The power of evil....

The power of evil over the human soul is immense and has a terrible effect.... If it is not resisted by man, it poisons all his thoughts and feelings and the spiritual state that currently dominates the earth makes itself felt. The spiritual state of humanity is clearly expressed by the events of our time. Humanity rages against each other without mercy, and without insight it fights each other and does not regocnize its spiritual state.... it does not give an account of what lies at the root of humanity's boundless misery.... Everyone has only himself and his advantages in mind and does not shy away from appalling means in order to exploit this advantage. And all compassion, all mercy has disappeared among mankind. Only hatred and discord prevail on earth, the commandment of love is completely disregarded and no-one regards his neighbour as God's creature.... It has become an almost unstable state, a raging among each other that eclipses everything that has gone before.... And who brought about this depravity among people? Who was the cause of this immense spiritual decay of the whole of humanity? It lacks the will to resist, it lacks the strength to offer resistance against the onslaught of this very evil power.... Man could overcome every temptation if he would ask for the necessary strength, but he does not desire it, he carelessly passes by where the strength to resist is offered to him and is available to him unmeasured.... He switches God off, so to speak, and believes that he does not need His support, and the consequence of this is that he is no longer a match for the evil power.... The consequence of his arrogance is the deep fall, for the opposing power wrestles down the will, it first weakens it in order to finally render the human being completely without will, and then his strength is no longer great enough to free himself from the enemy's shackles if he endeavours to escape it.... For he lacks a saviour, he lacks support in adversity. And if you humans now consider how firmly the adversary holds you in his hands, how he has complete control over you, you must now look for a way out of the captivity into which you have brought yourselves.... you must still turn to Him in the last hour Who can deliver you from every adversity and danger.... and you will truly not make a wrong request.... He will strengthen you with His strength, He will guide your thoughts towards the right realization, and He will support everyone who repentantly regocnizes his previous wrong thinking in his striving for truth, for the right.... In every spiritual weakness He gives you strength to resist, and He wrestles as it were with the adversary for every person's soul.... And the lord sends His messengers so that they may tell of God's love and warn the unbelievers or strengthen those who are weak in faith, so that they may be guided by their realization in the battle with the adversary, so that they may take the right path and indeed turn to the father in heaven for help, Who will truly not deny it to them.... They only have to sacrifice their will to the eternal deity, they must not want what appears to them to be the only desirable thing but only think of the salvation of their souls, and thus they must also be willing to detach themselves from the world which had dominated them until then. And if this were achieved without severity and violent measures, the judgement would remain averted, but for those who are hardened and hard-hearted the voice will resound more forcefully and the hardship on earth will provide the clearest proof of this, that God will not allow Himself to be mocked and that He therefore allows the events to come upon earth and its inhabitants, as it were as a last call from above, so that He either pulls humanity back from the abyss or announces its eternal downfall, for this is the only means which can still remedy the spiritual hardship on earth....

Die Macht des Bösen....

Die Macht des Bösen auf die menschliche Seele ist gewaltig, und sie wirket sich entsetzlich aus.... Wird ihr kein Widerstand entgegengesetzt von seiten des Menschen, so vergiftet sie alles Denken und Fühlen dessen, und es macht sich jener geistige Zustand bemerkbar, wie er zur Zeit die Erde beherrscht. In welcher Verfassung die Menschheit nun geistig ist, das bringen die Zeitereignisse deutlich zum Ausdruck. Ohne Erbarmen wütet die Menschheit gegeneinander, und ohne Einsicht bekämpfet sie sich, und sie erkennet nicht ihren Geisteszustand.... sie gibt sich nicht Rechenschaft, was dem grenzenlosen Elend der Menschheit zugrunde liegt.... Ein jeder hat nur sich und seine Vorteile vor Augen und schrecket nicht vor entsetzlichen Mitteln zurück, um diesen Vorteil auszunutzen. Und jegliches Mitgefühl, jegliches Erbarmen ist unter der Menschheit verschwunden. Es ist nur Haß und Zwietracht auf Erden vorherrschend es wird das Liebesgebot völlig mißachtet und es betrachtet keiner den Nächsten als gleichfalls Gottes Geschöpf.... Es ist ein nahezu haltloser Zustand geworden, ein Wüten untereinander, das alles Bisherige in den Schatten stellt.... Und wer brachte diese Verworfenheit der Menschen zustande? Wer war der Anlaß zu diesem ungeheuren geistigen Verfall der gesamten Menschheit? Es fehlt dieser der Widerstandswillen, es fehlt ihr die Kraft, um Widerstand zu bieten gegen die Anstürme ebendieser bösen Macht.... Es könnte der Mensch jede Anfechtung überwinden, so er sich die dazu nötige Kraft erbitten würde, doch er begehret sie nicht, er geht achtlos vorüber, wo ihm die Kraft zum Widerstand geboten wird und ungemessen ihm zur Verfügung steht.... Er schaltet sozusagen Gott aus und glaubet, Seine Unterstützung nicht zu benötigen, und die Folge davon ist, daß er der bösen Macht nicht mehr gewachsen ist.... Die Folge seiner Überheblichkeit ist der tiefe Fall, denn es ringet die gegnerische Macht den Willen nieder, sie schwächt ihn zuerst, um den Menschen zuletzt völlig willenlos zu machen, und es ist dann dessen Kraft nicht mehr groß genug, sich aus den Fesseln des Feindes zu befreien, so er sich bemüht, sich ihr zu entwinden.... Denn ihm fehlt der Retter, ihm fehlt der Beistand in der Not. Und wenn ihr Menschen nun dies bedenket, wie fest euch der Widersacher in seinen Händen hält, wie er völlig über euch Gewalt hat, so müsset ihr nun einen Ausweg suchen aus der Gefangenschaft, in die ihr euch selbst brachtet.... ihr müsset noch in letzter Stunde euch an Den wenden, Der euch befreien kann aus jeder Not und Gefahr.... und ihr werdet wahrlich keine Fehlbitte tun.... Er wird euch stärken mit Seiner Kraft, Er wird eure Gedanken leiten dem rechten Erkennen entgegen, und Er wird einem jeden, der reuig sein bisheriges falsches Denken erkennt, beistehen im Streben nach der Wahrheit, nach dem Recht.... In jeder geistigen Schwäche gibt Er euch Kraft zum Widerstand, und Er ringet gleichsam mit dem Widersacher um eines jeden Menschen Seele.... Und es sendet der Herr Seine Boten, auf daß sie Kunde geben sollen von der Liebe Gottes und warnen die Ungläubigen oder stärken, die schwach im Glauben sind, auf daß sie im Kampf mit dem Widersacher sich von ihrem Erkennen leiten lassen, auf daß sie den rechten Weg gehen, und zwar den Vater im Himmel um Hilfe angehen, Der sie ihnen wahrlich nicht versagen wird.... Nur ihren Willen müssen sie der ewigen Gottheit opfern, sie dürfen nicht wollen, was ihnen als einzig begehrenswert erscheint, sondern nur an das Heil ihrer Seelen denken, und also müssen sie auch willens sein, sich zu lösen von der Welt, die sie bis dahin beherrschte. Und so dies erreicht würde ohne Strenge und gewaltsame Maßnahmen, würde das Strafgericht abgewendet bleiben, doch denen, die verstockten und harten Herzens sind, wird die Stimme gewaltiger ertönen, und die Not auf Erden wird den klarsten Beweis dessen erbringen, daß Gott Seiner nicht spotten läßt und Er die Ereignisse daher so über die Erde und ihre Bewohner kommen läßt, gleichsam als letzten Ruf aus der Höhe, auf daß er entweder die Menschheit vom Abgrund zurückreiße oder ihr ewiges Verderben ankündige, denn es ist dies das einzige Mittel, das die geistige Not auf Erden noch beheben kann....
