Preconditions for the work of the divine spirit....

These are the preconditions for the working of the spirit in man, that he endeavours to live according to divine will, that he educates himself to humility and peaceableness, that he is prepared to serve God and the neighbour, and that he is active in love and thus forms himself to become an image of God. The spirit from God in the human being enters into an alliance with the divine spirit outside himself, which is an emanation of God; however, everything divine requires a receptacle which is worthy of receiving such precious contents, and therefore the first condition is that the human being is pure of heart, that he detests what is not good and noble.... that he strives for truth and hates lies.... that he does not harbour dishonest thoughts, keeps away from all unkindness, is just in thought and deed and serves in love.... Then his heart shapes itself in such a way that it is worthy and therefore also capable of receiving the divine spirit, for then the spirit in the human being is free and can connect with the spiritual beyond itself, which stands in perfection and therefore receives the emanation of strength from God and imparts it to the spirit in the human being. The sending out of the Holy Spirit is therefore the transmission of divine power through spiritual bearers of light and power, i.e. perfect beings who have found union with God and now constantly receive and pass on light and power.... Everyone who asks for the spirit from God from the bottom of his heart and in deepest humility will be allowed to receive the divine spirit, the holiest from God, as long as he endeavours to live in such a way that he is worthy of the most delicious gift of grace. He must recognize God as the highest and most perfect being, Who is powerful beyond all measure and wise, and thus believe.... He must ask for His love and grace, i.e. demand what God wants to hand out.... and he himself must be active in love so that God's love can communicate itself to him.... And God will overshadow a person who thus moulds himself with His grace.... He will give him unmeasured what is a divine share.... His spirit.... He will guide him into right thinking, enlighten his spirit and give him strength to recognize what is right. He will enrich his knowledge, and creation will be revealed to him brightly and clearly. He will know the meaning and purpose of it, he will penetrate into the spiritual kingdom and only then will he realize the significance of his life on earth. But man himself must do one thing.... he must willingly open his ear if the spirit from God wants to make itself known to him.... The heart, his spiritual ear, must declare itself ready to receive and thus prepare itself by closing itself off from all the world, by focussing only on God and pleadingly awaiting the divine gift.... And on gentle wings the spirit of God descends upon those people who are willing to hear the divine word.... For when they turn their hearts upwards they listen to the word that comes from above and which resounds in the heart so delicately and subtly that it can only be heard when love for God sharpens the spiritual ear, when all worldly desire falls silent and the longing of the heart is only for the divine gift. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit is therefore dependent on man himself, on his will, his faith and his love.... Where the will is turned towards God, where faith in divine activity is strong and where love for God and neighbour establishes the connection with God, there the spirit from God will enlighten people and introduce them to all truth....

Pré-condições para o funcionamento do espírito divino....

Estes são os pré-requisitos para o funcionamento do espírito no ser humano, que ele se esforce por viver de acordo com a vontade divina, que se eduque a si mesmo para ser humilde e pacífico, que esteja disposto a servir a Deus e ao próximo, e que seja amorosamente ativo e assim se forme para se tornar uma imagem de Deus. O espírito de Deus no ser humano entra numa aliança com o espírito divino fora dele, que é uma emanação de Deus; mas tudo o que é divino requer um receptáculo digno de receber um conteúdo tão delicioso e, portanto, a primeira condição é que o ser humano seja puro de coração, que deteste o que não é bom e nobre...., que se esforce pela verdade e odeie mentiras...., que não guarde pensamentos desonestos, que se afaste de toda a indelicadeza, que esteja apenas em pensamento e acção e sirva no amor..... Então seu coração se moldará de tal modo que seja digno e, portanto, também capaz de receber o espírito divino, pois então o espírito no ser humano será livre e capaz de se unir com a substância espiritual exterior a ele, que se encontra na perfeição e, portanto, recebe a emanação de força de Deus e a transmite ao espírito no ser humano. O envio do Espírito Santo é, portanto, a transmissão da força divina através de portadores espirituais de luz e força, ou seja, seres perfeitos que encontraram união com Deus, agora recebem e transmitem constantemente luz e força..... Qualquer pessoa que peça o espírito a Deus do fundo do seu coração e com a mais profunda humildade poderá receber o espírito divino, o mais santo de Deus, desde que se esforce por viver de tal forma que seja digno do mais delicioso dom da graça. Ele deve reconhecer Deus como o Ser mais elevado e perfeito, que é poderoso e sábio, e assim acreditar..... Ele deve pedir pelo Seu amor e graça, assim exigir o que Deus quer distribuir.... e ele deve estar se amando para que o amor de Deus possa se comunicar a ele.... E Deus irá ofuscar uma pessoa que assim se forma com a Sua graça.... Ele vai dar-lhe o que é porção divina.... Seu Espírito.... Ele o guiará para o pensamento correto, iluminará seu espírito e lhe dará forças para reconhecer o que é certo. Ele irá enriquecer o seu conhecimento e a criação ser-lhe-á revelada de forma brilhante e clara. Ele conhecerá o seu significado e propósito, penetrará no reino espiritual e só então compreenderá o significado da sua vida terrena. Mas há uma coisa que o próprio ser humano deve fazer.... Ele deve abrir voluntariamente o seu ouvido se o espírito de Deus quiser dar-se a conhecer.... O coração, seu ouvido espiritual, deve declarar-se pronto para receber e assim se preparar, fechando-se de todo o mundo, apenas sendo dirigido para Deus e aguardando com imploração o dom divino.... E o espírito de Deus desce sobre aquelas pessoas em asas silenciosas que estão dispostas a ouvir a Palavra divina.... Pois se eles voltam o coração para cima, escutam a Palavra que vem de cima e que ressoa no coração com tanta ternura e delicadeza que só pode ser ouvida quando o amor a Deus aguça o ouvido espiritual, quando todo desejo mundano se cala e o anseio do coração é apenas pelo dom divino. A efusão do Espírito Santo depende, portanto, do próprio ser humano, da sua vontade, da sua fé e do seu amor..... Onde a vontade se volta para Deus, onde a fé na atividade divina é forte e onde o amor a Deus e ao próximo estabelece a conexão com Deus, ali o Espírito de Deus iluminará as pessoas e as introduzirá a toda a verdade....
