Charity.... earthly and spiritual need....

Practicing the purest, most unselfish charity is unspeakably valuable for the soul's development. This activity on earth already brings it a high degree of maturity, and at death the soul regocnizes the blessed path it has travelled. A person should always be willing to serve and give.... He should always put the welfare of his fellow human beings before his own welfare; his innermost instinct should prompt him to do all works that serve the welfare of his fellow human beings. He should think of his body and soul, help him in earthly need and seek above all to remedy his spiritual need. Practicing love in earthly life is the noblest task of man and the true following of Jesus. For it includes everything that God requires of him.... The person who practices love will become gentle and patient, he will also be peace-loving and merciful, for if he loves his fellow human beings, all these virtues are inherent in him, for love is divine and therefore also ennobles the nature of man. If a person considers the poor state of soul of an erring person, he will take pity on him and let his active help become active.... he will give what the other person lacks and introduce him to the truth, for his power of cognition will always allow him to find the right thing to do in order to successfully overcome the misery of such an ignorant soul. Taking care of the fellow human being's soul's salvation is the greatest work of mercy, for it spares him the unspeakable suffering which awaits an imperfect soul in the beyond. And patience and love must always prevail, for this work is arduous and therefore requires the greatest love and patience if success is to be achieved. The path to the heights can only be travelled through love; love can never be eliminated, for God is love.... Seeking God without love will be without success, for eternal love can only be found through active neighbourly love.... Yet precisely love is so little respected and people's state of soul is therefore so low that these souls will inevitably suffer greatest hardship. And if the soul is to be spared this hardship in the beyond, then the human being must still be afflicted on earth so that love will unfold in him, so that one person will endeavour to make the earthly misery bearable for the other and thereby reduce the hardship of the soul. For the soul needs other means than the body for its well-being. Only the works of love benefit the soul; everything that the body denies itself in favour of the fellow human being will help it to rise. And therefore people should always endeavour to suppress their self-love and allow everything that seems desirable to them to go to their fellow human being. And thus, if a person strives for the maturity of his soul, he should also not neglect to help his fellow human being to mature his soul by willingly and joyfully giving him his knowledge of the truth.... by instructing him about God, His infinite love and mercy and about man's actual task on earth. And if he has succeeded in rescuing a soul from the darkness, he has been truly selflessly active in neighbourly love, and this earns him the most glorious reward, for the spiritual hardship among humanity is far greater than the physical tribulations. And therefore practice love so that you have a redeeming effect on earth....

Caridade.... Necessidades terrestres e espirituais....

Praticar o amor ao próximo mais puro e altruísta é inexprimivelmente valioso para o desenvolvimento da alma. Esta atividade na Terra já lhe traz um alto grau de maturidade e, quando morre, a alma reconhece o caminho abençoado que percorreu. O ser humano deve estar sempre disposto e pronto a servir.... Ele deve sempre colocar o bem-estar dos seus semelhantes à frente do seu próprio bem-estar, o seu instinto mais íntimo deve levá-lo a fazer todas as obras em benefício dos seus semelhantes. Ele deve pensar no seu corpo e alma, ajudá-lo na adversidade terrena e acima de tudo tentar remediar a sua adversidade espiritual. Praticar o amor na vida terrena é a tarefa mais nobre do homem e o verdadeiro seguimento de Jesus. Pois inclui tudo o que Deus requer dele.... Uma pessoa que é amorosamente ativa tornar-se-á gentil e paciente, será também amante da paz e misericordiosa, pois se ama seus semelhantes todas essas virtudes são suas, pois o amor é divino e, portanto, enobrece também a natureza do ser humano. Se o ser humano agora considera o pobre estado de alma de uma pessoa em erro, ele terá piedade dele e deixará a sua ajuda activa tornar-se activa.... ele dará o que falta ao outro e o apresentará à verdade, pois seu poder de realização sempre lhe permite encontrar o que é certo para controlar com sucesso as dificuldades de uma alma tão ignorante. Cuidar da salvação da alma de um ser humano é a maior obra de misericórdia, pois lhe poupa o sofrimento indizível que espera uma alma imperfeita no além. E a paciência e o amor devem sempre prevalecer, pois este trabalho é árduo e, portanto, requer o maior amor e paciência para que o sucesso seja alcançado. O caminho da ascensão só pode ser percorrido através do amor; o amor nunca pode ser eliminado, pois Deus é amor.... Buscar a Deus sem amor não será bem sucedido, pois o amor eterno só pode ser encontrado através do amor de vizinhança ativa.... No entanto, o amor em particular é tão pouco respeitado e o estado de alma das pessoas é, portanto, tão baixo que as maiores privações dessas almas são inevitáveis. E para que a alma seja poupada desta adversidade no além, o homem ainda deve ser visitado na Terra, para que o amor se desenvolva nele, para que uma pessoa tente tornar o destino terreno suportável para a outra e assim reduzir a adversidade espiritual. Pois a alma precisa de outros meios que não o corpo para o seu bem-estar. Só as obras de amor beneficiam a alma, tudo aquilo que o corpo se nega a si mesmo em favor do semelhante o ajudará a ascender. E por isso as pessoas devem ter sempre o cuidado de suprimir o seu amor-próprio e deixar que tudo o que lhes pareça desejável vá para o seu semelhante. E assim, se o ser humano se esforça pela maturidade da sua alma, também não deve descuidar de ajudar o seu semelhante a atingir a maturidade da alma, dando-lhe de bom grado e com alegria o seu conhecimento da verdade.... instruindo-o sobre Deus, Seu infinito amor e misericórdia e sobre a tarefa real do ser humano na Terra. E se ele conseguiu salvar uma alma das trevas, foi verdadeiramente desinteressadamente ativo no amor ao próximo, e isso lhe rendeu a recompensa mais gloriosa, pois as dificuldades espirituais da humanidade são muito maiores do que as tribulações físicas. E, portanto, pratica o amor para que tenhas um efeito redentor na terra....
