하나님과 함께 사는 사람이고, 하나님과 연합이 되어 있고, 자신의 삶을 의식적으로 살고, 다시 말해 자신의 이 땅의 과제를 깨닫고, 자신을 하나님께 드리고, 항상 하나님의 뜻을 성취하려고 노력하는 사람이다. 그는 하나님의 없이는 더 이상 살기를 원하지 않을 것이고, 살 수 없게 될 것이다. 모든 불순한 생각이 그로부터 멀어질 것이다. 그가 연약해진다면, 그는 하나님께 긴밀하게 용서를 구할 것이다. 왜냐하면 자신의 심장에 불의한 것을 깨닫고, 의식적으로 불의한 일을 행하기를 원하지 않기 때문이다. 그는 올바른 길을 가려고 노력할 것이고, 하나님에게 능력과 은혜를 구할 것이다.

그러므로 심장의 순수함이 사람이 올바르게 생각하게 하는 결과를 가져올 것이다. 왜냐하면 심장은 하나님으로부터 온 진리를 받는 기관이기 때문이다. 사람이 심장을 순수하게 진리를 받기에 합당하게 만들고, 유지한다면, 심장 안에 진리가 아닌 것을 허용하지 않고, 진리가 아닌 것은, 다른 모든 순수하지 못한 것들처럼, 경멸할 것이고, 그러므로 거부할 것이다. 왜냐하면 순수한 심장을 가진 사람은 진리를 갈망을 가지고 있기 때문이다.

진리를 향한 갈망은 또한 진리 자체인 하나님을 향한 갈망이다. 그러나 하나님을 향한 갈망은 대적자의 역사를 무력화시킨다. 순수한 심장을 가진 사람은 거짓을 깨닫는다. 그러므로 그들은 잘못된 인도를 받을 수 없다. 다시 말해 깨닫지 못함으로 말미암아 진리와 모순이 되는 것을 진리로 영접하지 않게 된다. 그들은 비록 이성적으로 이유를 알지 못하더라도, 이를 거절할 것이다. 왜냐하면 심장이 순수함을 통해 영적인 내용에 대한 세심한 느낌과 판단할 수 있는 능력을 가지고 있기 때문에, 들어오려는 영적인 내용에 그의 심장이 대항하기 때문이다.

순수하지 못한 생각과 행동은 심장의 느낄 수 있는 능력을 무뎌지게 한다. 그러므로 세상과 세상의 기쁨을 신봉하는 사람은 진리 안에 서지 못하게 될 것이다. 왜냐하면 세상과 세상의 기쁨을 갈망하는 일은 하나님 만을 생각하고 갈망하는 것이 아니라, 그의 나라가 세상인 자를 생각하고 갈망하는 것을 나타내기 때문이다.

이런 생각은 순결하지 못하고, 순수하지 못할 것이다. 이러한 생각은 충동을 불러일으키고, 사람이 극복해야 할 것을 지원한다. 그러므로 단지 심장의 순수함에 대한 위험이고, 위험으로 남게 될 것이고, 하나님으로부터 순수한 진리를 받는 일에 방해가 될 것이다. 그러나 진리가 부족한 사람들에게는 빛이 또한 부족하고, 그들은 하나님께 인도하는 길을 찾지 못하게 된다.
