Source of knowledge.... delicious labetrunk....

The source of knowledge is inexhaustible and the power that flows from it is unimaginable. And if you men only want to draw, you will be allowed to refresh yourselves at this source. Yet you must thirst for it, for the refreshment is too delicious to flow to people without being honoured. What God Himself offers you cannot be anything other than delicious. And that is why you should desire it from the bottom of your heart, you should not give room to any other desire in you and only long for the divine gift. And you will soon only desire to be fed from heaven, for nothing equals the food and drink from above. And you must try to strengthen your longing for it by overcoming obstacles; every obstacle must drive you to increased longing. Therefore your life, you who want to receive the gifts of heaven, cannot pass by monotonously and undisturbed. The path to the source, which is to refresh you, is arduous but promises you the most marvellous reward if you do not tire and try to advance despite obstacles. You should never forget that God Himself opens up this source for you, that it is He Who wants to refresh and strengthen you on the path through earthly life; that His infinite love has the most delicious things in store for you and wants to give them to you and only requires your willingness to receive them in order to be able to give them to you without measure. Man must sacrifice in order to be able to receive. Everything in him which desires earthly fulfilment has to be fought against, he has to deny himself every bodily pleasure if he wants to be spiritually considered.... He must want to give everything in order to be able to receive everything, for only then will he completely detach himself from matter and can now also enter the spiritual kingdom unhindered, which is now the fulfilment of his longing. If the human being desires earthly things he must often be denied them for the sake of his soul, but if he desires spiritual things his desire will be fulfilled without measure. For God sets no limits, He always gives if His gift is desired.... Yet it is only possible to grasp this gift in all its value and to feel it in all its deliciousness when every earthly desire has been stifled, when the human being's mind has completely turned to the spiritual and thus his soul has united with the spirit, for now the living water flows unstoppably from the spring and is refreshment and refreshment for the thirsting soul....

Quell des Wissens.... Köstlicher Labetrunk....

Unerschöpflich ist der Quell des Wissens und unvorstellbar die Kraft, die ihm entströmt. Und so ihr Menschen nur schöpfen wollt, werdet ihr euch laben dürfen an diesem Quell. Doch dürsten muß es euch danach, denn es ist der Labetrunk zu köstlich, als daß er unbegehrt den Menschen zufließen könnte. Was Gott Selbst euch bietet, kann nicht anders als köstlich sein. Und darum sollt ihr es begehren aus tiefstem Herzensgrund, ihr sollt keinem anderen Verlangen in euch Raum geben und nur nach der göttlichen Gabe euch sehnen. Und ihr werdet gar bald nur noch vom Himmel gespeist zu werden verlangen, denn nichts kommt der Speise und dem Trank von oben gleich. Und ihr müsset das Sehnen danach über Hindernisse zu verstärken suchen, es muß ein jedes Hindernis euch zu erhöhter Sehnsucht treiben. Es kann darum euer Leben, die ihr die Gaben des Himmels in Empfang nehmen wollt, nicht eintönig und ungestört vorübergehen. Der Weg zum Quell, der euch laben soll, ist mühselig, verheißet aber euch herrlichsten Lohn, so ihr nicht ermüdet und trotz Hindernissen vorzudringen versucht. Nie dürfet ihr vergessen, daß Gott Selbst euch diesen Quell erschließt, daß Er es ist, Der euch laben und stärken will auf dem Weg durch das Erdenleben; daß Seine unendliche Liebe für euch das Köstlichste bereithält und es euch zuwenden will und nur eure Empfangswilligkeit fordert, um euch ungemessen bedenken zu können. Es muß der Mensch opfern, um empfangen zu können. Alles, was in ihm nach irdischer Erfüllung verlangt, muß bekämpft werden, er muß sich jede leibliche Freude versagen, will er geistig bedacht werden.... Er muß alles hingeben wollen, um alles empfangen zu können, denn dann erst löst er sich gänzlich von der Materie und kann nun auch ungehindert eindringen in das geistige Reich, das ihm nun die Erfüllung seines Sehnens ist. Begehrt der Mensch Irdisches, so muß es ihm um seiner Seele willen oft versagt bleiben, begehrt er jedoch Geistiges, so wird sein Begehren ungemessen erfüllt. Denn Gott setzt keine Grenzen, Er gibt immer, so Seine Gabe begehrt wird.... Doch diese Gabe in ihrem ganzen Wert erfassen und in aller Köstlichkeit empfinden zu können ist erst dann möglich, wenn jedes irdische Verlangen erstickt ist, wenn sich der Menschen Sinn ganz dem Geistigen zugewandt hat und also seine Seele sich mit dem Geist vereint hat, denn nun strömet das lebendige Wasser unaufhaltsam aus dem Quell und ist Labung und Erquickung der dürstenden Seele....
