Union with God consequence of active love....

Finding inner contact with the divine is always a consequence of love awakened in the human being. It is impossible that a human being can unite with God who has not first manifested the will to affirmatively attune himself to the eternal deity through loving activity. From this it emerges that only through love can a union with God be achieved, that therefore the union with God presupposes having become love. It is also understandable that God, as love itself, will be there where true love becomes active. Thus, in a work of love, the human being senses the presence of eternal love as an increased impulse to love and a blissful awareness of strength. This is hardly perceptible in a purely physical sense, but the soul feels it unconsciously, so to speak, in inner peace and heightened joy of life, which, however, is not directed towards earthly interests. It seeks to explore God and infinity.... Once it has become active in love, it will feel prompted to think about God and the spiritual. For it is the consequence of the heart's love that the eternal love now reveals Itself to the human being and turns his train of thought towards Itself. And the human being feels at ease in the spiritual atmosphere that now surrounds him. He senses the divine where It approaches him, he allows himself to be seized by the strength of divine love, he tries to shape himself such that he is worthy of this divine union, and from then on he remains anxious for the salvation of his soul since he regocnizes that the human being's goal should be union with God. He by no means needs to withdraw from the duties of earthly life, he just has to be careful to prioritize the work on his soul over earthly endeavours, then earthly activity is likewise conducive to the soul's higher development. If he starts and ends everything with God and only ever strives for closeness to God, all earthly activity will be a blessing for him, for he will now consciously serve his fellow human beings through his earthly labour, and he can effortlessly master it if only he always desires the strength from God and constantly practices love. For now he does everything with God, Who is with him in every labour of love. He has detached himself from the realm of darkness and consciously entered the realm of light.... And light always means closeness to God.... His spirit must now also have awakened, thus the light must be synonymous with knowledge, for God is wisdom and love.... If God as love is connected with man through works of love, wisdom must also communicate itself to man in the same measure. A loving earthly being must simultaneously be a knowing being, for if God reveals Himself to the human being through love, He does not exclude wisdom, and the human being who has united with God through love will always stand in knowledge....

사랑을 행한 결과로 하나님과 하나가 되는 일.

신성과 내적으로 접촉하는 일은 항상 사람 안에서 깨어난 사랑의 결과이다. 사랑을 행함을 통해 이 전에 영원한 신성을 시인하는 것을 증명하지 않은 사람이 하나님과 연합하는 일은 불가능하다. 이로써 단지 사랑만이 하나님과 하나가 되는 일을 이룰 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 그러므로 하나님과 연합은 자신이 사랑으로 변화되는 일을 선행조건으로 한다. 더 나아가 사랑 자체인 하나님이 진정으로 사랑을 행하는 곳에서만 거할 수 있는 일은 이해할 수 있는 일이다. 그러므로 사람은 사랑을 행하는 가운데 동시에 영원한 사랑이 임재하는 것을 느낀다. 영원한 사랑은 사랑을 행하게 더 많이 자극하고, 행복하게 해주는 능력을 의식하게 한다. 순전히 육체적으로는 이를 적게 느낄 수 있다. 그럴지라도 혼은 어느 정도 의식하지 못하는 가운데 내적인 평안과 높아진 삶의 기쁨을, 그럴지라도 세상적인 것에 관심을 갖지 않는 삶의 기쁨을 느낀다. 혼은 하나님을 구하고, 무한을 연구하려고 시도한다. 혼이 한번 사랑을 행하게 되면, 혼은 하나님과 영적인 존재에 관해 생각하려는 느낌을 갖는다. 왜냐하면 심장으로 사랑을 행한 결과는 영원한 사랑이 이제 사람에게 자신을 깨달을 수 있게 해주는 일이고, 그의 생각이 영원한 사랑 자신에게 향하는 일이기 때문이다.

사람은 이제 자신 주변을 둘러싸는 영적인 환경 안에서 행복하게 느낀다. 그는 신성이 자신에게 가까이 다가오는 곳에서 신성을 느낀다. 그는 하나님의 사랑의 능력이 자신을 붙잡게 한다. 그는 스스로 자신을 하나님과 연결되기에 합당하게 만들려고 시도하고, 계속해서 자신의 혼의 구원을 위해 노력한다. 왜냐하면 그가 하나님과 연합을 이루는 일이 사람의 목표인 것을 깨닫기 때문이다. 그는 이제 절대로 이 땅의 삶의 의무를 벗어날 필요가 없다. 그는 단지 자신의 혼을 위한 일을 세상적인 보다 앞세우는 것에 주의를 기울이기만 하면 된다. 그러면 세상 일은 동시에 혼이 높은 곳으로 성장하게 지원한다. 그가 모든 일을 하나님과 함께 시작하고, 하나님과 함께 마치고, 항상 단지 하나님과 연합을 추구하면, 모든 세상의 일은 그에게 축복이 될 것이다. 왜냐하면 그는 이제 자신의 세상 일을 통해 의식적으로 이웃 사람들을 섬기기 때문이다. 그가 항상 단지 하나님으로부터 온 능력을 갈망하고, 스스로 항상 사랑을 행하면, 그는 이 일을 힘들지 않게 수행할 수 있다.

왜냐하면 그가 이제 행하는 모든 사랑을 행하는 일에 함께 하는 하나님과 함께, 모든 일을 실행하기 때문이다. 그는 자신을 어두움의 나라에서 자유롭게 만들었고, 이제 의식적으로 빛의 나라에 들어갔다. 빛은 항상 하나님에게 가까이 있음을 의미하고, 그의 영은 이제 깨어나야만 한다. 빚은 지식과 같은 의미를 가지고 있다. 왜냐하면 하나님이 지혜와 사랑이기 때문이다. 사랑을 행함을 통해 사랑의 하나님과 연합이 되면, 같은 크기로 지혜가 사람들에게 전해져야만 한다. 사랑을 행하는 세상의 존재는 동시에 지식을 가진 존재가 돼야만 한다. 왜냐하면 하나님이 사랑을 통해 자신을 사람에게 알리면, 그는 지혜를 제외시키지 않기 때문이다. 사랑을 통해 자신과 하나님을 연결시키는 사람은 항상 지식을 얻게 될 것이다.
