State of remoteness from God....

The state of remoteness from God can never have the effect that the human being is good and noble, but he will always feel drawn to where God-opposing forces are active, he will take pleasure in evil, he will completely correspond to the will of the one who stands at the greatest distance from God. To be distant from God means being low and lowly, it means imperfection, ignorance and powerlessness.... And therefore a being in a state far from God can neither be good and noble, nor wise, powerful and perfect. It will bear all the characteristics that the antithesis of God embodies. He who seeks to change his state far from God must try to flee from the opponent of God; he must avoid that which puts the stamp of his affiliation with him on him. He must raise himself up to meet God.... he must try to get close to God. And thus he must do what is contrary to what he has done so far when he was under the influence of God's adversary.... He must change his whole being, he must strive for perfection, he must desire knowledge and ask for strength.... He must fight the characteristics of the power far from God and mould himself in such a way that he is worthy of closeness to God. For closeness to God is the most precious thing a person can achieve on earth. For just as the state far from God binds the being, so it becomes free through closeness to God, and freedom is the desirable goal of all spirituality. He who is far from God is also bound; but everything that is not free feels the compulsion and would like to free itself from it.... As soon as the being feels the state far from God as agony and wants to flee from it, there is also the prospect that it will reach its goal. Only what feels comfortable in the state of being far from God will never become free from the power of the one who opposes God. It cannot become free because the downward inclination is still too great in it; it will be incapable of noble action; it will also be incapable of love, and everything it does will be more in accordance with the will of the evil power. But God wants to change the state far from God, and where the being does not strive for this of its own accord, He gives it further opportunities.... He tries to induce the human being to do good deeds so that he thereby feels the strength of divine love and no longer wants to be without it. And then the ascent upwards begins, then the desire for closeness to God starts to awaken in him, and the human being turns away from God's adversary of his own free will because the desire for God becomes active in him, i.e. stimulates his will to turn to God for help.... And the human being will not call in vain if his prayer is for higher spiritual development....

State of Godliness....

O estado de distanciamento de Deus nunca pode ter o efeito de que o ser humano é bom e nobre, mas ele sempre se sentirá atraído para onde as forças opositoras a Deus estão ativas, ele terá prazer no mal, ele corresponderá completamente à vontade daquele que está a maior distância de Deus. Estar longe de Deus significa humildade e baixeza, significa imperfeição, ignorância e impotência.... E, portanto, um ser em estado distante de Deus não pode ser bom e nobre, nem sábio, poderoso e perfeito. Ela terá todas aquelas características em si mesma que o pólo oposto de Deus encarna. Aquele que procura mudar seu estado longe de Deus deve procurar fugir do adversário de Deus; deve evitar aquilo que lhe imprime o selo de sua pertença a este último. Ele deve educar-se até à altura, para encontrar Deus.... Ele deve tentar chegar perto de Deus. E assim ele deve fazer o que é contrário ao que tem feito até agora quando estava sob a influência do adversário de Deus.... Ele deve mudar todo o seu ser, ele deve lutar pela perfeição, ele deve desejar conhecimento e pedir força.... Ele deve combater as características do poder longe de Deus e moldar-se de tal forma que seja digno de estar perto de Deus. Porque a proximidade com Deus é a coisa mais requintada que uma pessoa pode alcançar na Terra. Pois assim como o estado distante de Deus une o ser, assim ele se torna livre através da proximidade a Deus, e a liberdade é a meta desejável de todas as coisas espirituais. Quem está longe de Deus também está vinculado; mas tudo o que não é livre sente a compulsão e quer romper com ela..... Assim que o ser sente o estado longe de Deus como um tormento e quer fugir dele, há também a perspectiva de que alcançará seu objetivo. Somente o que se sente bem no estado de distanciamento de Deus jamais se libertará do poder daquele que se opõe a Deus. Não pode tornar-se livre porque a inclinação para baixo ainda é demasiado grande; será incapaz de uma acção nobre; será também incapaz de amar, e tudo o que fizer corresponderá mais à vontade do poder maligno. Mas Deus quer mudar o estado longe de Deus, e onde o ser não se esforça por isso por si mesmo, Ele dá-lhe mais oportunidades.... Ele procura induzir o ser humano a fazer boas ações para que ele sinta assim a força do amor divino e não fique mais sem ele. E então a ascensão para cima começa, então o desejo de proximidade com Deus começa a despertar nele, e o ser humano se afasta do adversário de Deus de sua livre vontade, porque o desejo de Deus se torna ativo nele, ou seja, estimula sua vontade de recorrer a Deus em busca de ajuda.... E o ser humano não chamará em vão se sua oração for por um desenvolvimento espiritual superior...._>Amém
