Preconditions for the work of the divine spirit....

These are the preconditions for the working of the spirit in man, that he endeavours to live according to divine will, that he educates himself to humility and peaceableness, that he is prepared to serve God and the neighbour, and that he is active in love and thus forms himself to become an image of God. The spirit from God in the human being enters into an alliance with the divine spirit outside himself, which is an emanation of God; however, everything divine requires a receptacle which is worthy of receiving such precious contents, and therefore the first condition is that the human being is pure of heart, that he detests what is not good and noble.... that he strives for truth and hates lies.... that he does not harbour dishonest thoughts, keeps away from all unkindness, is just in thought and deed and serves in love.... Then his heart shapes itself in such a way that it is worthy and therefore also capable of receiving the divine spirit, for then the spirit in the human being is free and can connect with the spiritual beyond itself, which stands in perfection and therefore receives the emanation of strength from God and imparts it to the spirit in the human being. The sending out of the Holy Spirit is therefore the transmission of divine power through spiritual bearers of light and power, i.e. perfect beings who have found union with God and now constantly receive and pass on light and power.... Everyone who asks for the spirit from God from the bottom of his heart and in deepest humility will be allowed to receive the divine spirit, the holiest from God, as long as he endeavours to live in such a way that he is worthy of the most delicious gift of grace. He must recognize God as the highest and most perfect being, Who is powerful beyond all measure and wise, and thus believe.... He must ask for His love and grace, i.e. demand what God wants to hand out.... and he himself must be active in love so that God's love can communicate itself to him.... And God will overshadow a person who thus moulds himself with His grace.... He will give him unmeasured what is a divine share.... His spirit.... He will guide him into right thinking, enlighten his spirit and give him strength to recognize what is right. He will enrich his knowledge, and creation will be revealed to him brightly and clearly. He will know the meaning and purpose of it, he will penetrate into the spiritual kingdom and only then will he realize the significance of his life on earth. But man himself must do one thing.... he must willingly open his ear if the spirit from God wants to make itself known to him.... The heart, his spiritual ear, must declare itself ready to receive and thus prepare itself by closing itself off from all the world, by focussing only on God and pleadingly awaiting the divine gift.... And on gentle wings the spirit of God descends upon those people who are willing to hear the divine word.... For when they turn their hearts upwards they listen to the word that comes from above and which resounds in the heart so delicately and subtly that it can only be heard when love for God sharpens the spiritual ear, when all worldly desire falls silent and the longing of the heart is only for the divine gift. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit is therefore dependent on man himself, on his will, his faith and his love.... Where the will is turned towards God, where faith in divine activity is strong and where love for God and neighbour establishes the connection with God, there the spirit from God will enlighten people and introduce them to all truth....

Premesse necessarie per l’Agire dello Spirito divino

Queste sono le premesse per l’Agire dello Spirito nell’uomo: che si sforza di vivere secondo la Volontà divina, che si educa all’umiltà e alla pace, che è pronto a servire Dio e il prossimo, e che è amorevole e quindi si forma per diventare un’Immagine di Dio. Lo Spirito di Dio nel uomo conclude un patto con lo Spirito divino fuori di sé, che è un’Irradiazione di Dio; ma tutto Ciò che è Divino richiede un contenitore degno di accogliere un contenuto così delizioso, ed è dunque la prima condizione che l’uomo sia puro di cuore, che disprezzi ciò che non è buono e nobile, che cerchi la Verità e odi la menzogna, che non nutra pensieri cattivi, che si tenga lontano da ogni mancanza di amore, che sia giusto nel pensiero e nell’agire e che serva nell’amore.

Allora il suo cuore si forma di tal modo di essere degno e quindi anche capace di accogliere lo Spirito divino, perché allora lo spirito nell’uomo è libero e può unirsi a quello spirituale fuori di sé che sta nella perfezione e perciò riceve l’Irradiazione della Forza di Dio e la trasmette allo spirito nell’uomo. L’Emissione dello Spirito Santo è quindi la trasmissione di Forza divina tramite dei portatori spirituali di Luce e di Forza, cioè degli esseri perfetti che hanno trovato l’unione con Dio, che adesso ricevono e trasmettono infaticabilmente Luce e Forza.

Chiunque implora lo Spirito di Dio dal più profondo del cuore e nella più profonda umiltà potrà ricevere lo Spirito divino, il Più-santo-di-Dio, se si sforza di vivere di modo che sia degno del Dono più delizioso della Grazia. Deve riconoscere Dio come l’Essere più sublime e più perfetto, il Quale è potente e saggio oltre ogni misura, e quindi deve credere. Deve implorare il Suo Amore e la Sua Grazia, quindi deve desiderare ciò che Dio vorrebbe distribuire, ed egli stesso deve essere attivo nell’amore, affinché l’Amore di Dio possa comunicarsi a lui.

E Dio getterà l’Ombra della Sua Grazia su un uomo che si è formato così. Gli darà sconfinatamente ciò che è la Parte divina: il Suo Spirito. Lo guiderà nel giusto pensiero, illuminerà il suo spirito e gli darà la Forza per riconoscere ciò che è giusto. Arricchirà il suo sapere, e gli si rivelerà chiara e limpidamente la Creazione. Conoscerà il suo senso e scopo, penetrerà nel Regno spirituale, e ora soltanto afferrerà il significato della sua vita terrena.

Ma una cosa deve farla l’uomo stesso, deve volontariamente aprire il suo orecchio se lo Spirito di Dio vuole comunicarsi a lui. Il cuore, il suo orecchio spirituale, deve dichiararsi pronto all’accoglienza e quindi prepararsi chiudendosi a tutto il mondo, rivolgendosi solo a Dio e pregando aspettando il Dono divino. E su dolci Ali lo Spirito di Dio scende su quegli uomini che sono disposti ad ascoltare la Parola divina.

Perché quando rivolgono in Alto i loro cuori, ascoltano la Parola che viene dall’Alto e che risuona nel cuore di modo così delicato e fino che può essere percepita solamente quando l’amore per Dio affina l’orecchio spirituale, quando ogni desiderio mondano ammutolisce e il desiderio del cuore è soltanto rivolto al Dono divino. La Discesa dello Spirito Santo quindi dipende dall’uomo stesso, dalla sua volontà, dalla sua fede e dal suo amore. Dove la volontà è rivolta a Dio, dove la fede nell’Agire divino è forte, e dove l’amore per Dio ed il prossimo stabilisce il contatto con Dio, là lo Spirito di Dio illuminerà gli uomini e li introdurrà in tutta la Verità.
