Preconditions for the work of the divine spirit....

These are the preconditions for the working of the spirit in man, that he endeavours to live according to divine will, that he educates himself to humility and peaceableness, that he is prepared to serve God and the neighbour, and that he is active in love and thus forms himself to become an image of God. The spirit from God in the human being enters into an alliance with the divine spirit outside himself, which is an emanation of God; however, everything divine requires a receptacle which is worthy of receiving such precious contents, and therefore the first condition is that the human being is pure of heart, that he detests what is not good and noble.... that he strives for truth and hates lies.... that he does not harbour dishonest thoughts, keeps away from all unkindness, is just in thought and deed and serves in love.... Then his heart shapes itself in such a way that it is worthy and therefore also capable of receiving the divine spirit, for then the spirit in the human being is free and can connect with the spiritual beyond itself, which stands in perfection and therefore receives the emanation of strength from God and imparts it to the spirit in the human being. The sending out of the Holy Spirit is therefore the transmission of divine power through spiritual bearers of light and power, i.e. perfect beings who have found union with God and now constantly receive and pass on light and power.... Everyone who asks for the spirit from God from the bottom of his heart and in deepest humility will be allowed to receive the divine spirit, the holiest from God, as long as he endeavours to live in such a way that he is worthy of the most delicious gift of grace. He must recognize God as the highest and most perfect being, Who is powerful beyond all measure and wise, and thus believe.... He must ask for His love and grace, i.e. demand what God wants to hand out.... and he himself must be active in love so that God's love can communicate itself to him.... And God will overshadow a person who thus moulds himself with His grace.... He will give him unmeasured what is a divine share.... His spirit.... He will guide him into right thinking, enlighten his spirit and give him strength to recognize what is right. He will enrich his knowledge, and creation will be revealed to him brightly and clearly. He will know the meaning and purpose of it, he will penetrate into the spiritual kingdom and only then will he realize the significance of his life on earth. But man himself must do one thing.... he must willingly open his ear if the spirit from God wants to make itself known to him.... The heart, his spiritual ear, must declare itself ready to receive and thus prepare itself by closing itself off from all the world, by focussing only on God and pleadingly awaiting the divine gift.... And on gentle wings the spirit of God descends upon those people who are willing to hear the divine word.... For when they turn their hearts upwards they listen to the word that comes from above and which resounds in the heart so delicately and subtly that it can only be heard when love for God sharpens the spiritual ear, when all worldly desire falls silent and the longing of the heart is only for the divine gift. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit is therefore dependent on man himself, on his will, his faith and his love.... Where the will is turned towards God, where faith in divine activity is strong and where love for God and neighbour establishes the connection with God, there the spirit from God will enlighten people and introduce them to all truth....

PREDUVJETI ZA DJELOVANJE BOŽANSKOG DUHA....

Ovo su uvjeti za djelovanje Duha u čovjeku: onaj koji se trudi živjeti u skladu sa Božanskom voljom, koji se uči poniznosti i mirotvorstvu, da bude spreman služiti Bogu i bližnjemu i biti aktivan u Ljubavi i na taj način oblikuje sebe kako bi postao slika Božja. Božji Duh u čovjeku, koji je zračenje od Boga, stupa u jedan savez sa Božanskim Duhom van njega; ipak sve Božansko zahtijeva jednu prijemčivu posudu da bude dostojna primiti tako jedan divan sadržaj i zato, prvi uvjet je da čovjek bude čista srca, da se gnuša onoga što nije dobro i plemenito, da traži Istinu i prezire laž, da ne njeguje nečiste misli, drži se podalje od svake neprijaznosti, da bude pravedan u razmišljanju i djelovanju i da služi u Ljubavi. Onda se njegovo srce oblikuje na način da je dostojno primanja Božanskog Duha i stoga je to i u stanju, jer tada je duh u čovjeku slobodan i može se sjediniti s Duhovnim izvan njega, kako se nalazi u savršenstvu i zato prima zračenje snage Božje i prenosi je na duh u čovjeku.

Izlijevanje Svetoga Duha je stoga prijenos Božanske snage putem duhovnih nositelja svjetla i snage, tj. savršenih bića koja su postigla sjedinjenje s Bogom, primaju i sprovode dalje bez prestanka svjetlost i snagu. Svatko tko zatraži Duh Božji iz dubine srca i u najdubljoj poniznosti, moći će primiti Božanski Duh, najsvetiju stvar od Boga, ako se trudi živjeti na način da je dostojan najugodnijeg milosnog Dara. Mora prepoznati Boga kao najuzvišenije i najsavršenije Biće, Koji je moćan i mudar iznad svake mjere, i stoga mora vjerovati. Mora tražiti Njegovu Ljubav i Njegovu milost, mora čeznuti za onim što bi Bog želio udijeliti, i on sâm mora biti aktivan u Ljubavi, kako bi mu se Ljubav Božja mogla objaviti.

I Bog će čovjeka koji se tako oblikovao zakriliti sa Njegovom milošću. Dat će mu neizmjerno onoga što je dio Božanskoga – Svoga Duha, vodit će ga u ispravno razmišljanje, prosvijetlit će njegov duh i dat će mu snagu da prepoznaje ono što je pravedno. Obogatit će njegovo znanje, i otkrit će mu se Stvaranje čisto i jasno. Upoznat će njegov smisao i cilj, prodrijet će u duhovno Kraljevstvo i tek onda će shvatiti značenje svog zemaljskog života.

Ali jedna stvar mora činiti sâmog čovjeka, mora dobrovoljno otvoriti svoje uho, ako mu se Duh Božji želi objaviti. Srce, njegovo duhovno uho, mora se dokazati spremnim za primanje, zatvarajući se za sve od svijeta, dok se obraća samo Bogu i čeka, tražeći, Božanski Dar. I na slatkim krilima Duh Božji silazi na one ljude koji su voljni prihvatiti Božansku Riječ, jer kada usmjere njihova srca u visine, slušaju Riječ koja dolazi iz visina i odjekuje u srcu na tako delikatan i nježan način, koji može biti primjetan samo kada Ljubav Božja izoštri duhovno uho, kada svaka svjetovna želja utihne i čežnja srca je usmjerena samo ka Božanskome Daru. Izlijevanje Svetoga Duha stoga ovisi o samom čovjeku, njegovoj volji, njegovoj vjeri i njegovoj Ljubavi. Gdje je volja usmjerena prema Bogu, gdje je vjera u Božansko djelovanje snažna i gdje Ljubav za Boga i bližnjega uspostavlja kontakt s Bogom, tamo će Duh Božji prosvijetliti ljude i uvesti ih u svu Istinu.
