The power of evil....

The power of evil over the human soul is immense and has a terrible effect.... If it is not resisted by man, it poisons all his thoughts and feelings and the spiritual state that currently dominates the earth makes itself felt. The spiritual state of humanity is clearly expressed by the events of our time. Humanity rages against each other without mercy, and without insight it fights each other and does not regocnize its spiritual state.... it does not give an account of what lies at the root of humanity's boundless misery.... Everyone has only himself and his advantages in mind and does not shy away from appalling means in order to exploit this advantage. And all compassion, all mercy has disappeared among mankind. Only hatred and discord prevail on earth, the commandment of love is completely disregarded and no-one regards his neighbour as God's creature.... It has become an almost unstable state, a raging among each other that eclipses everything that has gone before.... And who brought about this depravity among people? Who was the cause of this immense spiritual decay of the whole of humanity? It lacks the will to resist, it lacks the strength to offer resistance against the onslaught of this very evil power.... Man could overcome every temptation if he would ask for the necessary strength, but he does not desire it, he carelessly passes by where the strength to resist is offered to him and is available to him unmeasured.... He switches God off, so to speak, and believes that he does not need His support, and the consequence of this is that he is no longer a match for the evil power.... The consequence of his arrogance is the deep fall, for the opposing power wrestles down the will, it first weakens it in order to finally render the human being completely without will, and then his strength is no longer great enough to free himself from the enemy's shackles if he endeavours to escape it.... For he lacks a saviour, he lacks support in adversity. And if you humans now consider how firmly the adversary holds you in his hands, how he has complete control over you, you must now look for a way out of the captivity into which you have brought yourselves.... you must still turn to Him in the last hour Who can deliver you from every adversity and danger.... and you will truly not make a wrong request.... He will strengthen you with His strength, He will guide your thoughts towards the right realization, and He will support everyone who repentantly regocnizes his previous wrong thinking in his striving for truth, for the right.... In every spiritual weakness He gives you strength to resist, and He wrestles as it were with the adversary for every person's soul.... And the lord sends His messengers so that they may tell of God's love and warn the unbelievers or strengthen those who are weak in faith, so that they may be guided by their realization in the battle with the adversary, so that they may take the right path and indeed turn to the father in heaven for help, Who will truly not deny it to them.... They only have to sacrifice their will to the eternal deity, they must not want what appears to them to be the only desirable thing but only think of the salvation of their souls, and thus they must also be willing to detach themselves from the world which had dominated them until then. And if this were achieved without severity and violent measures, the judgement would remain averted, but for those who are hardened and hard-hearted the voice will resound more forcefully and the hardship on earth will provide the clearest proof of this, that God will not allow Himself to be mocked and that He therefore allows the events to come upon earth and its inhabitants, as it were as a last call from above, so that He either pulls humanity back from the abyss or announces its eternal downfall, for this is the only means which can still remedy the spiritual hardship on earth....

악의 권세.

인간의 혼에 미치는 악의 권세는 엄청나고, 끔찍하게 역사한다. 인간의 편에서 이런 권세에 저항하지 않으면, 악의 권세가 사람의 모든 생각과 느낌에 독을 뿌리고, 그런 영의 상태가 현재 이 땅을 지배하는 것처럼 눈에 띄게 나타난다. 인류가 영적으로 어떤 상태인지를 현재에 일어나는 일들이 분명하게 나타내 주고 있다. 인류는 긍휼이 없이 서로에게 대항하여 격노하고, 이해심이 없이 서로 싸운다. 인류는 그들의 영의 상태를 깨닫지 못한다. 인류는 인류의 무한한 불행의 근본 원인에 대한 해명을 하려고 하지 않는다. 모든 사람은 자신과 자신의 유익만을 염두에 두고, 이런 유익을 위해 끔찍한 수단을 사용하기를 주저하지 않는다.

모든 연민과 모든 긍휼이 인류 사이에서 사라졌다. 이 땅에 단지 증오와 불화만이 지배적이고, 사랑의 계명은 완전히 무시되고, 아무도 이웃을 마찬가지로 하나님의 피조물로 여기지 않는다. 이런 상태는 거의 불안정한 상태가 되었다. 서로 간의 분노가 이전에 있었던 모든 것을 덮고 있다. 누가 사람들의 타락을 가져왔는가? 인류 전체의 이 엄청난 영적 쇠퇴의 원인은 누구인가? 인류에게 저항하려는 의지가 없다. 인류에게 바로 이런 악한 권세의 공격에 저항할 힘이 부족하다.

사람이 필요한 힘을 구하면, 모든 시험을 이길 수 있다. 그러나 그는 필요한 힘을 갈망하지 않고, 그에게 저항할 힘이 넘치게 제공되는 곳에 주의를 기울이지 않고 지나친다. 그는 말하자면 하나님을 제외시키고, 하나님의 지원이 필요하지 않는다고 믿는다. 그로 인한 결과는 그가 더 이상 악한 세력에 필적할 수 없게 되는 일이다. 그의 오만함의 결과는 깊은 타락이다. 왜냐하면 대적자의 세력이 의지를 제압하고, 결국에는 사람을 완전히 의지가 없게 만들기 위해, 먼저 의지를 약하게 하기 때문이다. 그러면 그의 힘은 그가 족쇄를 벗어나려고 할 때 더 이상 원수의 족쇄에서 벗어날 만큼 충분히 크지 않는다.

너희 사람들이 이제 대적자가 얼마나 너희를 그의 손에 단단히 붙들고 있는 지를 생각한다면, 그가 너희를 향한 완전한 권세를 가지고 있음을 생각한다면, 너희는 이제 너희가 스스로 너희를 포로로 만든 포로상태에서 탈출구를 찾아야만 한다. 너희는 아직 마지막 순간에 모든 고난과 위험 속에서 너희를 해방시킬 수 있는 분을 의지해야만 한다. 너희는 진실로 헛되게 요청을 하지 않게 될 것이다. 그는 자신의 능력으로 너희를 강화시킬 것이다. 그는 너희의 생각을 올바른 깨달음으로 인도할 것이다. 그는 후회하며, 이전의 자신의 잘못된 생각을 깨닫는 모든 사람이 진리를 향해, 의로움을 향해 추구하는 일을 도울 것이다. 그는 모든 영적인 연약함 가운데 있는 너희에게 저항할 힘을 주고, 동시에 모든 인간의 혼을 얻기 위해 대적자와 싸운다.

주님은 하나님의 사랑을 전하고, 불신자들에게 경고하거나 믿음이 약한 사람들을 강하게 하도록 자신의 사자들을 보낸다. 이로써 그들이 대적자와 싸움에서 그들 자신의 깨달음에 의해 인도받게 하고, 그들이 올바른 길을 가고, 그들이 진실로 도움을 주는 일을 거부하지 않을 하늘 아버지의 도움을 구하게 한다. 그들은 단지 영원한 신성에게 자신의 의지를 바치기만 하면 된다. 그들은 그들에게 자신에게 유일하게 갈망할 만하게 보이는 것을 원해서는 안 되고, 단지 그들의 혼의 구원을 생각해야만 한다. 그러므로 그들은 또한 자신이 지금까지 그들을 지배했던 세상을 떠날 의지를 가져야만 한다.

엄하고 강압적인 조치가 없이 이런 일에 도달하면, 심판은 피할 수 있게 될 것이다. 그러나 완고하고 강팍한 심장을 가진 사람들은 음성이 더 강력하게 들릴 것이고, 이 땅의 위험이 하나님이 자신을 조롱하게 하지 않는다는 가장 분명한 증거를 줄 것이다. 그러므로 하나님은 사건들이 이 땅과 그의 주민들에게 임하게 한다. 동시에 높은 곳에서 주는 마지막 부름으로써 임하게 한다. 이로써 부름이 인류를 심연에서 다시 끌어 내거나, 인류에게 영원한 파멸을 알려준다. 왜냐하면 이런 일이 이 땅의 위험을 해결할 수 있는 유일한 수단이기 때문이다.
