The battle of light against darkness....

Nr. 1922 ? Light can only be perceived as light where darkness is the opposite.... darkness again can only be recognized as an agonizing state where light is offered, this must be recognized in order to drive the being to activity or resistance....

Everything that is full of light will be willing to draw the dark entity into its circle of light. It will want to give it what it possesses itself.... This is serving in love.... The beings of darkness, however, want to destroy, they want to pull the beings of light down, they want to take the light away from them.... and this is a battle in unkindness. However, unkindness can only be countered by love, for the only successful means of the beings of light is love. This love is often brought to its highest development where the spiritual resistance is particularly great. Thus the resistance drives love to increased activity. And this is synonymous with an increase in strength. Time and again the beings of light will succeed in leading beings from darkness to light through love, and these beings will then likewise participate in the activity of love, thus the strength of love will increase and more and more beings will be snatched from the dark state. This battle of light with darkness is something purely spiritual, it is a battle which is only carried out mentally, for to bring light to the beings in darkness, to illuminate their state, is tantamount to 'spreading knowledge amongst those beings'. The state of darkness is a state of complete ignorance of God and therefore ignorance of the truth.... thus a state which is agonizing in eternity, because only by recognizing the truth does an undreamt-of happiness open up to the beingness, but the ignorant state excludes all bliss, on the other hand it ignites all evil instincts. The light beings' activity of love now consists of mentally trying to transfer the light in the form of knowledge to those beings, which can be successful with untiring patience and love.... It is therefore purely spiritual work which the being of light accomplishes and which also only has a purely spiritual effect insofar as that the thinking of these beings now refines itself, that they increasingly distance themselves from evil thoughts, from unkindness, that they suppress the feelings of hatred in order to finally enter into contact with the beings of light and can now be instructed ever more easily, thus they are introduced into the kingdom of light and thus the battle of light against darkness was not without result. Love will always remain victorious, even if it takes a long time and such battles are not always visible on earth because they only take place mentally, i.e. the transmission of light is precisely the imparting of truth to people's thoughts. This is a purely spiritual process which signifies spiritual life.... the redemption of the beings from darkness to light, which is the activity of love of the beings of light and at the same time the cause of the state of bliss of these beings of light....

Kampf des Lichtes gegen die Finsternis....

ŠNR. 1922 ? Licht kann nur als Licht empfunden werden, wo Finsternis der Gegensatz ist.... die Finsternis wieder nur als qualvoller Zustand erkannt werden, wo Licht geboten wird, es muß dies erkannt werden, um das Wesen anzutreiben zur Tätigkeit oder zum Widerstand....

Alles Lichtvolle wird willens sein, das finstere Wesenhafte in seinen Lichtkreis hineinzuziehen. Es wird ihm geben wollen, was es selbst besitzt.... Es ist dies ein Dienen in Liebe.... Die Wesen der Dunkelheit aber wollen zerstören, sie wollen die Lichtwesen herabziehen, sie wollen ihnen das Licht nehmen.... und es ist dies ein Kampf in Lieblosigkeit. Es kann aber der Lieblosigkeit nur Liebe entgegengesetzt werden, denn das Mittel der Lichtwesen, das allein von Erfolg sein kann, ist die Liebe. Diese Liebe wird oft zur höchsten Entfaltung gebracht dort, wo der geistige Widerstand besonders groß ist. Also treibt der Widerstand die Liebe zu erhöhter Tätigkeit an. Und es ist dies gleichbedeutend mit Kraftvermehrung. Immer wieder wird es den Lichtwesen gelingen, durch die Liebe Wesenheiten aus der Dunkelheit zum Licht zu führen, und es werden diese Wesenheiten dann gleichfalls sich am Liebeswirken beteiligen, also wird die Liebeskraft vermehrt und immer mehr Wesenhaftes dem dunklen Zustand entrissen. Dieser Kampf des Lichtes mit der Dunkelheit ist etwas Reingeistiges, es ist ein Kampf, der nur gedanklich ausgeführt wird, denn den Wesen in der Finsternis das Licht zu bringen, ihren Zustand zu erhellen, ist gleichbedeutend mit "Wissen unter jenen Wesenheiten zu verbreiten". Der Dunkelheitszustand ist ein Zustand in völliger Unkenntnis Gottes und somit Unkenntnis der Wahrheit.... also ein Zustand, der in der Ewigkeit qualvoll ist, weil nur im Erkennen der Wahrheit sich dem Wesenhaften ein ungeahntes Glück erschließt, der unwissende Zustand aber alle Seligkeiten ausschließt, dagegen alle bösen Triebe entfacht. Die Liebetätigkeit der Lichtwesen besteht nun darin, daß gedanklich das Licht in Form von Wissen auf jene Wesen überzuleiten versucht wird, was bei unermüdlicher Geduld und Liebe erfolgreich sein kann.... Es ist also eine rein geistige Arbeit, die das Lichtwesen vollbringt und die sich auch nur rein geistig auswirkt insofern, daß das Denken jener Wesen sich nun veredelt, daß sie immer mehr Abstand nehmen von bösen Gedanken, von Lieblosigkeit, daß sie die Haßgefühle unterdrücken, um zuletzt mit den Lichtwesen in Verband zu treten, und nun immer leichter unterwiesen werden können, also in das Reich des Lichtes eingeführt werden und somit der Kampf des Lichtes gegen die Finsternis nicht ergebnislos war. Es wird immer die Liebe Sieger bleiben, wenngleich es langer Zeit bedarf und irdisch solche Kämpfe nicht immer sichtbar sind, weil sie sich eben nur gedanklich abspielen, d.h. die Lichtübertragung eben das Vermitteln der Wahrheit ist auf das Denken der Menschen. Es ist dies ein reingeistiger Vorgang, der geistiges Leben bedeutet.... das Erlösen des Wesenhaften aus der Finsternis zum Licht, das die Liebetätigkeit der Lichtwesen und zugleich die Ursache des Seligkeitszustandes dieser Lichtwesen ist....
