The pure in heart.... truth....

Purity of heart is the guarantee that a person is in the truth. He who does evil also thinks evil; but he who endeavours to remain clear and pure for God must also think accordingly. The man who is pure of heart will always abhor everything that is contrary to the divine, he will be able to search in the depths of the heart because no filth prevents him from seeing, and wisdom will likewise rise up to him because it finds no obstacle. And everyone will be pure of heart who lives in and with God, who remains connected to Him, who lives his life consciously, i.e., who recognizes his earthly task, gives himself to God and always endeavours to fulfil His will. He will no longer want to and be able to live without God and every dishonest thought will stay away from him; if he has become weak he will sincerely ask God for forgiveness because his heart recognizes the wrong and does not consciously want to do wrong.... He will endeavour to take the right path and pray to God for strength and grace. Purity of heart must therefore also result in a person's correct thinking, for since the heart is the receptacle of truth from God, as soon as a person endeavours to shape and maintain it in a pure and receptive state, untruth will no longer be tolerated in it, it will be abhorred like all impurities and therefore rejected, because a person who is pure of heart has a desire for truth. And the desire for truth is also fulfilment.... Desire for truth is also desire for God, Who is truth Himself.... Desire for God, however, eliminates the work of the opposing power. Those who are pure of heart recognize the lie, they can therefore also no longer be misled, i.e. out of ignorance accept something as truth which contradicts it.... They will reject it, even if they cannot justify it intellectually. But their heart resists it because, due to its purity, it has a mimosa-like feeling and judgement for the spiritual good that seeks entrance. Unfair thoughts and actions dull the heart's sensitivity, and therefore those who profess the world and its pleasures will not stand in the truth either, for the desire for it also gives rise to thoughts and desires that are not exclusively for God, but for the one whose kingdom is the world.... And these thoughts will not be truthful and pure, they will awaken and favour those instincts which man is supposed to overcome, and thus will only be and remain a danger to the purity of the heart and an obstacle to receiving the pure truth from God.... But those who lack the truth also lack the light, and they do not find the path that leads to God....

Coloro che sono di cuore puro - La Verità

Nella purezza del cuore è data la garanzia che l’uomo si trovi nella Verità. Chi fa del male, pensa anche male; ma chi si sforza di rimanere chiaro e puro per Dio, il suo pensare deve anche essere rispettivamente. L’uomo che è di cuore puro, aborrirà sempre tutto ciò che va contro il Divino, potrà esplorare nella profondità del cuore, perché nessuna impudicizia gli impedisce lo sguardo e proprio così salirà a lui la Sapienza, perché non trova nessun ostacolo. E sarà di cuore puro ognuno che vive in e con Dio, che rimane unito con Lui, che vive coscientemente la sua vita, cioè che riconosce il suo compito terreno, di darsi a Dio e si sforza sempre di adempiere la Sua Volontà. Non vorrà e non potrà più vivere senza Dio, e gli rimarrà lontano ogni pensiero impuro; quando diventa debole, chiede intimamente perdono a Dio, perché il suo cuore riconosce l’ingiusto e non lo vuole commettere coscientemente. Si sforzerà di percorrere la retta via e chiederà a Dio la Forza e la Grazia. La purezza del cuore deve aver perciò per conseguenza, che l’uomo stia nel giusto pensare, perché il cuore è il vaso d’accoglienza per la Verità da Dio, ed appena l’uomo si sforza di formarlo in modo puro e degno per ricevere e di conservarlo, la non-verità non vi verrà più tollerata, verrà aborrita come tutto l’impuro e perciò rifiutata, perché l’uomo, che è di cuore puro, ha il desiderio per la Verità. E questo desiderio è anche l’esaudimento. Desiderare la Verità è anche desiderare Dio, il Quale E’ la Verità Stessa. Desiderare Dio però esclude l’agire del potere avverso. Coloro che sono di cuore puro riconoscono la menzogna, di conseguenza non possono nemmeno più essere guidati nell’errore, cioè di accettare per ignoranza come Verità qualcosa che la contraddice. Lo rifiuteranno, persino quando non lo possono motivare secondo l’intelletto. Ma il loro cuore se ne oppone, perché attraverso la purezza ha una percezione mimosica ed una capacità di giudizio per il patrimonio spirituale che cerca di entrare. Pensieri ed azioni impuri ottundono la capacità di percezione del cuore, e perciò non starà nemmeno nella Verità colui che si dichiara per il mondo e le sue gioie, perché questo desiderio procura anche pensieri e bramosie che non sono rivolti esclusivamente a Dio, ma a colui il cui regno è il mondo. E questi pensieri non saranno puri e limpidi, risveglieranno e favoriranno quegli istinti che l’uomo deve vincere e quindi saranno e rimarranno solo un pericolo per la purezza del cuore ed un ostacolo per ricevere la pura Verità da Dio. Ma a coloro ai quali manca la Verità, manca anche la Luce, e non trovano la via che conduce a Dio.
